Rockman's Rocks!
10/10 recommend Rockman's! They did a Southern hog roast (in the middle of December!) for a rehearsal dinner, and our guests raved about the food. The staff was extremely professional, organized, and cleaned up after themselves as if they'd never been to the venue. They were super easy to work with throughout the entire planning process, even with a pandemic trying to throw a wrench in the planning. We don't live in the area, but if we ever had an occasion to use them again, we absolutely would. The least we can do is make sure the word gets out in their area -- Rockman's rocks!Rockman's Catering's reply:

Rockman's Catering was the perfect choice for my wedding! Throughout the planning process they remained professional and attentive, which was so helpful during our Covid wedding process. Brooke Sent on 08/20/2018We had Rockman's cater my sister's wedding 5 years ago, it was a no brainer to have them cater my wedding. They DID NOT disappoint. I honestly have never heard so many compliments on the food, not only that night or the next day but weeks after. Scott was so amazing to work with - I had a lot of questions, requests, and opinions which he helped with every single time. I wanted to lower the cost of the overall price for dinner and he showed me different options on how to best do that. We needed bartenders and they provided them - which were great that night and so was the wait staff. I supplied my own alcohol and soda but Scott still helped me determine how much of everything I needed. I wanted certain decorations to go on the table to display the food for dessert and appetizers and they displayed everything beautifully! I would HIGHLY recommend them for any catering you need!!Rockman's Catering's reply:

We had Rockman’s for our passed appetizers at our reception. They had a large amount of food options and even created a custom app for us at our tasting! Everyone at the reception loved the food - the stuffed blt tomatoes are amazing. They were very professional at the reception, dressed nicely and very polite. We thought they were very affordable too! They also were our vendor for glassware and napkins.Rockman's Catering's reply:

User1098009 Sent on 02/25/2013Food was one of my biggest worries with planning a wedding because it is something everyone remembers. With Rockmans I had nothing to worry about!! I had people telling me for days how much they loved the food! I thought it was amazing, they did a great job taking care of all the food and my hot chocolate bar! It was super nice that we were able to try of their menu items so that we knew what we wanted.

Maureen Sent on 11/08/2012You always want amazing food at your wedding with wonderful service, with Rockman's Catering you definitely get both. They did everything we wanted plus offered us more.
We went with their two entree premium buffet dinner for our guests plus they served kids meals to the children at the beginning to help their parents get their food. This really helped the flow of the dinner and getting everyone through the line quickly.
Coffee and milk were included with the cost along with all serving ware. We payed a small fee for them to cut and serve our cake.
Our guests were wowed and really loved the wild rice stuffed chicken and the pecan encrusted salmon. A few were even pumped that they served the leftover macaroni and cheese from the kids meals. :)
Overall great company and so wonderful and easy to work with. -
User1792469 Sent on 09/03/2014Rockman's was really good. I wanted a Kenyan-American Menu and they blew our guests away. Many people said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Scott was very responsive in answering my requests and many, many questions throughout the planning process. On the wedding day, his service team was receptive and professional. The food was delicious as well. To be absolutely picky, some textures were a little off probably due to using instant ingredients or different grains, but for someone who has never made the Kenyan dishes in bulk before, of course I will let it go!
One drawback were the bartenders-I caught them serving alcohol to underage guests. Maybe they didn't know those cocktail had alcohol or they didn't care, but that could have ended up very badly...
Still, I would use this company for every event I need catered if I could. -
User2314951 Sent on 09/14/2015Rockman's did a great job catering to our wedding location and everyone loved the appetizers. We ordered Roast beef and Chicken as our main course's and were slightly disappointed in the quality of the food. A lot of the side dishes were cold by the time they reached the tables. There was no flavor to the corn or green beans, so we needed to add salt and butter. The gravy and potatoes were good, as was the stuffing. The chicken was good, but the beef was cold and not very flavorful. For 27$ a plate, we were hoping to at least have our guests compliment the food here or there. We didn't really get a lot of positive feedback, however.

We booked Rockman's for our wedding because they have the best reputation in the area. Unfortunately, the service we received the weekend of our wedding was not what we were promised or expecting.
After our disappointing service, I reached out to them to share some of the mistakes we encountered during our dinner and reception. They NEVER responded to my emails. It's like they basically took our money an ran.
The staff tried to start our dinner service an entire hour early. It was clear they never read the run-of-events document to know what details we ironed out in advanced. The bartenders never restocked our drink cooler (my brother-in-law had to), only filled the water dispenser when asked, they told us we were out of ice when there were 4 bags in the freezer (I had a guest run to get ice), they mixed cocktails in dispensers that were designated for lemonade and had to dump it at OUR expense. They didn't even know how to make a Moscow mule - which was one of our signature cocktails. The food ran out before two tables were served, which we were assured they always provide extra and we had less people than I had them prepare for. I had to tell the staff they needed to scoop ice cream for my dessert bar (they should have known this).
Additionally, my guests had to break down our own tables, the staff had to be told to clear a heaping pile of dishes on the head table, and above all the meat was so fatty most of my guests couldn't eat it.
The bride should never have to get up from the head table during dinner to walk over to the bar and tell the bartenders to stop serving drinks and to dump the drinks because they were seen putting alcohol into the lemonade dispenser and kids could have gotten into it!
If you book them, I hope you have better service for your event than we did. Dealing with Scott during the planning process and tasting was wonderful, but the staff the day of was HORRIBLE!
