Justin was very helpful in talking us through the process and understanding our needs. Although, we had never met in person, Justin shared the perfect vows that embodied exactly how we felt the day of our wedding. He was also so familiar and friendly that it seemed like he knew us for a longer than he had. Our family loved the ceremony and was very impressed with Justin's service. We highly recommend Say I Do Houston. -
User2646124 Sent on 06/13/2016Justin and Jamila both were professional, kind, and accommodating. We received so many compliments during our receiving line about Justin which was so great to hear! They made sure to meet with us before the ceremony to let us know they had arrived and after the ceremony to get pictures. They also worked with us online (which was great with our busy work schedules) to make sure the ceremony would be tailored to our preferences. Thank you so much Justin and Jamila for giving us the fun, sweet, and classy ceremony we were looking for!

User2108467 Sent on 04/25/2015Amazing. There were two repeatable compliments from our wedding guests: my dress and our officiant. From the beginning to the very end of the process, we were very happy with "Say I Do". We got married out of our home town and were so happy to find somebody we could be comfortable with and who was happy to get to know us. We had several video chat meetings with Justin and Jamila during the planning period. They also provided several questionnaires so they could get to know us as individuals, our relationship and our plans for the wedding/marriage. They offered several versions of standard vows to choose from and allowed us to share our own short vows to each other. They composed a beautiful story about us, which they shared during the ceremony, it was beautiful and made everything seem more personal. I was not surprised that our guests were impressed and thought Justin (the officiant) was a friend of ours. We were so happy with our services with them. -

Jamila was very informational had an answer to everything. They were able to accommodate my budget and understood the importance to my union with my high school sweetheart after 6 years. -
User1623036 Sent on 05/18/2014I am really happy with the choice of our wedding officiant. We were looking for an officiant not affiliated with a church and that offered counseling. Say I do Houston met the criteria we were looking for but meeting Justin and Jamilah was much better than our expectations. They are both very professional and comfortable to speak to and the counseling sessions with Justin were a breeze as it felt like we were talking to a friend. It also gave him the opportunity to get to a know us better which helped him personalize our ceremony as if he'd known us for years. Would highly recommend their services.

User2067266 Sent on 03/15/2015I booked Say I Do Houston to perform my March 2015 wedding ceremony. Eight days before the wedding, I learned that Justin would not be able to perform my ceremony due to something that had come up. He assured me that he had another officiant lined up who we would thoroughly enjoy. There were FOUR days of radio silence that followed that admittedly had me very worried. When I did hear from the new pastor, we had a warm phone call and I felt good about using him for our ceremony.
The ceremony went pretty well, minus a few minor hiccups, and my now husband and I along with our families enjoyed meeting him.
The officiant who performed our wedding did a good job, but I cannot say the same about the service I received from Justin and Jamila prior to and after the ceremony. The transition to the new pastor could have been handled a better in terms of communication to me. After I found out Justin was not performing my ceremony, there was no finite time given for when the new pastor would call me, just "soon." A simple text message once or twice a day would have reassured me that I was a priority to them, rather than me having to follow up multiple times. They made no effort to even acknowledge that finding out 8 days before your wedding a complete stranger is going to marry you is pretty stressful.
My contract with them also stated that my marriage license would be mailed to the county clerk the first business day following the wedding. When I called the county clerk's office (which is in the same metropolitan area as the ceremony, so mail should take at most a day or two) 6 business days later, they indicated that they still have not received it. I reached out to Justin and Jamila to confirm the exact date our license was mailed and they flat out refused to provide me one, so I can only assume that they did not mail it in the timeline provided in the contract.
Doing business with them felt like doing business with a used car salesman. -
User2528170 Sent on 02/06/2016We booked "Say I Do Houston" in July of 2015 for our January 2016 wedding. After our first meeting, my husband and I really like their personalities and their immediate responsiveness for seeing our vision for our ceremony. After we put down our deposit, we filled out a questionnaire detailing what we wanted to incorporate at our ceremony and wether or not we wanted to do a few pre-marital counseling sessions, to which we had responded yes. You were supposed to hear from them 4 weeks out. Didn't hear from him. Got closer to the wedding..still not a word from Justin. I had to email him to get our vows and never ended up receiving our counseling sessions because of time constraints. The day before the ceremony, Justin calls and tells us (as is also written in our contract) that he will arrive on the premise no later than 1 hour before the ceremony (which was to start at 5:30) and said he would text us by 4:30 to let us know he was there. At 5:28 I was informed that Justin still hadn't arrived. I called and left a message...no answer. I texted him at 5:33...no response. I called again at 5:37...no answer. At this time, we had our guests and staff searching the venue for him and we had several people offering to become ordained online at the last minute. Justin finally shows up at 5:45 with absolutely no explanation as to why he is late. He confused our parents names and also referred to my grandmother and father as "Mr. & Mrs." when in reality, my mother passed away. AND during the ceremony he informed everyone that he "was having a bad day." I still to this day have not received an explanation or even an apology.
I know everyone has bad days or gets caught in traffic, but at the very least, I would expect some sort of communication out of pure respect. Overall, I feel very disappointed and discouraged by their service. I had a fantastic wedding overall, but it will forever be stained by Justin's lack of respect and professionalism.Say I Do Houston's reply:
