    Gorgeous venue!

Salvage One was an absolutely amazing venue for our 2023 wedding. Colleen is extremely friendly and professional, great at accommodating last minute changes to the best of her ability, and very communicative. If you’re looking for a venue that is a bit untraditional and will give you gorgeous wedding photos, this is it!

    Beautiful venue!

We had our wedding at Salvage One in July 2023 and were so pleased with the venue. We did both our ceremony and reception in the space and our guests could not stop talking about how cool the venue was. Salvage One made it easy for all of our vendors to get loaded in and work in the space. The events team was great and professional. We had a minor issue which they helped us resolve quickly and professionally. Highly recommend Salvage One!

    Best venue!

Salvage One is THE best wedding venue in Chicago. The space is beautiful, roomy, and eclectic. All of the antique furniture and other pieces become your wedding decor, so you don’t have to spend a ton on other decor items. All we added were flowers and candles for the tables and a chuppah, and it was perfect. Colleen and Kelly are amazing, responsive, kind, and professional. It’s also unique to find a venue with both outdoor and indoor space - we did our ceremony in the courtyard and reception inside. Our guests loved the space, the different seating options, and the general vibe of Salvage One.

    Best Venue in Chicago!

Stop looking for another venue- Salvage One is the best. From the moment we had our first tour we fell in love with the store and with the staff. They were such an ease to work with, accomodating us as we continued to evolve the form of our wedding during COVID, and were incredibly helpful. Our guests were blown away by how beautiful and unique the space was. We could not have had a better spot for our wedding!

    Loved every second!

Can’t say enough great things about Salvage One. Colleen, our event coordinator, was so easy to work with and was very responsive to calls and emails. We DIY’d a decent portion of our wedding decor and she was kind enough to let us store our materials in her office the day before - a great help!

The space itself is fantastic - which is a big plus if you don’t want to do a ton of flowers or table arrangements. We wanted to save some money there and that’s so doable at Salvage One, because the chandeliers, furniture and overall building aesthetic give you a built in atmosphere.

I loved being able to have our ceremony downstairs (with the actual church pews!) and then head upstairs for the reception. It was perfect for our Friday evening wedding. Everything all in the same place!

Our guests raved about all of the cool furniture and antiques throughout the space. I loved getting married in a relaxed, fun, unique venue. S.O. is the best!!

    Modern summer wedding

Salvage One was an amazing reception venue for our epic dinner party reception. We were looking for a space that didn’t feel too “wedding” but had an edge to it with outdoor space. Colleen who ran our wedding layout and managed the booking process was easy and seamless to work with. She is extremely responsive, sharp, smart and fun. Our friends and family had such a fun time drinking at the vintage bars, walking around and observing the cool antique items on the first floor and enjoying the expansive courtyard outside. I appreciated the different furniture we were able to use and the vintage pieces like chandeliers that are technically for sale, but are used to complement wedding décor, the sassy disco ball and more. Thank you guys! We now know why you have book so far in advance…you are awesome!

Salvage One is a beautiful venue! Both Erin and Colleen were very helpful. They helped to make the day very special and unique to us. Our guests loved the eclectic décor and items for sale downstairs and then were blown away by the upstairs space. We even want to go back to pick out a piece for ourselves to remember our wedding day by!

We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our May wedding. Colleen, Erin, and the rest of the Salvage One team were amazing to work with and helped to coordinate with all of our vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly leading up to the wedding and the night of. The space is absolutely gorgeous and we got so many compliments from our guests on what a beautiful and unique wedding it was. It really gives a vintage, laid-back, dreamy vibe, and the lighting is fantastic for pictures. The space allows for a ceremony on the first floor, cocktail hour between the first floor and outdoor courtyard (with the iconic Chicago sign), and reception on the second floor, complete with a bar, stage for our live band, dance floor, and disco ball. All furniture is included in the rental cost, and the Salvage One team worked with us to customize the table and lounge layout on the second floor, and arranged the vintage chandeliers for that specific layout. Just a perfect space, would highly recommend.

LOVE Salvage One. This place...there's no real way to describe it. When I went to see it I was skeptical at how it would look for a wedding, thankfully my fiancé loved it and we booked it. It was the most beautiful and interesting spot I've seen for a wedding. There were so many cool spots to take pictures and it gave such an all around unique feeling to the wedding. Countless guests complimented me on how amazing our venue was. I almost wish we had booked it for more than 6 hours because there is just so much to take advantage of there. Besides everything being perfect the day of our wedding, the entire planning process was so easy with them. They are the quickest at responding to email and while there are about 3 different people that may respond to you, they all know what is going on at all times. It was seamless to speak with either Erin, Colleen, or any others on staff. They were accommodating, kind, and gave really great suggestions. I loved working with the staff there and absolutely loved how everything looked in the end. If I could do my wedding over, I would choose this space every time.

