  Perfection

  TLDR: Sarah Fischback photography was perfect for our wedding! She worked with us every step of the way, had contingency plans and made our wedding day perfect. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs a photographer on one of the most important days ever! I don’t think you can go wrong hiring Sarah and her crew, they are fantastic!
  
  Why/what we chose: We found Sarah and booked her about a year out from our wedding which was in May 2024. We wanted someone who was local, with a great portfolio, and wasn’t a chain with multiple sites and a huge staff. She was flexible with the contract as we decided what we did and didn’t want and in the end we came up with something that wasn’t exactly preset. We decided for 1 photographer for 8 hours, 1 photographer for 6 hours and 1 videographer for 6 hours with an 8-10 min video of the day, plus a hard drive of all pictures and footage.
  
  Leading up: We made our payments in 3 installments over that year. Sarah sent us a form which laid out preferences for the event and shots we wanted. Also we got a form to discuss the film expectations and choose some music style that we wanted for the video. About 1 month before the wedding we had a phone call with Sarah directly to discuss what the schedule of the day looked like and what sort of shots we wanted and didn’t want. She answered every question we had and took great notes on a spreadsheet that she shared with us. She also told us that she was pregnant and would be due sometime soon after our wedding, but she would have the second photographer stay longer to help out at no charge to us.
  
  The only problem (but it worked out for us): A week before the wedding Sarah texted us that she had gone into labor. This could easily have been one of those stressful last minute wedding issues, but she had an organized, thorough, and thoughtful contingency plan. She had her secondary photographer become the primary, and had another individual as her secondary. She filled them in on the plans of the day and everything was still a go! And Sarah would still do all the editing of our photos. It was a bummer we wouldn’t have Sarah there, but given how everything had gone so far we trusted her and hoped for the best!
  
  Wedding day: The bridal party was met by Sara Fischer (this was our new primary) at a nearby hotel right on time and she got all the getting ready shots we could have asked for! Sean (secondary photographer) arrived with Jose (videographer) and they started to get shots of the venue and groomsmen getting ready. They talked with the groom who showed them all the different angles for the shots that they wanted and made sure they had everything they needed. The ceremony started and they just sort of blended in with the crowd, it was great! We didn’t have a wedding planner for making sure we were on time but the photographers helped keep us on time (not there job but super helpful) and we took them to different places we wanted to get photos at our venue. The reception went really well too! They worked hard and I hope I gave them a break to have some food as the day really got away from me! One of the other great things was I had a film camera and wanted some film photos and Sean took a bunch with it for me and I really appreciated that (I bought the film, developed, and scanned them but Sarah did edit some of them). Sara, Sean, and Jose were absolutely delightful people to have at the wedding and seemed truly happy to be there.
  
  Photo reveal: About 2 weeks after the ceremony we got 8 sneak peaks and gave some feedback on coloring and lighting preferences but they were really amazing! 8 weeks after the ceremony we got our photos! I honestly love every single photo they took! Absolutely no duds, they are so incredible! Our video was 9 minutes long and beautiful! It is amazing how I don’t remember seeing them take most of the photos, maybe we are just photogenic but they all looked absolutely beautiful!
  
  Final thoughts: I cannot recommend Sarah Fischback enough. She did so much for us and made our day very special. I know the photographer is one of the most expensive parts of the wedding, but Sarah far exceeded my expectations and it was well worth it for all of their great work!

  Beautiful Photos!

  Sarah is such a talented photographer! She exceeded our expectations in both our elopement and engagement photos. She is very personable, professional and we received our photos very quickly! She gave us helpful directions but also was open to hearing about what styles/poses we wanted. She created such beautiful pictures and memories for us to cherish for a life time. Thank you Sarah!!

  Redwood Wedding

  Sarah was absolutely incredible to work with. She was able to get almost all the shots that we sent inspiration photos for, and the only one she wasn't able to get was through no fault of her own. She also captured all those little moments and candid shots that you couldn't plan for or request, but that are so special and some of my favorite from the day! She made the day super smooth and easy, was great at directing us so we looked good, and we are in love with our photos!

  Outstanding

  Me and my husband planned to fly from England to San Francisco to elope at City Hall. Being from another country it was very daunting choosing a photographer, but we knew straight away from Sarah’s first email response we wanted her! She provided so much helpful information that really put my nerves at ease. And her photos, WOW! With City Hall being such a busy public place Sarah knew all the right spots and angles to make it look like we had the whole venue to ourselves! Brilliant from start to finish, best decision we made hiring Sarah!

  professional, organized, amazing photos

  We hired Sarah for our engagement and wedding and could not have been happier with our choice. She is super easy to communicate with, organized, and most importantly - the photos turned out amazing. We were first drawn to Sarah's photography style - the photos are bright and natural-looking. We really wanted to do our engagement photos at SF City Hall. Sarah knows all of the good spots and how to catch the light. We were also complete newbies (and awkward), and Sarah taught us how to pose and look natural. She turned around the engagement photos super quickly, even sending a few sneak peaks right away while she worked on editing the photos. On the wedding day, Sarah and her second photographer showed up early to the venue and had warm energy that helped reduce the stress of the day. Handling many combinations of family members for photos and getting a toddler to smile at the right time is no easy task and Sarah handled everything perfectly - she is so good with kids! We have so many wonderful photos (candid and posed) from our wedding day and are so happy we made the right choice with Sarah!

