  John is an Amazing photographer, you can't go wrong with him. He takes the time to get to know you and is very flexible when it comes to your request. My husband and I are very particular people and he made our wedding photography one of the kind. He is very passionate, knowledgeable, and professional about his work and that is what makes him stand out even more as a photographer. He uploads the images ALL images I should say and send you a link for you to view in a quick way, we didn't have to wait a lot of time for the turn around!!!! Thank YOu John!!!!! E & V

  We loved working with John Salgado of Salgado Images. He helped us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer for any occasion. John is a great person to share your day with and someone you can trust to capture those special moments so you can always look back on them.

  John is great! He is very down to earth and easy to communicate with. His photos are wonderful! Very artsy (at our request). John did a fabulous job of capturing the "necessary" moments and all of the fun ones. We got back over 1000 pictures from our ceremony and reception and all of them do a great job of telling our wedding story! So glad we chose to go with John for our engagement and wedding pictures!!! Very impressed!

  John was fantastic. He made my daughter and her fiancee feel totally comfortable. Took terrific shots, was out of the way, yet got all the action and photos we could ever want. Very quick at responding to any questions we had, very quick at getting photos uploaded so we couldl see and share with friends.

  John Salgado did a wonderful job on our wedding photos. He is professional and consistent and makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera. I hate my picture taken, but he made me look beautiful. The turnaround time for getting our photos back was very quick. I would recommend his services to anyone who wants the confidence in knowing that you will get a remarkable finished productive at a reasonable price and have fun while having your picture taken a thousand times!

  John was extremely affordable and took wonderful photos of our wedding day. We were so excited to have him photograph our wedding after our engagement photos, they were stunning as well. He has great ideas for unique photos and really made it a fun day.

  John photographed our wedding and reception in April 2011. He was a little out of our budget, but seeing all his work we decided to hire him. He does great work and is fun to work with.

  I don't recommend hiring Salgado Images. His communication was horrible and very unprofessional for the most part. Lol's, semi creepy selfies, and you couldn't get a straight answer without tons of hassle.
  
  We hired him to shoot our wedding at Twin Oaks in early July. (amazing venue). We had an engagement shoot with him that went pretty well. Along with breaking the ice, we managed to get a few good shots and the turnaround time for the photos was pretty quick. Things went south after that. About 3 weeks until our wedding it turns out he double booked himself, which I still don't understand since he subscribes to a service for booking and billing. He said he had a replacement for us, but if we didn't want to use the replacement we wouldn't have been able to find someone on such short notice. The replacement photographer did an incredible job.
  
  The wedding video was the last part we needed. After a quick Google search, we discovered the average timeline for weddings in SD was 2-3mo. at most, many delivered within 6 wks of the wedding. After 5mo. and many texts, emails, and calls, I requested all the raw files and a portion of what we paid as a refund for the chunk of work that was’t completed so I could hire an editor to finish the work. I am an Art Director and know how long things take from myself doing the work, as well as hiring freelancers. I was very reasonable, broke the work and editing time down to come up with a refund amount of about 18% of what we paid. It took another 2 wks get the files from him, he was more concerned about having to refund us a couple hundred dollars than getting the files I requested. I had to threaten small claims court to get any response about getting the files. I was always willing to take a hard drive to his office/studio, always communicating with him professionally without getting upset.
  
  With the importance of a wedding and the photos/videos that go with it, no one should have to go through any of this.

  Please please please do not book John Salgado for your wedding. We hired him for our wedding two years ago. I was raised by my grandparents and lost my grandfather the week before our wedding. I explained the situation to John and asked him to focus family pictures on my husband's family and my grandmother. He completed ignored me and now I only have a handful of pictures of my grandmother at my wedding. He hired his son to do our wedding video, and cut out some of the most personal parts of the toasts for the final version. As the cherry on top, he spent the money we paid him and didn't have the money to actually create our wedding album. After fighting with him for over a year to get our album, we found out he planned on order a cheap version (that was definitely not the nice one he showed us at our initial meeting) and hoped we wouldn't notice the difference. Although we celebrated our two year wedding anniversary, we still do not have our wedding album. He seems like a nice guy, and he was recommended by our venue. Maybe he used to be good, and something happened. I don't know, but please fund someone else that you can trust with your special day. I wish we had.