We fell in love with Salvage One just steps after walking through the front door, an experience of awe and wonder shared by each of our guests when they arrived which set the tone for the entire evening. It's truly a one-of-a-kind event venue—not only for the unique and eclectic space and furnishings, but also for the unparalleled attention to detail and service in the planning and execution of each event. Erin and Colleen and the entire Salvage One team are EXPERTS (and of course they are—they host multiple weddings every week), and their experience and professionalism (paired with a chill, laidback attitude) made the process low-stress and fun.

The best part about Salvage One is that the space itself becomes the decor. We had so much fun adventuring around the upstairs spaces for photos, and then were able to kick back and relax with our family and bridal party in the massive suite. With just some candles and greenery, the venue was transformed—and was the perfect size for our 150 guest wedding. Everything was so magical and romantic and whimsical and authentic—totally out of a dream! Couldn't imagine a better space, or a better experience. THANK YOU, Salvage One!

BEST. WEDDING. VENUE. EVER. The space is beautiful and is so unique! I knew I wanted Salvage One as my venue and it didn't disappoint when I went to view it. Make sure you book this venue if your day is available - it books up quickly! While they provide a list of caterers you have to choose from, there were a good mix of options and I loved my caterer choice! One of the best things is that they also allow you to "provide your own alcohol," which helped us save a lot of money! They even gave us a recommendation that ended up being cheaper than Binnys. Colleen, the event coordinator, was so helpful and answered the million of questions I had leading up to the day. During our walk through, she was very thorough and made sure she had everything marked down that I requested and she even provided us with some tips! On the day of, everything ran so smoothly and was set up just as I requested! My guests loved the venue and still rave about how amazing it was! If you want a unique, beautiful spot for your wedding, look no further!

We new instantly after visiting Salvage One that this was going to be our venue. It is so uniquely beautiful and so not boring stuff wedding hall. We had so many guests tell us after the wedding that it was just such a fun environment. The outside space was perfect for our cocktail hour and never felt crowded. The upstairs is so big there is so much you can do (or not do) with the space to make it personal to your wedding. We were worried about the acoustics upstairs as we already new we were going to have a band instead of a DJ, but it sounded great! The staff was so fabulous and accommodating and definitely wedding professionals. They were very responsive to all emails and really made our day stress free. You do have to bring in your own catering and alcohol, but they give you list of some fabulous caterers to choose from. I couldn't of imagined having our wedding anywhere else!

My husband and I are not from the Chicagoland area but call this city home. For that reason, it was important for us to have a “unique” wedding unlike something most of our out-of-town friends and relatives have ever seen. We’re also pretty modernist people in our design style – neutral colors, straight lines, that kind of thing. So when we discovered Salvage One it was more out of curiosity but I fell in love (and he liked it too) with this idea about ten feet in the door. It’s beautiful, quirky, and can even be weird. We wanted somewhere that didn’t require a lot of outside décor and Salvage One fits that bill!

We worked with Colleen and Erin along the way and they made it SO easy. Plus they’re just cool people and pretty chill. They were also willing to answer any one-off questions and responses were prompt. Keep in mind that Salvage One does at least one wedding a weekend every wedding season. They know what they’re doing (and yes, they know better than you) and will work with you to ease your concerns. There are also so many vendors in the area (Flowers for Dreams, Jewell Catering, Chicago Vintage Weddings) that you can basically work with a number of vendors in a few city blocks and you’re done. That was a HUGE advantage as we planned this wedding ourselves, with only a “day of” planner coming in about a month prior. On the day-of, easy! I love the the fact that when you sign on with Salvage One that the entire space is for you and your guests. It makes the flow of guests from ceremony (had ours inside) to cocktail hour (courtyard) to reception (upstairs) super simple. Could say a lot more but you should get it by now :)

We love this place. Our guests loved this place. Definitely recommend it!

