  Amazing photographer and so much fun to work with!

  We worked with Sequoyah for our engagement shoot. We were hoping to retrace the steps of our first date and ended up doing so much more with her! She made us feel comfortable (which can be hard in the middle of NYC where folks will stop and watch) and provided guidance so we could get the best photos. She was so much fun to work with and our photos came out amazing!

  Amazing photographer - amazing photos!

  Sequoyah was incredible to work with. She made me and my family feel very comfortable. Sequoyah helped guide us through some poses that felt natural which I really appreciated since I was a little nervous having my picture taken. The pictures look amazing, she really captured all emotions and candid moments. This was especially important to me and my partner. I highly recommend working with her.

  Amazing Engagement Photo Shoot

  Sequoyah did a fantastic job with our engagement photo shoot! My fiancé was very nervous about being in front of the camera, but Sequoyah made him and I feel so comfortable. The photos came out perfectly and really captured our intimate moments. And we had a lot of fun in the process. Thank you Sequoyah!

  Amazing work

  Working with Sequoyah was an absolute dream as a bride. She was prompt, professional, and highly personable. She made me incredibly comfortable in front of the camera and gave great direction for poses. 10/10 would recommend!

  Engagement Photo Session

  We loved our engagement session with Sequoyah. We had 2 hours of photo time and managed to fit in an outfit change. Luckily, our location choice also allowed us to have different backdrops that gave us amazing photos to choose from. Sequoyah was engaging and professional; helping us capture some great moments with her directions for posing. I would recommend her services for those looking to have excellent photos and a good time!

  From the moment my FH & I got in contact with Sequoyah, she has been a joy. Everything that could have gone wrong prior to our engagement shoot, went wrong. Sequoyah was so helpful and made us feel better and was so patient with us. I was so embarrassed by our mishaps. She was so professional but yet knew exactly how to make us feel better. I cant even begin to explain how much we appreciate Sequoyah our pictures came out amazing. She is so talented and I am excited to hire her for every event I have!

  Beyond amazing

  Sequoyah Daniel Photography was professional, I felt I was able to talk to her as if I was talking to my girlfriend. She and her staff had great energy, was practically invisible during the wedding and ceremony while capturing every moment perfectly. I would definitely work with Sequoyah Daniel Photography again!

  Easy breezy experience and incredible artistry

  Sequoyah and her team were lovely to work with! We interviewed several photographers and, compared to the others, Sequoyah really put us at ease. She was easygoing, funny, and got a sense of what we were going for (in our case, low-key, not too "gendered," emphasis on candid photos). We liked that she included an album in her package, and that there were some easy add-ons that we could get to suit our needs. Most importantly, the photos are stunning. She captured our most precious moments without it feeling like we were doing stuff "for the camera" (except for the obvious posed shots we asked for!), and put together a portfolio of photos that told the story of our day so beautifully. We're so grateful we chose Sequoyah and her team, and we plan to continue working with her for other photo needs.

  Sequoyah is professioanl, thorough, and a phenomenal talent

  Sequoyah was as phenomenal a photographer as you can ask for — and then some. From the moment we hopped on an introductory call we knew she was special. She asked about what style of photography we liked — we said mostly candid with a few staged — and she immediately locked on to our wave length, spitballing ideas. When we did our site visit to the venue a few months before our wedding date, Sequoyah and her assistant came along, spotting amazing locations that we should consider for our First Look and preparation photos. Our wedding was at The Factoria in Peekskill and we’d intended the first look to take place on the water on our wedding day but hurricane Henri derailed our plans. Sequoyah sprang into action and scouted a really special alternative down in the arcade at the venue. During stages photos she commanded the room, which we really appreciated because of how much of a whirlwind that period is before the ceremony. We didn’t have to think of anything—she had the shot list ready to go and navigated people in and out of frame to keep things moving. In addition to her camera photos, Sequoyah also took photos on her iPhone and sent a bunch to us the next morning, and tagging us in Instagram Stories. We *really* appreciated that part, since all we wanted to do the next day was relive the day/night we’d just had. My wife (!!) and I can’t recommend Sequoyah Daniel Photography enough. Honestly, your search should be over because she’s the real deal.

