The best choice you can make for your wedding
Shannon and Andrew were phenomenal from the start. Shannon made sure to connect with us personally, check in to make sure wedding planning was going smoothly (including the cutest care package), and worked with us to make sure we stayed within our budget by allowing us to work outside her preset packages. Day of, Shannon was my right hand woman, helping with my veil, my heels, my bustle. Literally everything. And our pictures were breathtaking, truly. Book Salt and Stone, you won't regret it. -

Shannon and Andrew were both absolutely amazing for our October wedding! They captured all the special moments perfectly, and efficiently organized the family/ wedding party photos so that we could focus on enjoying the day. Shannon was such a calming presence on our wedding day- I wasn’t worried at all because I knew she would take care of everything and they were both so professional throughout the entire process. The pictures came out absolutely stunning- they are truly amazing at what they do! They picked the perfect timing for sunset photos which were so fun to take (especially with the fall leaves)! I can’t wait to see how the heirloom album turns out- I can’t recommend this duo enough!! I will cherish what they’ve created forever. -

I used Shannon & Andrew for our wedding + engagement photography after RAVE reviews (and witnessing it firsthand myself!) at my sister’s wedding. Shannon is more than just a photographer- she is an unofficial honeymoon advisor, wedding vendor aficionado, friend, day-of coordinator…and everything in between! We are not super “posey” people - for our wedding + engagement photos, Shannon (and Andrew!) made it so fun and made us feel SO at ease in front of the camera. She worked with us the month before to help build our wedding timeline to ensure PLENTY of time is allowed for, and there is no rushing around on your day. You can tell she is a true professional and has done this several times/ knows what works best. As far as her photos/our wedding album, we were stunned by the VARIETY of photos (she was eager to do multiple stops during our couple photos and we are SO happy we did- so many DIFFERENT photos to choose from) - as well as the quality of photos!!! Our memories behind taking the photos themselves are ones filled of laughing, and felt like just hangin’ with a few friends too. Finally, I’d like to mention how incredibly organized, and great at leading Shannon is. When it came down to family photos, wedding party photos - she truly knows how to command a crowd and does it in a way that does not make ANYONE stressed out or uncomfortable. Shannon is a true natural at this and I cannot recommend her and Andrew enough!!! (Note - Andrew is her husband who is the BEST as well and made my husband feel as least awkward as possible especially during the groom solo shots lol) - and to add, thank you Andrew for grabbing us drinks + cocktails left and right during the cocktail hour/photo madness LOL. -

Best Decision I Made
Hiring Shannon and her team was one of the top 3 decisions I made for my wedding. She went above and beyond photographer - she helped me plan the day from start to finish!
I planned my Newport wedding from abroad (booked the venue without seeing it, booked vendors without in-person meetings, etc.) Shannon helped me make sure I was making great choices that aligned with my vision. She fit in everything I dreamed of into our timeline - first look photos at the beach, around Newport, at a mansion -- and was so much fun to be around as we hit every spot. During the wedding, I was able to enjoy myself while she still managed to get every shot I requested.
The final results were breathtaking. I couldn't be happier with my photos, and the compliments keep reeling in. Thank you Shannon - I am forever grateful for your help! -

Thank you for not only perfectly capturing our wedding day, but also being the presence I didn't know I needed on that day! It felt like you were meant to be a part of the day, helping to keep us calm and in the best mood, and even re-doing my hair when it was desperately needed! Choosing Shannon as our photographer was the easiest decision we made during wedding planning!
Choosing Shannon as our wedding photographer was by far the easiest decision we made during wedding planning! Shannon is professional, organized and willing to go above and beyond for her clients in any way that she can. I would highly recommend her to friends and family! My husband and I do not like our photos taken and were a bit nervous for our engagement photos. But, as soon as we started taking pictures and she was able to get our crazy dog to sit still for pictures, we were immediately relieved! At our engagement shoot, we were able to get more comfortable in front of the camera and get the nerves out before the wedding! When Shannon and I were building our timeline prior to the wedding, Shannon had asked what we looked forward to the most on our wedding day. And for us, it was to eat, drink, and have fun with family and friends, so she suggested doing a first look. It was THE BEST decision we made. We were able to get the nerves out of the way in a private setting AND avoided having to leave cocktail hour for photos! Shannon and her team executed on the wedding day FLAWLESSLY. They captured every little moment from that day, even a friend who face-timed into our wedding from Australia! The photos came out more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. On the day of, they even packed a thoughtful emergency kit with extra bobby pins, makeup wipes, etc. , so that you could continue looking amazing all day long! We look forward to working with Shannon and her team again for family photos in the future! -

Amanda Sent on 08/08/2018We used Shannon for both our engagement photos and wedding day. We could not be happier with Shannon's work! For our engagement photos, she made sure to get us our photos before she went on a trip (a few days later) because she did not want to worry about them on her trip. She must have worked for hours non-stop to get us those pictures and they were more than we could have asked for! As far as our wedding pictures, we only have a few preview pictures so far but the ones we do have are magazine worthy! We have gotten so many comments on them that we are so excited to see the rest of them!! Shannon and her second shooter Jess were amazing and were willing to leave whatever they were doing during our cocktail hour to come and get some shots of my husband and i hitting golfballs on the driving range :) Something I was very adamant about was having 2 shooters for the wedding and all of Shannon's packages come with a second shooter. Shannon responds to email so quickly and is always willing to lend some advice, even if its not photography related. She is so knowledgable about every aspect of weddings that you are not only getting a photographer but a great resource. I would recommend Shannon and her crew to anyone that asks and may even use her in the future for some family photos! ;) She is worth every penny!! Thank you so much Shannon! You are amazing!

We are so glad that we chose Shannon Matos Photorgraphy for our wedding photographer! From the first day that we met her we loved her vibe! Shannon presents as a professional, but easy going and down to earth, talented photographer- and that’s exactly what we were looking for! On the day of our wedding Shannon, Kristen, and Amanda proved to be so much more than talented photographers! They all made sure that all of the girl’s dresses and hair looked on-point for pictures and even took my bridal bag to our venue for me! They truly listened to what we wanted as our photography style and followed through! On the wedding day we never felt like they were in the way and honestly I forgot that our wedding was even being photographed during our ceremony and first dances! They all worked beautifully with our videographer as well! Shannon shared a handful of pictures with us just days after our wedding and we were blown away! Typically we would wait to see the finished product prior to providing a review- but we just couldn’t wait! Thank you Shannon, Kristen, and Amanda for going above and beyond to make sure that our wedding day was everything that we wanted!
