  I cannot say enough about the owner. She gave me advice on what I needed (which was completely different then what I originally thought.) and fixed my problem within five minutes. I thought I needed to have my dress shortened and also thought I needed my top bigger, but the problem was a corset I was wearing underneath (which is what the bridal shop recommend to me). She advised me to not wear it and see how it felt, then fixed the clasp on the top, and it fix exactly how I remembered it. No extras needed.

  Martha was amazing! I bought a dress in PDX and when I came home I realized that I wanted to change a lot of little things.
  My friend told me to call Martha. I made an appointment and she went over my options and gave me some ideas on how to make the my dress look exactly the way I dreamed about. The price was right for the amount of time/alterations.
  My wedding was amazing and all my guests LOVED my dress. Thank you Martha! You rock!

  I wore my mother's dress, and had Scissorbird, Marta, do the alterations. Marta was AMAZING. I had to do several different fittings/alterations and she was so flexible and timely in her work. She even made a run to michael's for me for little things for my dress. The tiny beads on the front of my dress started falling off just a few days before the wedding, and I took it to her, and she had it done right away. She is AMAZING! Highly recommended.

  Marta is a genius and an artist!

  Marta just completed a very challenging project for me. I had a favorite trench-coat that I wanted to line with a button-in fur lining from a different coat. The button-in lining fit awkwardly, so Marta altered it to fit the trench-coat and sewed the lining in so it fit perfectly, still allowing me to button the form-fitting coat with no ugly bunching.   Marta did my alterations and I was very happy with the results. I had to get the dress taken in after the initial alterations and she was super great about it. Once the dress was fit she told me I could bring the dress in again to make sure it fit right be for the wedding and it wouldn't cost any extra. I also had her put in a bustle and it was perfect, It was expensive, but the dress is something you want done right!

  Marta, business owner, charges me twice for an original hem ($55). This was an error due to her social inabilities. She does not want to take the time to simply be friendly with consumers and explain her policies and feea. I assume she is unfriendly due to her lack of emotional control (e.g., she cried on three occasions and uses personal situations to avoid resolving a couple of business issues with me) and also her want to exploit an average consumer. She avoided talking about her policies and fees on three separate occasions because she could not compose herself and I was left in a situation where I had to pay for two hemming services on one pair of skinny jeans ($55!). Smith Marta and her employee, Cynthia, were unprofessional and due to an awkward last visit attempt, where I confronted the awkwardness, Cynthia explained that I was not welcome.

  I bought my Wedding dress from Bella Bridal here in Bend, OR. They recommended I go to scissor bird sewing to get my dress altered.
  I am so disappointed with the results! The lady who works there put pins in place of where she was supposed to tuck the hem to make it even all around the bottom. When I got my dress back, the pins were still in it! The work had not been done to my dress I had paid for! Then at my reception, I could not bustle my dress for the dancing because the bustle BROKE and I was horrified. This business has no right to sew anything, much less any wedding dress. Its just too important to screw up so badly!