  Great Photographer and quality work

  Sequoyah Daniel was initially referred to me by a good friend for my engagement shoot. Those photos came out beautifully and within the timeframe promised. So naturally we booked her for our wedding. Pricing was competitive for her quality of work and packaging.
  
  Let me begin by stating that we had to change our wedding date! To which Sequoyah was respectful and very flexible in trying to accommodate.
  
  On the day of the wedding Sequoyah and her team arrived promptly, dressed professionally and followed my and my husbands every move- in a great way. They were there for every moment but not in the way. They captured moments beautifully- my husband being prayed over, intimate last moments with my mother, my friends and I laughing throughout the day, teary eyed sentimental moments, great candids and so much more. When it was time for the posed shots, Sequoyah and her team gave excellent direction while still having us both look natural in final photos. Our wedding day fell on an extremely hot summer day but Sequoyah and team hustled through it to capture every moment with no complaint.
  
  Our wedding ceremony was followed by an informal reception party at another site. Sequoyah arrived before we did to capture us entering the venue and captured all the smiles of our guests as we danced the night away.
  
  The technical specs: the contract was simple to follow; payment reminders were friendly and professional and easy to make on her site; Sequoyah stood ready to answer any questions we had along the way; Sequoyah and team worked very well with all the other vendors including the videographer; Sequoyah and team came with a vision of shots to capture but were very open when we asked for other shots; the photos were uploaded to a BEAUTIFUL website and organized very well. All in all it was a 5 star experience and I recommend her to all my friends and colleagues who ask for references.

  Sequoyah's pictures don't just say a million words; they convey a million feelings. Sequoyah made both our engagement and wedding photo shoots a wonderful experience. She was always early and put the bride and groom at ease during this high stress time! Sequoyah reminded us that this day was about celebrating us and our love and our photos reflect that. Our photos are breathtaking! We just can't get enough of them. What makes Sequoyah’s photography a unique experience is the way that she becomes part of the affair. The photos are for your display, but she moves like a true artist. She creates canvases in her mind and knows how to maneuver her subjects to fit into that vision. As a result, we feel like models for a moment. Then, just when you had fun hearing her harmonize her thoughts as she positioned you, you see the photos and watch yourself look better than you ever thought possible. We wouldn’t simply recommend her. We’d feel sorry if you didn’t get the chance to have her. Don't walk, run to book her!

  Surprise Engagement Photo Shoot

  I booked Sequoyah for a surprise engagement photo shoot. She was punctual and excellent at coordinating. She arrived early, helped set up and took amazing photos. She directed us to several locations and got great shots. I highly recommend her. She works for you!

  Wedding photos

  Sequoyah was recommended to us from our videographer and so glad we went with her team. She is very thorough with the photos she wants and will not let anyone get in the way. She completed both aspects of our wedding--2 day event. She hadn't done an igbo traditional wedding before but we were not worried. We have enjoyed looking through all our photos and will enjoy viewing them for years! Recommend for all your events.

  Perfectly captured our special day!

  Sequoyah was SOOO amazing and exactly the photographer we needed for our wedding! Much like many others last year, our original wedding plans were DRASTICALLY altered because of the pandemic. We wanted to keep our original 9/20/2020 date so we got married over Zoom in our backyard in Brooklyn. Sequoyah (who took every professional health precaution) was so endearing and made everyone feel comfortable. The photos she captured of our wedding were so magical. She got EVERY shot we could’ve wanted from our special day. Even though our wedding was not what we originally planned, it definitely turned out to be even more perfect than we could’ve imagined and Sequoyah expertly captured those images for us.
