We booked the entire inn for a few days for a New Year's Eve wedding. Leading up to the event, during, and after (when we lost a key and some shoes) the communication and collaboration was exceptional. I can't speak highly enough about the experience that we had working with Matthew and Chef Waneeta. We had great rooms, great space, great breakfasts, great food for the event, great support and people management. Matthew was so flexible with some last minute changes, letting us decorate and use supplies, and hosting the guests. Chef Waneeta not only did our breakfasts and event food, but also was able to provide us some heat and serve lunches and dinners while we were staying. Everything was delicious and everything was fun. We truly can't recommend this venue highly enough. We were shocked at how wonderful everything was and how affordable it was to our budget. We couldn't have been more happy with every aspect! -

This place is everything - and so are the people who work there! Can't thank this team enough for all that they have done for us. The venue is spectacular - very cool interior with tons of space, a spacious backyard with insane views, a fire pit / hang out area, a separate studio space, and a path right down to the Saco river! Matt and Chef Waneeta went out of their way to make our whole weekend special. We had a small, intimate wedding (16 people) and everyone was able to stay comfortably for the weekend. There is definitely plenty of room for larger weddings too! Very close to downtown North Conway as well. You can't go wrong booking here. -

Wonderful experience and perfect wedding weekend!
Absolutely amazing experience working with the Samuel O’Reilly House from start to finish!
The space is beautiful! The view overlooking the Moat Mountains with the Saco River running below was the perfect place for the ceremony. The Inn had enough space for our bridal party to stay with us and was very cozy for everyone to hang out the night before the wedding and morning after. We used the studio as our bar and welcome room and it was the perfect place for both!
We visited the Inn during summer 2019 (wedding October 2020) and knew we found the the place to say "I do" before we even left. Matt was very eager to answer any/all of our questions and gave a great tour of the Inn and studio. We left with a clear answer of availability, price, and next steps. I loved the transparency, as not all venues we toured were this forthcoming.
Not only did we rent the Inn our for 2 nights and hold the ceremony there, but they also catered the food and provided the tents, tables, chairs, linens, ect. When we booked we thought it was convenient that they could provide all of this, but it turned out to be invaluable when we ended up planning during the pandemic.
Speaking of the pandemic, Matt was very helpful and kept us up to date on all the local guidelines so we knew what to expect come October. He, and his staff, were so professional and safe during the the wedding weekend. Our guests were very impressed at how well the staff handled everything and made it feel so "normal" while staying safe!
We came up a few days early and the tent, tables, chairs, ect were already set up so we could see how it would look before the day of. (Very helpful since travel was restricted most of the year so our plans of visiting over the summer to decide spacing, seating, ect never happened.) The day of, everything was set up early too, which allowed our other vendors to move around freely and set themselves up without getting in anyone's way.
Come picture time the staff was GREAT. They helped keep guests away from certain areas so we could get bridal party pictures without the groom or other guests seeing me. They helped keep us on track all day long, but we never felt rushed.
Post ceremony Matt brought us drinks and apps in our room so we could "chill" for a bit before heading back down for dinner and reception. Such a small thing, but we really appreciated it after running around all morning!
Dinner was amazing. Thank you Chef Wan! Our guests all agreed that the food was delicious. I was so impressed that the quality and freshness of the meal for 30 was just as good as it was when we had a tasting for 2.
We kept the dancing going until about 10 and fire until midnight. The lawn was the perfect hangout spot all night!
If I could do it again, I would. Everything about working with the Samuel O’Reilly House was great! From the first tour to waving goodbye as we left the day after the wedding, we felt welcomed and really enjoyed working with everyone. They thought of all the little things and were one step ahead at all times. We are already looking forward to our next trip to the Whites so we can stay at the Inn again. -

From our first tour with Matt and throughout the entire wedding experience, the Samuel O'Reilly House crew were more than welcoming, flexible, extremely responsive and truly cared about making our wedding the event of our lifetime. We wanted a venue that we could do everything onsite and use vendors of our choice. The Samuel O'Reilly House promised a stress free and fun experience and they delivered well beyond our expectations! -

There are no words amazing enough to describe the experience that we had from day one, straight through our wedding day with the guys at The Samuel O’Reilly House. First of all, the house itself is just SO cool. The vibe of the house is so different from any other B&B out there, but you still get the “home away from home” feeling when you stay. We rented the inn for an entire weekend for our wedding and had our bridal party stay at the inn with us. There were 18-20 of us! We went up on Friday morning to start setting up, held our rehearsal dinner on the property that night, our wedding on Saturday afternoon in the backyard with THE MOST AMAZING VIEW, and went home on Sunday. Matthew Spofford, who is the GM and innkeeper, was an absolute godsend. I am a very laid back person which made wedding planning difficult—making decisions was so hard for me! We were also planning a wedding in NH from MA...it was difficult to visit vendors and the venue often. Matthew made planning so incredibly simple. Whenever I needed a vendor recommendation, he had multiple. There were more times than I can count that I emailed matthew at all hours of the day/night with a list of random questions and concerns during the planning process. He ALWAYS responded promptly, answering every one of my crazy questions in detail and realistically. Nothing that I asked him was worrisome to him. I would be nervous about something, and he would respond so calmly with a solution, helpful tip, or reassurance. On the day of our wedding, Matthew was the coordinator of ALL THINGS. He knew where everyone and everything needed to be for the day to go exactly how I wanted it, and I didn’t have to ask him to do a single thing. He just knew. Matthew helped us in one way or another with every single part of our wedding day, and made it unbelievably seamless. I could cry at the thought! He helped with setup, vendor coordination (he was my wedding day point person), decoration, keg/bar setup, food storage, ceremony music, timeline organizer (he kept us right on track during the wedding!), and so much more. After the wedding, our bridal party sat out at the fire pit listening to music, making s’mores and sharing toasts all night long. We had people out at the fire pit until 4am both Friday and Saturday night, with not a single worry. We have a pretty rowdy crew, so that says a lot! I could go on and on about how amazing Matthew, Jason (the owner of the Inn) and their staff were from the beginning to the end. We would do it all again and not change a SINGLE THING. Every guest came up to me after our wedding commenting on how nice, helpful, accommodating, and down to earth Matthew was. He made our wedding an absolute DREAM!! If you are even starting to consider The Samuel O’Reilly House for your wedding day or weekend, stop your search now and BOOK THEM!!!! You will have the most amazing time of your life, with the easiest planning process you could ever imagine. We were so lucky to share our wedding weekend with them, and can’t wait to visit every year for our anniversary!! -

Andrew Sent on 08/29/2018Beautiful views and outstanding staff! Jay, Matt and Willy were super accommodating to us and our family who had come from out of state. There's also a ton of local activities within walking distance, which was great for our families. We're still getting compliments on how fun our wedding was! They helped us work with the caterers and the tent rental companies and just nailed it overall. We had our ceremony on the nearby Cathedral Ledge and they even helped with the logistics. If you want to have a fun, relaxed, beautiful experience the O'Reilly house is the wedding venue you want.
