    Great wedding catering service

    I had a great experience with Scorching Brick Catering. Coordination of the event was smooth. Tim Keister was easy to work with and was very responsive and accommodating to all my requests. As usual with a large event, some plans changed mid-day, but the Scorching Brick Catering crew was able to keep the event running smoothly. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Attentive, and Detail Oriented!!

    Incredible

    I could not have asked for a better experience with a Catering company. My guest were so impressed with the food they wanted to take plates to go. Tim was so helpful when it came to all of the details of our wedding and so incredibly patient. He set everything up beautifully and even had a separate menu for the kids that they absolutely loved. If you want a completely stress free Catering experience I would go with Scorching Brick.

    Excellent experience

    Tim catered our wedding flawlessly from setting up a terrific menu meeting our dietary needs to the setup an execution of our event. The food was incredible, all of our guests raved about it.

    Scorching Brick Catering blew us all away!

    Tim at Scorching Brick Catering provided some of the best food, service, and overall experience with catering I've ever had. He made our wedding day a dream with the services he provided. The food was consistent, very, very tasty, and beautiful - at such a great value. Everyone commented on the incredible presentation, service, and the great food. I'd work with Tim again in a heartbeat, and recommend you do the same. He spent hours with me on the phone developing the menu, answering my questions, and I never felt nervous about the experience. He kept my mind at ease - which is difficult to do as a bride! Thank you so much, Scorching Brick!

    Fall Wedding

    We had a wonderful experience with Timothy and Scorching Brick. From the day I requested a quote to the day of the wedding, Timothy was extremely professional and responsive. He was always available to answer any of my questions and he was very thorough in explaining the process and any menu item I inquired about. Hands down, he had an amazing quality of food. All night, our guests kept coming up to us and saying how much they enjoyed the food. We selected a pork and a chicken protein for our wedding and Timothy and his team were able to keep both items perfectly cooked and moist the entire night. Everyone was so impressed on how well cooked the proteins were considering we had a buffet style wedding. The value is also unbeatable. We gave Timothy a number we wanted to stick to per person and he was able to provide us with a wonderful buffet line, that included protein, bread, salads, starches, and vegetables. I would highly recommend Timothy and Scorching Brick for your next catering needs. I definitely would use them again. Thank you Timothy and your team for making our wedding that much more special. The food was great, the bartending service was perfect, and you were set up and prepared for the day, not just on time, but early. Thank you!

    Amazing service!

    Amazing food and service! So glad I went with scorching brick! We personalized our menu just for us and it was perfect!

    Great Service!

    As a wedding photographer, I have PLENTY of boring wedding food. When it came to my own wedding- I wanted a good, filling and comforting meal, not necessarily a theme. Tim was wonderful and thorough from start to finish. We did a tasting which was a fun thing to do during wedding planning. Everyone loved our food! The best thing was the price! Tim, by far, offered everything we wanted for a price well within our budget.

    Fall Wedding

    Scorching Brick Catering catered my fall wedding and it was some of the most incredible food I have ever tasted. My guests are still raving about the food almost a year later. I enjoyed the food so much that my family has ordered holiday meals after my wedding from Scorching Brick. Tim was such a joy to work with and incredibly accommodating with the dietary restrictions and allergies I have. I am glad that I chose them and will be ordering more meals from them in the future.

    Food was ok, Final outcome of event was not satisfactory

    The vendor provided all items requested for the event. However agreement was to have all food placed for the dinner and it got divided into happy hour and dinner, so that the actual dinner only had a few items available. Whether this was a venue issue or cater issue, the setup agreement wS with the caterer. Changes were not discussed with us prior to the event starting, and the cater was unable to put out the additional items for the meal when we found out about it. Due to lack of communication and inability to address and correct issues on-site we would not use this vendor again.

    Congratulations newlyweds! I am so sorry things did not turn out the way that you expected. As you know Covid has changed the way state requirements allow venues and caterers to serve food. We did contract with you to have all of the food placed out at once, but the venue did not allow us to do that and my apologies this was not relayed to you day of. After speaking with the venue coordinator I was then informed they do not not how they operate their venue by having food served all at one time. Since we were only responsible for providing the food and they did the timeline, this is why we had to separate the food into cocktail hour and dinner service being separate. I immediately reached out to the venue in order to try to remedy the situation in the future but please let me know if there's anything I can do to help correct this for you in the meantime. Cheers!

    Bottom line: They did not show up for my wedding.

