    I can't say enough about this venue! It is one of the most hidden treasures for weddings and other events in San Diego. Francis Chapel is one of the most beautiful chapels I have ever had the pleasure of stepping foot in. There is a wonderful dressing room for the bride to getting ready in along with your bridesmaid's. We also had the honor of having our reception at the Museum of Man - WOW!!! This was amazing and all of our guests were absolutely blown away. Not only do you get the opportunity to be in an amazing venue, but your guests get the ability to roam around the entire museum during the event. My family and friends were stunned by both venues.

    Teri, the Event Manager, is a delight to work with. She was always very responsive to all of my requests, concerns, and questions. There was never a time that I had to ask her twice.

    There is so much history to share with your guests during your event. This is a place to consider!

    The St. Francis Chapel is gorgeous! They provide a bridal preparation room and parking spaces along with the chapel reservation. And the balcony at the back of the chapel was great for the string quartet! Teri was awesome about letting us look around and getting in to show our vendors the space. The Museum provides staff to man the door which helps guide guests into the chapel as well as keep tourists from coming in. We had a beautiful ceremony in the cozy little chapel and we are so glad we chose this venue for our special day!

    The whole team at the museum of man were awesome. From the first tour we were blown away by our guide and then the chapel. Everything went very smoothly. It was a night we will never forget and we hope our guests won't either.

    Always wanted to get married here when I visited as a kid for our Balboa Park week. I was able to take a tour again before the wedding and right then and their again knew this was the place. No need for extra decorations the Chapel made it alive itself.

    Intimate and beautiful.

    The venue and its location are perfect - you honestly couldn't ask for more. Not only are the architecture and surroundings beautiful, they offer guests an opportunity to explore and take amazing photographs.

    Teri and her team were the epitome of professionalism. They were incredibly accommodating and understanding, and reactive to our needs. It would have been nice to have the option of a weekend rehearsal, but everything was otherwise handled beautifully.

    Thank you Teri and team for making our wedding special and memorable!

    St Francis is a beautiful nondenominational chapel located in the heart of Balboa Park. Inside it looks fairly small but staff claims it can hold up to 100 guests. We probably had close to 80 attend and the place looked packed. Seating is on benches which are not the most comfortable but no one complained. The chapel is a little hard to find at first because it is not part of the main building of the museum but across the street. Parking is also a bit difficult especially on weekends given its tourist location. We highly recommend the chapel to anyone looking for a traditional church style venue.

    It's a small venue but lovely inside. I love the old mission style and historical feel. Most people don't know where it is or even that it exists so make sure to give guests the most specific directions you can.
