    Easy and memorable

They made it almost too easy to get married there! Almost everything was done and times that felt like I needed so many things done they were really calm and walked me through everything. Would recommend!

Excellent staff, great food, fun and beautiful setting. I highly recommend the Ryde Hotel as a wedding or event venue. I didn't need to hire a wedding planner because the Ryde staff is so helpful in planning the event and the day of coordinator is organized, experienced and knowledgable. I was pleasntly surprised by how delicious the food was and how generous the portions were. Everyone loved the quesadilla bar that was set up during cocktail hour and commented on the quality of the buffet. The steak, chicken and veggies were excellent and the chef accomodated my request to make it feel more like a bbq by cooking outiside during the reception and by adding grilled corn--perfect for a 4th of July weekend wedding! The cake was beautiful and tasted great. Overall, I was very impressed by the staff and their attention to detail. During cocktail hour we were having photos done and the staff brought drinks to everyone who was waiting so they wouldn't leave and go to the bar. It was the little things like this that made the wedding flow and made me a worry-free bride. The front desk manager did an amazing job of making sure all my guests had rooms, got their gift bags and kept me updated each time I called. The outdoor area is a wonderful place to have a ceremony especially in spring or summer. The speakeasy downstairs is perfect for a reception. There is plenty of room for dining and dancing. The dance floor is large and the stage for the DJ or band is perfect. The price for what you get is a great value. I couldn't be happier with my experience at the Ryde. Considering the weather (106 degrees) we could have had a lot of unhappy guests and instead the kids enjoyed the pool and the adults were kept happy with plenty of beverages! The hotel makes for great photos with all of its art deco touches. and its river setting. If you are considereing marrying in the delta I highly recommend the Ryde!

The Ryde Hotel is set up for weddings each weekend. They are incredibly professional, flexible and accommodating. The staff works like a "well oiled machine." Everything was taken care of start to finish. Jan and Natalie, the wedding coordinators met with me whenever necessary and responded to my questions in email within a day. The site has 30 hotel rooms so a majority of our guests stayed over night. We extended the reception until 12:30 am due to the huge built in dance floor! I would strongly recommend The Ryde Hotel.
We couldn't have asked for a better day.

This is where we had our rehearsal dinner and day after the wedding brunch!!! We are from the area so, we might be a bit biased, but you can't beat the ambiance and the great food. They are always open to give tours of the historical hotel. You can have small parties or large parties and stay the night as well. They do weddings also. Sunday's they have a all you can eat buffet and it is amazing! I have never had so much good food at a buffet! Make sure you are hungry!

Such a cool place to tie the knot!!!! Right on the delta and beautiful. Pretty much everything was included in the price, which was a little steep, but well worth it to not have a headache over who was doing the food and the cake and cleaning up and setting up. They handled it all, even a wedding day cordinator. I only had to fuss with my florist, photagrapher and officiant. Very professional staff, and very courtious. Very happy my our decision.

The Ryde is a beautiful location to have a wedding. We used the outside gazebo area for the ceremony, and the Cabaret room downstairs for our reception. Timothy and Sarah are there to help in any way possible, and did a wonderful job. I would say the only part I was disappointed in was that the food came out cold. We did a plated meal, which is always more difficult to time. All in all, the Ryde met our every need. They took care of all that we had asked for, and we are very appreciative of their hard work.

I will start with the good things about this venue. If you want beautiful photos this is your venue! They let you on the roof, there is dock access and the ceremony site and the speakeasy are really pretty. The food was also delicious! They don't double book weddings so you can set up the night before and they block the hotel for only your guests on the night of your wedding. Also, with the exception of Tina and Daniel, the staff is really helpful and nice. That being said, you couldn't pay me to stay there again. The water was brown and smelled so badly of sulfer it was almost unbearable. The place was FILTHY! Nothing had been vacuumed, the showers and tubs were brown with grime, the towels and sheets were dirty even! I paid for open bar and they ran out of most alcohol!! I also contracted for pizza, chicken strips and French fries for a kids buffet and all they served was one round dish of mac and cheese and one dish of Dino chicken nuggets from Costco. My biggest issue is that the hot water heater was broken, they were made well aware in the morning on Friday and never got it fixed. When I insisted they do, I was told the repairman lived 2 hours away and they asked if he could come the next morning. I said absolutely not, there are guests staying and then I was asked "well how many?" And "can't everyone just shower in the morning." I nearly came unglued. They then discovered that the bridal suite that is detached from the hotel had hot water upstairs and called off the repairman. I had 15 people (husbands and boyfriends included) take showers while I was getting ready to walk down the aisle!!! That was unacceptable. Furthermore, the area where the groomsmen and groom are supposed to get ready (located literally under the bridal suite) was crawling with ants and other bugs and was filled with construction equipment and was so dirty. i have way more things to say but I am at the word limit. This place was by far the most unprofessional I've ever encountered.

Do not hold your wedding here! This venue is filthy, ill-equipped, almost impossible to communicate with, and makes promises they have no intention of keeping. The wedding coordinator, Tina, literally dodged our calls and out-and-out lied regarding the condition the grounds would be in by the wedding date and the simple capability of the venue to host a wedding. She disappeared during the set up of the ballroom and outdoor bar - leaving everything to our families to handle. They demanded payment in advance while promising to get the venue in good shape in time for our event. We had to do pour hours of hard work into cleaning up the grounds, trim, mow and rake the lawn, bring our own linens and place settings, do ALL the dinner set up, hire our own servers, etc, etc. The food was nearly inedible and didn't serve all of our guests appropriately. Needless to say, we recommend you stay away from this venue.
