Ryan Kenner and his wife Laura were a pleasure to work with! They are a sweet couple who are super passionate for photography, and we are so happy with the results. We had an engagement photo shoot in advance of the wedding, which was a great opportunity for Ryan to get to know us. We had so much fun at the engagement shoot that what was originally supposed to be an hour turned into an hour and a half – we never felt like he was rushing us or taking pictures because he had to. He was having fun, which translated to us being comfortable and enjoying the shoot.
The wedding day photography went extremely smoothly –...Ryan Kenner and his wife Laura were a pleasure to work with! They are a sweet couple who are super passionate for photography, and we are so happy with the results. We had an engagement photo shoot in advance of the wedding, which was a great opportunity for Ryan to get to know us. We had so much fun at the engagement shoot that what was originally supposed to be an hour turned into an hour and a half – we never felt like he was rushing us or taking pictures because he had to. He was having fun, which translated to us being comfortable and enjoying the shoot.
The wedding day photography went extremely smoothly – Ryan and Laura knew exactly what they had to do, where they had to be and how much time they had dedicated to everything. The coordinated with us, our event coordinator and our other vendors to make sure they knew the schedule and were present for every major event. Both were in the action and caught everything – we felt very confident throughout. Ryan is a very patient person and a good sport, so he did great working with different personalities on the wedding day.
The wedding album came out great, and we love having digital copies of everything. We would absolutely recommend Ryan and Laura. -

There is so much to be said about your wedding photographer - he or she is the one who is responsible for capturing the biggest day of your life thus far, and there are no do-overs. So I'm going to just make a list.
What I loved:
1. Ryan and Laura are a young married couple who have a genuine idea of what you're looking for because they're not very far removed themselves from what's modern and desirable.
2. I'm extremely camera shy and Ryan made me feel very comfortable by giving me explicit directions, reminding my husband to make me laugh to get more natural smiles, and respecting my request about certain angles to not shoot me...There is so much to be said about your wedding photographer - he or she is the one who is responsible for capturing the biggest day of your life thus far, and there are no do-overs. So I'm going to just make a list.
What I loved:
1. Ryan and Laura are a young married couple who have a genuine idea of what you're looking for because they're not very far removed themselves from what's modern and desirable.
2. I'm extremely camera shy and Ryan made me feel very comfortable by giving me explicit directions, reminding my husband to make me laugh to get more natural smiles, and respecting my request about certain angles to not shoot me from.
3. Laura consistently checked on how I was doing - did I need a break or some space? Did I need some water? It's a little thing but so nice to hear when you're freaking out a little over all the attention and pressure.
4. Ryan bustled my dress! And fixed it twice. His ballroom experience comes in handy!
5. THE PICTURES! Holy cow, they are amazing. Every shot, whether it's people-focused or details from my wedding, has an artsy, elegant feel, never feeling like we were trying to be too trendy and have every picture have a photo booth prop.
6. The quality of the CD with the pictures is much better than I would have expected, with a custom cover.
7. Our engagement session back in February was a great start - beautiful pictures and a chance to get comfortable with the photographers.
Recommendations:
1. Go for an engagement session - you never get to do that again. But be mindful that each photo would need to be purchased separately, at least with the package we bought that was the case. -

Ryan and his wife Laura photographed our wedding in September 2011, and were a big part in making our special day as perfect as it was. From the minute they arrived that day they began photographing everything, and as we look back over our pictures now, we are thrilled with how they captured so many memories for us. It is clear that Ryan is very passionate about what he does, and it shows in how hard he works. Many of our guests commented on how excellent our photographer was, his dedication to the job is definitely clear for everyone to see.
We also had an engagement session with Ryan, and took dance lessons with him to help prepare for...Ryan and his wife Laura photographed our wedding in September 2011, and were a big part in making our special day as perfect as it was. From the minute they arrived that day they began photographing everything, and as we look back over our pictures now, we are thrilled with how they captured so many memories for us. We also had an engagement session with Ryan, and took dance lessons with him to help prepare for our first dance as a married couple. The engagement session was really fun, and was a great way to get to know Ryan and Laura before the wedding. The engagement book that we got was absolutely beautiful and made a wonderful guest book at our wedding. We really enjoyed the dance lessons we took with Ryan as well. Neither one of us had any dance experience, and Ryan was a very patient teacher. Taking the lessons made our first dance even more special for us, we were both really glad that we decided to do it.
We very highly recommend Ryan Kenner Photography, we couldn’t be more happy with everything they have done to help make our wedding the amazing day that it was. No matter how much Ryan and Laura had going on leading up to the wedding, they always made time to check in with us and really made the entire planning process with them go smoothly. We enjoyed every minute of the time we spent working with them, and we are really glad we chose Ryan to be our photographer.

