My husband and I are so glad we chose Uyen as our wedding and reception coordinator. From our very first call with her, she stood out as very warm, professional, knowledgable, and dedicated to helping us in any way that she could to make our wedding weekend a success.
Uyen really went above and beyond to make herself available as we planned our wedding. We would email her with lots of questions as we interviewed and finalized our vendors, and she was always so responsive and provided really helpful advice and points to think about as we made our decisions.

In a sea filled with shady coordinators in Southern California, I'm so grateful to have found a gem who is Uyen, the sassiest and most amazing coordinator based in Long Beach. Uyen is absolutely amazing! We were planning a wedding from another state and were worried about our limited ability to travel and vet vendors in person. Uyen provided us with such thoughtful and detailed information on vendors and questions to ask – it made the planning process so much easier!
Day of the wedding, none of us (parents included) had to deal with any of the wedding logistics. Uyen gave us a detailed schedule and took care of all the details to keep the event moving perfectly. She made sure we had plenty of time to relax and eat during the day. It sounds silly, but it actually was so amazing to be able to enjoy our own wedding!

Uyen was an absolute joy to work with, from the beginning to end of our wedding planning process. During our initial search for vendors, Uyen referred us to her wide network of local vendors, each of whom delivered similarly professional and excellent services. She is a meticulous and diligent planner, helping us to keep on track throughout the time leading up to our wedding. Any question was never too small or insignificant to ask! Uyen far exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend her over and over again. We had a perfect wedding day. My mom has been singing praises every day since my wedding. Our guests have said it was the best wedding they've ever attended and it was because of Uyen. My husband was also blown away and said it was the best surprise wedding ever!
She is professional, organized, attentive and so fun to work with. She was always available whenever I had a question and provided insightful advice and feedback when I needed it. I know people, when writing their reviews for these kinds of things, tend to seem like they're embellishing their fondness of the services provided. I cannot sing enough praises about Uyen's service, and I mean every word of it.
Uyen was *always* friendly, helpful, communicative... everything you could possibly hope for. She was always available for questions, assistance, and advice. She was excited to work out logistics for our wedding's oddities and personal touches and handled the challenge with aplomb. She saved us five figures from our wedding venue when they attempted to nickel and dime us. As you’ve likely already found out, the minute you are engaged all anyone asks you about is wedding planning. We were fortunately able to simply share what an easy and truly fun time we were having with the planning. This is without question all thanks to Uyen! She is extremely organized. Once a budget was set, she essentially gave us “homework” in a timely fashion. As a teacher, this was perfect for me! “Homework” will be something to the effect of “here are x number of djs, check them out and I’ll set up appointments with them.” When done, we’d be onto the next vendor in the same fashion. We made a last minute request to Sassy for a work event of 50+ people. Not knowing exactly what to expect, our expectations were hopeful but not especially high. But Julie and Rachel did an INCREDIBLE job, far exceeding any expectations we had. Rachel was witty, engaging, and hilarious. Everyone had a great time. Our out-of-town guests said that was one of the most enjoyable company events they had been to. Kudos to Sassy for a job well done, and I would recommend them to anyone. -

Uyen helped us plan our Long Beach wedding from Denver! I was very excited to find someone local who I connected with so well. Uyen has a lot of wedding experience in Southern California, so she is extremely well connected and has lots of great suggestions (if you want them). She was responsive, timely, and professional. Uyen is relaxed, calm, and really good at getting things done. We progressed in our wedding planning mostly on time/meeting deadlines. My husband and I came across Sassy Girl Weddings after a little bit of searching reviews online and we knew we had to have her. After a short meeting over coffee, the deal was sealed. We had over a year until our wedding, but we began planning almost immediately. Uyen made my Santa Monica wedding everything I hoped it would be. I've emceed and DJ'd over 300 weddings in the past ten years and more than half the time, the coordinator either has no clue what they're doing or is so passive that I end of taking over the wedding. Uyen and her staff, including her brother, are experienced and invest a lot of care and passion into their work. They prepare well in advance and pay attention to the details. The wedding I worked with Uyen at Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach was one of the best decorated, well orchestrated, classy, elegant, yet turned into a loud party, weddings I've been a part of.

Our wedding was in July of 2009. Our event is still the talk of town amongst our friends and family. Best coast west coast wedding planner!
We can’t thank Uyen enough for making our wedding day truly magical! My wife and I had a large wedding (330 guests!), with a mix of Persian and Jewish customs, and Uyen’s expertise made everything come together seamlessly. From the very beginning, she helped us navigate through the endless options—photographers, videographers, DJs—she even had us look through 80 photographers and 50 videographers! She provided honest, detailed insights about each vendor, making it so much easier to choose the best ones for our big day.

Where to begin? Uyen and I connected through a local foodies group on Facebook in April 2023 when I noticed she had shared some insights about her clients. We instantly hit it off on our consultation call, and my husband and I had no choice but to hire her. We didn't want to research anybody else. We didn't need to. A day after our call, she reached out to us with a venue and caterer that fell within our budget.