  My husband and I got married in July 2023 and had found Sarah through this website. From the start, Sarah was incredibly responsive and professional and remained so throughout our time working together. We knew we wanted to work with her because not only are her pictures beautiful, she has such a kind and caring personality and made us feel super comfortable just from our first conversation together. Sarah has been very flexible with us and worked with us for all our needs, including being flexible when we had to reschedule our engagement shoot due to the rain. She always made us feel comfortable, recommended poses, and never rushed us throughout the process. She also worked very well with having our large wedding party and families surrounding us all day. We are so happy with how our wedding photos came out! There were so many good shots to choose from, candid and posed ones. They captured all the fun moments from our wedding day.   The best photographer!

  Sarah was an extremely friendly and wonderful professional who made the day fly by so effortlessly! She has such an easy-going and amazing personality that eliminates any stress or anxiety you might have that day so you can just focus on having a good time while she captures those special moments for you. I would highly recommend her for any occasion you need documenting because she will capture them so well it’s like you are reliving the day when you look back.

  Wonderful Photographer

  Sarah is an amazing photographer. I came across her information when researching my wedding venue, and I was immediately drawn to her airy and romantic style. When we met for our consultation, she was so friendly and easy to talk to. She took the time to understand my vision for my wedding photos, and she offered some great suggestions.
  
  On the day of my wedding, Sarah was a dream to work with. She was organized and efficient, and she worked really well with the videographer that I had hired. She also made me feel at ease, even though I was feeling a little nervous.
  
  I am so happy with the photos that Sarah took. They captured the beauty of my wedding day perfectly, and they will be cherished memories for a lifetime. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a talented and experienced photographer.

  Sarah was so amazing to work with for our civil ceremony at SF City Hall. Sarah was very responsive, professional and arrived early for our shoot. Her photos are absolutely stunning and she very quickly turned around a few teasers for us. I’m not very photogenic and usually awkward in front of the camera but Sarah made us feel so comfortable, directing us while still keeping our shots organic. Se had great ideas and vision, listened to our thoughts and captured the moments we wanted to highlight the most. She knew all the best photo spots throughout SF City Hall and made the day go by so much easier. Sarah was very friendly and professional and we couldn’t recommend her enough!

  The BEST photographer you could ask for!

  Sarah was incredibly professional, proactive and responsive. She focused on understanding what photos were most important to us on our wedding day and captured all of these moments and so much more. She is genuine, kind and amazing at what she does!!   Best decision we made!!

  We hired Sarah for our engagement photoshoot as well as for our elopement at SF City Hall, she was absolutely the BEST! We loved her style and how she knew great poses to capture our special moments. Sarah was also open to photo ideas we wanted and always made us feel super comfortable. She was the best decision we made and have booked her for our big wedding coming up in March 2023. HIGHLY recommend!!

  Beautiful memories that will last forever

  Sarah was my absolute savior! In a crazy stressful week full of every problem that could have gone wrong, Sarah was my rock and she truly saved the day and helping me secure a new videographer on top of everything. She was such a gem to work with and directed every moment of the day beautifully. Her attention to detail, extreme focus, and the joy she radiates while shooting a wedding made her the best person to work with. Did I mention how stunning the photos came out?   The PERFECT photographer

  Sarah was the PERFECT photographer for our wedding civil ceremony at SF city hall. We are extremely happy with the photographs - they are absolutely beautiful. We got several compliments on them and these pics are timeless. She knows city hall very well and gave us a lot of fun poses to do. On top of that, she is easy to work worth, professional, and went the extra mile to coordinate our first look/manage our parents/manage strangers getting in the way of our pics. We had a lot of fun and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sarah for anh photo shoot!

  Sarah is a Must Hire!

  Sarah was probably my favorite wedding vendor that we hired! Not only are her photos beautiful, but she almost felt like a day-of coordinator because she was politely directing us and our guests where to go and what to do for the best photos. She arrived on time, communicated clearly, and is just a really kind person in general. The turn around time on the photos was quick and we are happy with the results. Wedding guests were really impressed with her too and a few reached out after the wedding to compliment her presence. I’d definitely hire Sarah again for future photography needs!

  I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding photographer. Sarah initiated prep calls with me prior to our wedding, listened closely to what I was looking for in terms of our wedding photos and was very responsive throughout the planning. What I loved most about Sarah though was that she sought to understand what I expected from her. During our engagement session, she specifically asked if we’re the type of couple who knows what we’re doing or if we need more specific guidance and that really set the stage for how much we needed her to lean in during the photo shoot. By the day of our wedding, I felt that I could trust fully that she’d execute on everything I wanted and she sure did with the photos she took for us! So glad to have had Sarah as our wedding photographer!

  Sarah’s professionalism was the highlight to our wedding!

  It’s been 5 months since our November wedding and my husband and I can’t stop smiling and tearing up at how beautiful our wedding pictures are. Sarah captured all of our special details and special moments the entire day and we can’t thank her enough at how professional and comfortable she made us feel. She was extremely professional and sweet, always knew what to do and had the perfect poses for us, which was great because it did not make anything awkward and instead made things go smoothly and faster. I am a very detailed person and I think I was the biggest bridezilla but Sarah never missed a single moment to capture all the best parts. My favorite part was so naturally catching her going above and beyond on my requests which made for every shot to be extra special. And now, we have over a thousand perfect photos to choose from and cherish forever with our loved ones of our most special day. Thank you Sarah!   When I started wedding planning everyone said the most important thing is who you have around you that day. We can genuinely say that Sarah made our wedding day incredible. She is so much more than an amazing photographer, she is the sweetest and most supportive person you could have documenting that special day.