My husband happened across Ryan and Laura's website and they were my first choice just comparing their photos to other photographers we had come across. From our first meeting, they were personable and professional, hauling in lots of photography samples as well as finished album options. My husband particularly liked their idea of using an album of engagement photos as the guest book at the wedding. I wanted to be able to keep digital copies of all the photos, and this is also something that they provide. I was living 7 hours away and so when the day that we had scheduled for the engagement shoot turned out to be rainy, we couldn't just reschedule. Ryan and Laura showed...My husband happened across Ryan and Laura's website and they were my first choice just comparing their photos to other photographers we had come across. From our first meeting, they were personable and professional, hauling in lots of photography samples as well as finished album options. My husband particularly liked their idea of using an album of engagement photos as the guest book at the wedding. I wanted to be able to keep digital copies of all the photos, and this is also something that they provide. I was living 7 hours away and so when the day that we had scheduled for the engagement shoot turned out to be rainy, we couldn't just reschedule. Ryan and Laura showed up in rain gear and didn't let the dreary weather get in the way of taking beautiful shots. The book that they then put together was beautiful! Ryan was also very patient with me as I had other commitments that took priority over wedding planning and he helped ease my burden by putting together sample albums of the engagement shoot, the style of which we ended up using. The day of the wedding, Ryan and Laura showed up early and stayed late. They were everywhere, capturing lots of unique photos and blending in with the wedding (especially impressive because we had only 50 guests). I had given them a list of shots that I wanted and they delivered, even checking in with me at several points during the day to ensure that we hadn't missed any. I've received tons of compliments from friends who've seen the engagement and wedding photos. Within 1.5 weeks of the wedding, we received a beautiful, personalized CD in the mail with all of the photos and are now in the midst of making selections for wedding albums. -

Ultimately, we had to choose between three photographers. Their professionalism, portfolio, and great value stood apart from the other photographers, and we couldn't be happier with our decision.
Our engagement shoot and wedding photos turned out wonderful, and we couldn't be more impressed with how passionate, hard-working and considerate they were through the entire process. They made it easy on us, and captured great moments that we will cherish forever. We were fortunate that most of our wedding decisions turned out the way we hoped they would...but the one that blew us away and surpassed our expectations was choosing Ryan and Laura to be our photographers.

Probably the thing that stands out about Ryan Kenner Photography to us is that he and his team really do want to make you happy. I got the strong sense through the entire evening that he was working really hard to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. They were very flexible, accomodating and a pleasure to work with! Another thing that stood out about Ryan is that he seemed be everywhere (getting all the right shots, capturing spontaneous moments) but nowhere! He blended into the background perfectly without getting in the way of important events just to get a shot (many guests took note of this). He also has a great eye for composition, and we...Probably the thing that stands out about Ryan Kenner Photography to us is that he and his team really do want to make you happy. I got the strong sense through the entire evening that he was working really hard to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. They were very flexible, accomodating and a pleasure to work with! Another thing that stood out about Ryan is that he seemed be everywhere (getting all the right shots, capturing spontaneous moments) but nowhere! He blended into the background perfectly without getting in the way of important events just to get a shot (many guests took note of this). He also has a great eye for composition, and we ended up with some beautiful surprising shots. He worked quickly and was organized, always one step ahead. So many of our guests complimented us on our photographer; a few of them are even in contact with him to do their upcoming nuptials…in other states! Ryan Kenner was the BEST part of our wedding! If anything could go wrong at our wedding, it pretty much did. We got married in the middle of a flood, in Nashville, TN. Even though Ryan is not from the area, he managed to be early to the chapel (even though most people did not make it there at all) and ready for anything that would come his way, even when plans were changing every other moment. He went with the flow and we have the best photographs!
When I look back at our photographs I forget about the craziness of the flood and everything that was happening, we will cherish these photographs for years to come.

His experence in photographing ballroom dance, is perfect for capturing every moment of a wedding. He captures the obvious moments and then the ones, that you don't even know are there, the in betweens. There are so many pictures that would not be possible without his care to detail,you will be impressed, I promise (even if you are drenched and standing in three feet of water). -
