  I get emotional thinking about how incredibly beautiful our wedding ceremony was! Betsy is such an amazing officiant and gave us the ceremony of our dreams. From our very first conversation with her, it was clear how passionate she is and that she truly cares deeply about every couple she works with. She really took the time to get to know us, our story, and our love for each other and to understand exactly what we had in mind for our ceremony. She wrote the loveliest words for us and delivered them beautifully, and incorporated spiritual and symbolic elements in the most perfect way. We will always remember how wonderful it was, and our family and friends all told us how much they loved Betsy as well! Thank you, Betsy, for making our wedding so special!

  Betsy was an absolute delight to work with on our July 5th wedding. She was highly responsive via email and crafted a ceremony that perfectly captured our vision. On the day of the event, she delivered it beautifully. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant. Our friends were impressed by how thoughtful the ceremony was.   It doesn't get any better than Betsy.

  I can't say enough about Betsy. From start to finish she is not only the utmost professional but she is an absolute delight to work with. Every detail is taken into consideration with care and love to craft a personal unique experience to fit. We are an older couple and this was a second marriage for both of us and had a few requests that were a bit different about our ceremony. She easily accommodated us and helped to make our vision a reality. She set the tone for the whole event that flowed into the rest of the evening. Her words and the way that she lovingly guides the ceremony are exceptional. There were tears and laughter from all attending and I would say that this was the best part of the day. And that is saying a lot because our wedding was PERFECT. I've just watched the video of the ceremony and it was better than I could ever have imagined.

  Above and Beyond

  Betsy was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and flexible. My husband and I wanted a small beach elopement and she was so helpful and supportive through it all. She wrote a very personal and heartfelt service and allowed time for us to perform a sand ceremony and to recite our own written vows. She arrived early to complete paperwork ahead of the ceremony so we wouldn't take any time away from the photographer, then she and her husband even helped us set up our altar table on the beach. They were both a wonderful and comforting presence on what could have been such a stressful day. I feel so lucky to have found Betsy, and I know now that her perfect rating here is so well earned!
  
  P. S. Betsy's husband, Bill, took pictures all throughout our time together as a courtesy and I couldn't be more grateful to him, they turned out beautifully. I'd love to attach some but Wedding Wire isn't cooperating. Just know that you get so much more than you expect by hiring Say "I Do"!

  A vow renewal we both termed as "perfect"

  We kept saying to each other "the day was perfect". Thank you Betsy for making it so! Going into our vow renewal we had only vague ideas. Betsy really gave us wonderful advice on location, timing, restaurant, etc. Everything just felt so comfortable. Her custom written ceremony was so sweet and special! I highly recommend Betsy to also make your special day perfect.

  from the beginning, Betsy felt like a perfect match for my husband, and I she not only took the time to understand what we were looking for, but she also answered every question I had and trust me I had a lot! We are from Pennsylvania so not being a local. We were nervous about finding not only someone to marry us but also other vendors Betsy took the time to give us all of the information and connect us with other vendors that’s we needed! She is beyond kind and she made our wedding day so special. I would recommend her to any bride whether you are local or coming from out of state she is the best! 🩵

We worked together to refine the ceremony that was right for us and what Betsy wrote was truly beautiful and I will keep a copy of the ceremony words forever.   Nothing but Amazing!

  We were looking for help in planning something on Hilton Head a location in which we had never been. Betsy was detailed, patient with all of our numerous questions and plan changes, helped us with options and gave us recommendations. The day of our beach ceremony was above and beyond what I could have imagined she was nothing short of amazing. My family gave Dustin and I so many compliments on her handling of the ceremony, I could not recommend her enough.

  The Perfect Ceremony!

  Finding someone to officiant your wedding is no easy task, especially when you do not have someone in mind that you already know and trust. I found Betsy Peterson through word of mouth (she was referred to me by another local officiant). From the first email response I received from her, I knew I was in good hands. Betsy was not only responsive and extremely professional, she was sweet, warm and took the time to learn about me and my fiance. Our ceremony was tailored to "our story" and truly one of a kind.
  
  I highly recommend Betsy to all brides getting married in the Savannah/Hilton head area!

  A very personal ceremony!

  Betsy was an amazing officiant! She really took the time to get to know us so that she could give us the exact ceremony that we were looking for. Everything was very smooth and we had multiple people come up to us afterward and compliment how lovely she was!   We were very pleased with her guidance and suggestions. She came up with the perfect ceremony for us. While we were both very nervous, her calming demeanor and positive attitude immediately put us at ease. We would highly recommend her to a friend getting married.

She made us feel like we had been longtime friends when reality was that almost 1800 miles separated us geographically. She wrote our wedding script and let us add our personal touches. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone seeking a wedding officiant. Personal service at its best!

  Betsy is absolutely incredible! I was so overwhelmed when looking for an officiant, especially eloping from another state, and her talent and expertise were apparent throughout the planning process and on the day of our ceremony.
  
