Tyler photographed my proposal while we were visiting NYC and my fiancée and I couldn't be happier with the results. Tyler was excellent at communicating throughout the booking and session and even helped me choose the perfect spot to pop the question. On top of that, his photos from the session are wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to him again for any other engagement/wedding related photography in the future. -

Incredible Proposal Weekend!
I hired Tyler and Scratch Studios to capture my proposal. Needless to say, he was nothing short of amazing!
The weekend threw us for several loops with weather and a last-second location change. Each step of the way, Tyler was incredibly flexible, thoughtful, and communicative. In addition to capturing fantastic photos, Tyler went above and beyond in making the weekend incredibly special for my fiance and me. We are very grateful for Tyler and would recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer to capture a special moment. If we could give him six stars, we would!

Truly can't picture our wedding day without Tyler. He was a JOY to work with, super creative, and had a really good understanding of what would make the best shot, but also wasn't pushy/annoying in pursuit of getting it.
You spend so much of your wedding day with your photographer, you want to like them. We genuinely loved being around him because he was able to 'read the room' in any given scenario. Our photos turned our better than we could imagine. Would be happy to answer any questions about our experience if you're on the fence. Scratch studios is the best! -

Best photographer ever!
I cannot say enough good things about Scratch Studios and Tyler. He is the BEST photographer and person. He was so communicative and detail-oriented with everything leading up to our wedding, and he made the day of go absolutely seamlessly. He was professional, kind, efficient and organized. He was so prepared and got through our extensive photo list SO quickly. He's also so creative and gets the best shots. All of his photos are amazing. Highly highly recommend!! -

High-Quality Photos Delivered Quickly
Scratch Studios / Tyler was an excellent choice! He was very professional, arriving early to help set up a surprise engagement photo shoot. He was extremely kind and helpful and allowed us to have a moment to savor the proposal. Tyler agreed to take photos in in multiple locations near our apartment and delivered the sneak peak photos within hours of the shoot. He delivered dozens of high-quality photos and quickly provided black and white / color versions of our requested images. I would highly recommend Scratch Studios / Tyler for your photography needs.

Amazing Experience
My husband and I did a wedding portrait session with Tyler in Central Park and Top of the Rock. It was a long, gruelling 3 hour session but Tyler was an absolute pleasure throughout. He gave great directions on poses, was incredibly flexible with all the locations and finally came out with a amazing gallery of edited photos within a week of the shoot. We are especially happy with the variety and sheer quantity of edited shots we got back. Tyler is also amazing at capturing cute, candid shots - we couldn't be happier that we chose him to capture our very special moment! -

It's easy to get overwhelmed by the number of photographers in NYC, but you cannot go wrong with Tyler of Scratch Studios!
We were drawn to Tyler's vibrant photos and approach to capture authentic and candid moments. Within a minute of our initial call, Tyler already had us smiling and laughing; we knew he could bring out the best in us in front of a camera. On the call, Tyler answered all of our questions thoroughly and addressed our concerns. It was an easy decision to book Tyler for our wedding.
Tyler was so accommodating with our engagement shoot. He ensured that we could get photos with our dog near our home and made the time so that we were able to relocate and shoot all over Dumbo. We had a lot of fun working with Tyler - he had so much positive energy, hyped us up, and gave great direction while letting us be ourselves.
On our wedding day, Tyler was incredibly professional, efficient, and friendly. The energy he brought was exactly like our engagement shoot, even though the day was much longer. Tyler kept us in great spirits, ensured that we got all of the photos on our shot list, and skillfully directed our family photos of 15-20 individuals.
Tyler was quick to edit and send us previews/return our photos to us. We know that this is a point of pride for Tyler and he truly delivers!
We absolutely love our photos - from the candids to the detail shots to our couples portraits. We cannot wait to get the rest of our wedding photos back; the preview we got already evokes the love, joy, and support we felt on our wedding day. Thank you, Tyler, for beautifully capturing memories that we'll treasure for a lifetime! -

Stunning Proposal Photos
Tyler was phenomenal to work with and we love our photos! Before the proposal, I spoke with him over the phone and told him my vision. He was able to give me advice and ideas to make sure we had less tourists in the background, some privacy, and a stunning view. He was so efficient during the post proposal photoshoot, had great pose ideas for us, got us a preview gallery in a couple hours, and made us feel really comfortable during the shoot. We absolutely love the quality and composition of our photos of this special moment. We will definitely look back at them forever! -

Best Photographer Ever
I attended a wedding that Tyler shot and instantly knew that was our photographer whenever we got married. So you better believe I made sure he was available before I secured my venue! And I am SO SO glad we had him there to capture our special day. Not only are our photos stunning, like actually unbelievably perfect, but Tyler’s demeanor and vibe on our day was perfect as well. He gets the job done but in a way that keeps it fun and stress free. And you better believe when it comes to the dance floor, he is everywhere! Our guests still keep talking about how amazing our photographer was, and we couldn’t agree more. He was super helpful leading up to the day as well, which made it all run smoother as it was happening. I wish we could have another wedding just to have Tyler photograph us again! -
