    Best Experience

First off the venue is just gorgeous. With the lake to overlook during the reception it was very picture perfect. I worked with Diana, event planner, during the process and she made everything easy to understand and was always available for questions.
Overall value was great as well: we had access to pretty much everything on-site including the yurt village and directors cabin for the night of the wedding. We received a lot of compliments from our guest about it.
Perfect spot for out little DYI wedding! We also worked with Paul, grounds keeper, during our set up day and the day of the wedding as well and he was super helpful throughout.

Couple of need to know when considering-
It's a state park so you need event insurance (Diana and Heidi were super helpful during this). All your vendors need insurance too.
Phone reception can be hard to come by- we didn't mind as it seemed that 5G phoned were able to make calls.
The beds in the Director Cabin are pretty uncomfortable- we didn't end up sleeping there but it was a great place to get ready in.

Would recommend for the professional staff, value, and beauty.

    Small Summer Wedding

My husband and I were looking for a small outdoor space to have our wedding and after reaching out to more than 40 venues and parks, I found Sal J Prezioso Mountain Lakes Park on a google search and thank goodness I did. The staff there said they would be happy to help us find an outdoor space to have our 20 person wedding. After we got a tour of the grounds, we knew this was the place for us and beyond affordable. It was a steal. The staff were flexible, kind and our vision was able to come to fruition. To top it all off, on the day of our wedding our guests were supposed to walk a path to our ceremony site but instead of having to walk, Paul ( day-of coordinator) GRACIOUSLY drove each guest to and from the parking lot to our ceremony site. He was absolutely INCREDIBLE and kind. He even gave me some fatherly advice and hugged me before I went to walk down the aisle. My husband and I are so grateful to have found Mountain Lakes Park and to have gotten married in such a gorgeous location. Thank you Mountain Lakes Park!

    Perfect outdoors DIY wedding venue

I wanted an outdoors wedding in nature where I could provide a camping weekend experience for my friends and family. This place was perfect and the wedding turned out exactly how I wanted it. They have a nice dining hall we could have used but I wanted it to be outdoors so I set up tents and a dance floor in a field by the yurts. We had our ceremony by the lake. The yurts were comfy and clean for my guests. The bathhouses were remarkably clean. But keep in mind it’s a kids camp, so the mattresses are not going to be as comfortable as a hotel and the yurts don’t keep the cold out at night so even a 57 degree night felt quite cold. I was able to rent sheets, pillows, and towels through a supplier they recommended, but I had to provide blankets for everyone to stay warm which was a bit more difficult. I brought my own tents, string lights, and dance floor. I was able to use their furniture which saved me a good amount of money. But of course, it’s camp furniture, not fancy stuff. We had some food trucks come in to do food, Victoria’s Pizza Kitchen and PokeMotion. We worked with a local restaurant, Aversano’s, who have a liquor license, so that we could provide a full bar. It was nice to have a bonfire and s’mores at the end of the night. Perfect venue for a DIY, casual, rustic, camp wedding.

My family and friends all commented about how beautiful the venue was and they had fun staying in the yurts. Overall, I felt like it was such a bargain. I don’t know that I would have been able to afford the wedding of my dreams if it weren’t for this place.

Summer Camp Wedding on a Budget!

This place is a hidden gem that is a mere 15 minute train ride from a Metro North train from NYC, has a HUGE hall, amphitheater and YURTS to stay in, and is VERY affordable. Pros: you can make it whatever you'd like. Any vendors, as long as they have insurance are good to go within reason. Cons: It's a lot more work on your end to coordinate all your vendors and make sure everyone gets their insurance paperwork in. It's a county park so there is no Liquor permitted (beer, wine and cider only), and if you are providing that yourself, you've got to get the permit for it. Putting up a large tent in the field would be tricky, but the hall they have is lined with windows and has a ventilation system. They have a cabin and 10 yurts for you and your guests to stay in that is included in the package. These are GREAT! However, they are not heated if you have your wedding in colder months. All in all, excellent BEAUTIFUL venue and the site coordinators Taro and Eileen are just fantastic.

    Community fun in natural setting

Just an hour’s drive from NYC, this park is an oasis of natural beauty nestled in the Westchester countryside. And it was the perfect canvas for planning the camp wedding of our dreams. With miles of hiking trails, rowboats, a sports field, a pavilion, and a yurt village, this venue allowed us to bring family and friends together for a weekend full of recreation and connection. To this day, many of our guests are raving about what a wonderful time they had playing frisbee, rowing on the lake, and gathering around the campfire. Many of our friends stayed in the yurt village, and we stayed onsite at the charming Laurel Cottage (complete with its own private lake and rowboat!). There are also several affordable, nice hotels within 15-20 minutes for guests seeking more privacy and amenities.
In terms of the wedding specific features: there are several lovely spots for outdoor ceremonies. The dining hall is spacious, graceful, and equipped with a full catering kitchen, tables/chairs, and restrooms. The park’s manager and staff were all incredibly kind, gracious, and responsive throughout the entire planning process.
Because we couldn’t find too many reviews online, we were a little apprehensive going in. But Mountain Lakes turned out to be the perfect venue for a couple willing to lovingly craft a community-oriented wedding in a natural setting!

    Beautiful Venue, Great Staff

This venue is stunning and so fun! Though you need to bring in your own vendors and are required to have your own liquor license and insurance for you and your vendors, the staff was very helpful through it all! Our guests loved staying in the rustic cabins and yurts! The amphitheater made a great ceremony site with lots of built in seating and the lake made an amazing backdrop for pictures. The dining hall was a great spot for the reception with plenty of space. It's a beautiful, fun, camp wedding experience!