  After our initial call, all of my questions were answered and she went above and beyond to help me prepare! She was warm-hearted, genuine , and very knowledgeable. She has the most beautiful, calming voice and it really helped put us at peace. She was so easy to work with, so responsive, and so helpful. She even thought to include a moment during the ceremony to remember my grandfather who had passed away recently and it was just so special to me. We really couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

  Wedding Renewal

  Betsy Peterson is such an amazing person; she was flexible and kind-hearted. The renewal vows were perfect for us, they brought a lot of our thoughts and feelings back to the forefront to keep our "fire" burning. I would highly recommend Betsy!

  Best Experience You Will Ever Have

  I feel like it was fate that made me choose Betsy Peterson on Wedding Wire to be our Officiant for our wedding on Hilton Head Island, SC. Betsy helped us customize the service to our specifications. She has the capabilities to write and perform different styles of ceremonies, ie traditional, spiritual etc. Betsy sends a short form to each of you to get to know the bride and the groom so she can have an understanding of the couple. I told Betsy we wanted a spiritual sunrise ceremony and she suggested the Sonesta Beach Resort. I wanted to have breakfast immediately following the service, and Betsy highly recommended their restaurant, which was very convenient.
  Betsy then proceeded to write the first draft. I found two beautiful Native American prayers/blessings that were included in the ceremony. The final copy was beautiful. Betsy did a wonderful job!
  We included in the service a sand ceremony, where I purchased two different colors of sand each representing us (colors in our home ) that are in 2 different vases that are poured together symbolizing the joining of each of us and the third sand vase was from the beach at the Sonesta Resort, where the sunrise service was held., which goes into one vase into a lighthouse display for our living room . This will be a cherished memory that we can see and reflect upon. We live on the water in South West Florida.
  
  Betsy was helpful in guiding us with getting our marriage license, and anything else we needed..she is right there for you!
  
  Per the suggestion of Betsy, I arranged for breakfast for all of us and Betsy and her wonderful husband Bill immediately following the service right there at the Sonesta Beach Resort ( which is beautiful and elegant ) Everything was Perfect!
  
  Betsy is a 20 out of a 10… very personable, informative, and a MUST if you are looking to have an AMAZING wedding! I highly recommend Betsy. It was a wonderful experience for not only us, but our family and friends.
  
  You will not regret having Betsy be the guiding light to the beginning of your lives as husband and wife!

To get to know the couple, she sends 2 forms for each of you to fill out. Betsy can perform different services, ie traditional, spiritual, etc. We wanted a sunrise spiritual ceremony. Betsy made suggestions. I wanted two Native American prayer/blessings included in the ceremony. Betsy wrote the first draft, we edited it , and got the ceremony to exactly how we wanted it!
  
  We included a sand ceremony, where I purchased 3 vases and different color sand ( one for each of us) using colors for our living room, and the third vase was from the sand from the beach at the Sonesta Beach Resort, where the sunrise ceremony was held. We poured the sands all together into one vase representing the blending of our lives with the sand from Hilton Head, where we were married, and this vase will go into a lighthouse decor. We live on the water in Southwest Florida. We will be reminded daily of our wonderful experience of our wedding on July 8, 3023 and think of Betsy and our family and friends!
  
  Betsy suggested the Sonesta Beach Resort, which is beautiful and elegant. I also wanted a place to have breakfast immediately following the service. Betsy stated that the Seacrest restaurant right there coming off the beach was very good. I made a 7 am reservation for family, friends, Betsy, her husband, Bill, to join us immediately following the service! I could not have asked for anything more PERFECT!
  They have a buffet breakfast or you can order off the menu.
  
  Betsy is a delight and made our special day a dream come true! If I had to rate Betsy..I would give her a 20 out of 10!

  Betsy was amazing! She made a huge effort to get to know my husband and I before the big day and want we wanted for our ceremony through multiple questionnaires. She was very easy to get in touch with and to work with. She customized our ceremony to exactly how we wanted it and included stories about my husband and I that made the ceremony very personal to us. She made sure we knew what we were doing with applying for our marriage license and was extremely organized with sending off a copy back to the courthouse and explaining to us what we need to do to obtain copies in the future. She was a wonderful addition to our wedding day and made our ceremony so special. Highly recommend!

  Hiring Betsy to be a part of our intimate destination wedding on Hilton Head Island was by far one of the best decisions! Coming from Michigan we had never visited Hilton Head before & I am SO glad we decided to get married here because it allowed us to meet Betsy & her wonderful husband, Bill!
  
  From the initial phone call, it wasn't even 10 minutes in I put it on mute and looked at my now husband and said "We are booking her, she is amazing!"
  
  The phone call alone gave us so much confidence in getting married in a place we never had gone before! And we knew our ceremony was going to be perfect with Betsy on board.
  
  Betsy not only helps you with what you are paying her for, getting married, obviously! But she is packed with knowledge, recommendations & truly just a wonderful human! She sent us several recommendations, checked in with us leading up to the big day and made this entire process so seamless.
  
  On the wedding day it felt like we were reuniting with a friend we haven't seen for a long time! Never meeting prior or hosting a rehearsal the day before, she was just as she was on the phone.
  
  Sweet, warm, loving & just a wonderful person & energy to be around.
  
  And we cannot forget how incredible her husband Bill was for bringing their personal tripod, helping set it up so we could stream our ceremony for loved ones back home that could not attend.