I really cannot say enough about Salvage One. It was the first place we looked at and we decided within 10 minutes of walking around that it was the place we wanted to book. Their flexibility was amazing - we loved that we could really personalize every part of the wedding. Colleen was a blessing. She had SO much helpful information that at our walkthrough, I pretty much told her and our coordinator to just make any decisions they think are best. Our guests loved exploring during cocktail hour and are still talking about some of the pieces they saw. Thank you so much to the Salvage One team for making our day so perfect.

Can't say anything more about how awesome Salvage One is. For being (i think) the best wedding venue in the city, their prices are very reasonable. Usually for the price at Salvage One, you would get a venue, nothing more. We had our ceremony and reception at Salvage One, so the fact that all props, chairs, tables, etc. were included was awesome. They're experts at weddings too, and everyone in the Chicago industry knows them, so they're very easy to work with.

The most unique and beautiful venue in Chicago! My husband, parents and I fell in love with Salvage One after just one visit. It's like no venue we'd ever seen before which was exactly what we were looking for to entertain our many guests from out of town. Brandy was incredible to work with throughout the planning process and the venue photographed BEAUTIFULLY! If you're looking for something different but very fun, we'd highly recommend Salvage One!

There is nowhere else in the world I would have wanted to get married. Salvage One is beautiful, unique, full of character, and deeply romantic. My husband and I still feel awe-struck when we look back at pictures from our wedding. We visit Salvage One on our anniversary each year just to recapture a bit of the joy we felt on our wedding day.
The staff is attentive, kind, and helpful, and you just really can't beat the atmosphere. We are lucky and grateful to have gotten married there!

I just got married at Salvage One on Saturday, 11/20 and I could not have been happier with our venue! Salvage One was the only venue we actually visited in person. I did a fair amount of research on different venues in Chicago and once I came across Salvage One (I had been there once before), I knew it was at the top of our list. It's located in West Town, very close to where we live. It is a huge loft/warehouse that sells vintage furniture, home goods and other architectural pieces. The space is very warm with exposed brick and hardwood floors and tons of interesting things to look at all around. The price is a bit higher than other venues but they supply all furniture for ceremony/reception for up to 175 so there's no need to rent anything. There is also such a beautiful ambiance that you don't need to spend a lot of money on decor. Once we booked the venue, we worked with Sara throughout the planning stages and she was incredibly nice, professional and helpful. We got so many compliments from our guests about what a great and unique venue we chose, highly recommended!

My husband and I were looking for a ceremony/reception venue that was not your typical banquet hall or hotel ballroom. We wanted something with lots of character, something interesting, something that would be as much of a conversation piece as my beautiful wedding dress (well, maybe not that much;), something that people would never forget...and SALVAGE ONE was it!!!
It's a gallery/warehouse that houses thousands of old architectural pieces that have been salvaged from old homes/mansions and buildings...items from old wooden door frames to stained glass windows, from concrete gargoyle statues to original artwork created by the artists who run Salvage One. It's edgy and creative, fun and unique, and we couldn't have asked for anything better.
The ceremony took place outside and it was beautiful! The cocktail hour was on the first floor, in their main show room--fantastic! The reception was upstairs on the second floor--5,000 sq. ft. of open space, exposed brick, stained glass windows, an awesome stage for the band (or DJ, if you choose), open loft space with exposed pipes above...and it was just perfect! You must take a look! And I am sure you will fall in love too!

I’ve been dreaming about having my wedding at Salvage One for years and it lived up to expectations! Such a unique, special, and beautiful venue and everyone loved how great it was and how different and fun! We loved the indoor ceremony space and the columns make a gorgeous backdrop. The bars are huge and the space and dance floor set up are perfect. They really can accommodate so much. Only complaint is that it was a very hot Mid July day and it was very warm both downstairs and upstairs. The AC was on upstairs and they provided a fan, but could have been cooler since everyone was dancing so much. I’m sure if we spoke up they would have done something but I was too busy with my guests to think about it at the time. Otherwise it was the PERFECT place to have my wedding!!!!!!

We were married here on July 20, 2013. Salvage One was absolutely the perfect venue for our wedding! The majority of our guests came in from out of state and they all raved about what a fun and unique venue we had. As opposed to a venue that has in-house catering, we had to work with an outside vendor for food and rentals for plates, glasses, silverware, etc, but this also gave us more freedom into our menu and what we wanted to serve. Also, we were able to bring in our own alcohol, which saved a lot of money.

Brandy and the rest of the staff were very helpful during the planning process and responded quickly to any questions we had. I highly recommend checking out Salvage One if you are looking for an eclectic venue in Chicago!
