Martina Sent on 03/25/2018I booked Rouge as part of my sister's Bachelorette weekend in NYC and we had a great time! Five of us made custom lipsticks, two girls got lashes, and one girl did a make-up refresh service. Jessey helped me book all of the appointments. She was very helpful in answering all of my e-mailed questions in a timely manner.
We got complimentary champagne when we got to Rouge and it was a very laid-back, relaxing environment. Making the custom lipstick was a lot of fun. I had a specific shade in mind and Esther was super patient with me as I kept requesting little changes to the color as she was mixing it. I love that they keep your custom shade on file so you can always order it in the future once you run out. She also did the make-up service for my friend, which came out gorgeous and lasted through the night.
I got a matte finish lipstick which I put on that afternoon after we left Rouge and it lasted through dinner and late-night karaoke!
This was a really fun, unique idea for the Bachelorette party and I definitely would recommend coming here! -
User2741561 Sent on 08/25/2016Chelsea from Rouge Soho did my wedding makeup and my mother's for my ceremony in June and reception in August. I also did a trial with her at Rouge Soho a few days before my ceremony. Chelsea is fantastic, and my Rouge experience was wonderful. They were responsive over email and flexible when I needed to make changes to times and numbers of people. Chelsea did an amazing job with my makeup - I have never looked or felt prettier - and she is funny, kind, patient, and very calming. I would use Rouge for any occasion, and hope they open a store in Washington, DC soon! -
User2700279 Sent on 07/25/2016Their quality of work and prices are the same whether you're booking them for a wedding or a birthday party. I've used their services before for a date night, bachelorette and my own wedding, and the range of styles that the artists were able to pull off beautifully and at a moment's notice (i.e., when you first sit in the chair) is very impressive. I had to change up my wedding dress two months before my wedding, and the dress I ended up wearing was very different stylistically to the initial dress. I didn’t have time for a new make-up trial with Joy, the artist I’d booked to do my wedding make-up. Nonetheless, she arrived at my hotel room on the day-of, armed with her bag of make-up tools and goodies, and pulled off the look that I’d wanted for my big day. I was never worried in her capable hands. So is there really a need to line up make-up trials beforehand and pay a premium for “wedding” make-up? If you don’t think so (as do I), then Rouge NY is a great place to check out!
