Saltwater Grille Reviews

My fiance and I had to make some last-minute venue changes for our engagement party and the Saltwater Grille staff made it so easy! The food, alcohol, setting, and staff were amazing. Phenomenal views of the water from the Seawatch Room. Their event manager communicated with me constantly, answered every meticulous question I had, and even though she couldn't be there the night of the party her colleague who was filling in for her was equally amazing. She clearly had been briefed on everything, gave us some extra items we needed, made set up/payment/breakdown simple, and was super nice.

We hosted a rehearsal dinner for our extended families (about 45 people) the night before our wedding at the Saltwater Grille. I am so glad we found Saltwater Grille, as I had been looking and looking for a space in Portland that could accommodate that size group and was having a hard time!

Megan and Julia were great to work with and made everything easy.

The space itself (we rented the Seawatch room) is simple and beautiful and has views of the water and the city of Portland. There’s parking onsite for guests. The food (buffet style) was good, the staff were helpful, and there was a private bar in our room. I think their pricing model is very fair for the area. We would highly recommend them for your party needs in Portland.

We wanted to have our wedding reception at the Saltwater Grille as it's right in our neighborhood and most of our guest were from out of town. The view from the Saltwater Grille is not to be missed! Megan Brady was so wonderful to work with. She made the whole process so easy and simple, providing us on a number of different options so we could decide what would be the best fit for our reception. Additionally, Megan made it easy for us to use the smaller reception room as a back up if our outdoor ceremony was rained out. Luckily the weather was fine and we didn't need to do that but it was such an immense relief to have a back-up option built in like that. Like I said, the view is amazing but the food, the staff, and the full experience were even better. Many of my guests are still raving about the food, especially the gnocchi! The price was great and parking was a breeze, and you have the entire upstairs to yourself. My husband and I loved having our reception at a restaurant because now we can go back regularly to celebrate our wedding. We are beyond happy with our choice to hold our reception at the Saltwater Grille!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Saltwater Grille and it was perfect! The food was amazing and our out of town guests couldn't get over the beautiful view! We had the upstairs room, complete with private bar, and it fit our large group with plenty of space. There was also plenty of food included in the buffet and all the selections were delicious! Depending on the package you chose, you can pick a certain amount of entrees, salad, etc. It was truly a perfect night to kick off our wedding festivities!

Megan and mark were both amazing to work with. The view was amazing, the location is perfect, the food was delicious and the staff was above and beyond. Megan helped me plan everything from the seating chart to setting up the decorations. She helped us walk in as a bridal party and had everything under control. They really helped make our special day the very best.

I worked with the banquet manager, Megan Brady, who with her staff, was responsive, gracious and made us feel like we were the only event she was handling. We used the SWG function room for the wedding as well as the reception which worked extremely well. The food was delicious and our guests commented on how nicely presented the food was and how much they enjoyed the wedding. The party was fun and we all had a good time. I never worried because I knew Megan had it all under control.