    I'm glad I've had almost two months since my wedding to cool off before writing this review. I want to be as honest and fair as possible, but I also think Scorching Brick should not be in business. I'm frankly shocked by all the five star reviews on here given my bad experience. When it came to picking a wedding caterer for my September wedding, I had it narrowed down to two, one of whom was very communicative and wonderful to work with, but was slightly more expensive. I went with Scorching Brick for the price, but I had my reservations from the beginning. Another reminder to go with your gut when it comes to wedding vendors. I spoke with Tim multiple times about what we were going for and every time it seemed he forgot details and didn't have them written down or stored in his system. Multiple times over the summer before my wedding, I emailed to ask questions and received minimal, if any response. It got to the point that I sought out opinions on social media a couple of weeks before my event regarding whether anyone else had had this experience with Scorching Brick because I was worried they wouldn't show up to my wedding.

    Apparently that concern was warranted, as I found out after my ceremony (thank god for family who protected me from worrying so I could still have a great day) that everyone who was helping with my wedding was absolutely scrambling because he had not turned up and no one had heard from him. His waitstaff and bartenders were there, but no one could reach Tim, who had all the food and equipment. We never heard a peep from him until noon the day after the wedding. My day-of coordinator essentially became the caterer and was an absolute godsend (go hire Caley Follmer in Fort Collins!), ordering pizza and making sure our guests had something to eat. She also helped to rearrange the schedule of events to hopefully give Tim more time to arrive because she was under the impression he was still going to try to make it. I can’t say I was surprised when I found out he hadn’t shown up, and I still had a great day regardless. His waitstaff was apologetic, but they pretty much holed up in their cars the whole evening rather than trying to come up with a solution or helping to distribute the pizza. Thank goodness I had rented flatware and glasses rather than relying on him.

    As far as we know, his story is that he ran out of gas and his phone died. These “unforeseen circumstances” ruined our wedding and should have resulted in a FULL refund. I don’t know what kind of wedding caterer doesn’t fill up on gas before leaving and drives an unreliable vehicle with an almost-dead phone, but I wouldn’t hire that caterer. He offered us a refund of the food and a private chef experience, which we quickly turned down because we had no interest in dining with the chef who screwed us over. We hoped to receive a full refund, but were met with resistance time and time again and ended up with a refund of the food, although he did pay for the pizza. I’m honestly more upset that all the food that was probably painstakingly prepared for our wedding just went to waste. I was excited to eat it and it was pretty disappointing to look down at lukewarm pizza on my wedding night. I don’t think it would have been out of line for him to pay for our day-of coordinator, given that she became the de facto caterer, but we decided to get some closure rather than going to court.

    It has now been almost two months since the wedding and we JUST received a valid check with the refund. The first time we got a check, it wasn’t signed and therefore couldn’t be deposited. The amount of time and emotions that have been spent thinking about this disaster and stressing over whether we were going to get our money back is ridiculous. I’m a grad student. I do not make very much money. We saved enough to spend $6400 on this caterer and ended up losing $1000 (we got a refund of ~$5400) for absolutely no service. I wish I could give 0 stars. Do not hire them for your event for your own good.

    No call, no show

    We booked this company back in May of 2021. Wedding was 5/28/22. After multiple communication errors on their end, or lack of communication, the company never showed to my wedding. They had terrible reviews after COVID, but I was reassured via phone conversations that they would be there. The day of my wedding, I didn't receive any call, text or email stating that they were unable to attend. Multiple people called and the phone was shut off. Staff to serve food even showed up stating that they were unable to get in contact with them. We paid over $5000.00 to this company to be stood up at a WEDDING RECEPTION. Rest assured we will be getting a full deposit for time, effort and contribution to this fraudulent company. Most embarrassing moment of my life. I will never recommend this company as this isn't the first time they have done this. Every issue we came across with this company, there was always an excuse. Example: they claimed to have switched programs, they lost employees, etc there was excuse after excuse. Bottom line.... They failed us

    No show, Krazy Karl's for the win

    A call fours hours after being expected and a refund doesn't excuse missing a person's wedding. To future brides and grooms in Northern Colorado, find a different caterer. To all Coloradans, Krazy Karl's prepped pizza for 140 guests in under an hour and deserves your business. Scorching Brick does not.

    Mother of the bride is furious

    A no show for the wedding. No explanation. No calls-radio silent. Just a flat out no show after we had paid in full. Irresponsible, ridiculous, lame apologies when we could have solved it if he had communicated at all. Save your money. Find a reliable caterer who will provide a memorable wedding meal. My daughter’s wedding will forever be remembered as the beautiful wedding in a beautiful venue where the caterer never showed up and we had pizza.

    We are deeply sorry for what transpired on this day and hate that our absence caused any issues. There is no excuse, for this to have happened . In a last minute attempt to make it to the venue I sent my gps location to multiple people on site, to no avail. We were still able to provide bartenders and service staff for the event, but unfortunately the most important thing the food never arrived.
    We then spoke with Casey and Adam and issued a full refund for the food, kitchen labor, service fee, gratuity and food that was ordered the night of the wedding. After speaking with them they agreed this would be sufficient to remedy the situation as best as possible. Again we are deeply sorry for causing these circumstance.
