I am so happy
Shannon was the absolute best! We did my trial about a month before my wedding, and since I’m not normally a makeup girly, I really didn’t know what I want. Shannon did exactly what I showed her in pictures for the trial, but I ended up deciding I needed a way more natural look. I told her all the tweaks I wanted to make, and on the morning of my wedding, she made me look absolutely PERFECT! It was literally the best and most confident I have ever felt. It was the perfect “still me but elevated” look. She also SLAYED 3 of my bridesmaids looks, they were so thrilled. All of our makeup lasted ALL NIGHT LONG, even the lashes!! Shannon was early, ran ahead of schedule, extremely responsive to any texts or emails, and she is so talented. BOOK WITH HER, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! -

Niki Sent on 09/10/2018Shannon was absolutely amazing! She listened to every single detail (yes I was a crazy detailed bride) I wanted for my Wedding make up! Everything was perfect, during the trial Shannon wrote down every thing we discuss as far as what I wanted or absolutely did not want! Extremely easy to contact, via email or text -- any last minute questions I had she was available the entire time! My wedding make up was perfect thanks to Shannon!!!!!! Brides contact Shannon!!!!!!!!!!

Carly Sent on 12/19/2017Shannon was amazing from start to finish, just as amazing as my makeup looked!!!!! Not only is Shannon, kinda friendly and flexible she is talented beyond words. Somehow she amazingly made me look natural, glamours and beautiful and everything lasted all day and night!!! Shannon, made all the ladies (bridesmaids) in my wedding party look gorgeous as well as my mother and mother in law. And my MIL is not a makeup person, and she loved what Shannon did!!! Especially when she saw how amazing yet natural she looked in the processional wedding pictures! It was absolutely a fabulous and fun time had by all getting ready that morning!!!

Hiring Shannon as my make-up artist is my only wedding regret.
I had a trial with Shannon, she took two seconds to look at a photo of the make up I wanted and went to work. She didn't stop to ask a single question about what I liked about the picture I showed her. After about 30 minutes she showed me my fully finished face, caked in heavy make-up, and the complete opposite of the photo I showed her. She tired gas-lighting me into believing that it looked "exactly" like the photo, that I just didn't realize how "heavy" the make-up was in the photo, and to just "go in different light" and that if I really didn't like it I could pay for another trail.
The week of my wedding she e-mailed me a final bill, I noticed that my deposit had not be taken off and I let her know. She told me my deposit was actually a booking fee and that she just uses those words interchangeably...
The real trouble arrived on my wedding day.
Shannon rushed through every single one of my girls make up, complaining that she had to miss her son's game to be here, she missed portions of my girls faces with foundation, and did not set a single girls face, including my own.
When it came to my make up I showed her a "less heavy" look and asked her to please show me step my step so that I could okay it. She told me that "just not possible" and again rushed through my make-up, when she showed me my face, again I was unhappy and she told me "to just go in different light."
I got up went into the bathroom and cried, I hated my make-up.
I finally got up the courage to ask her to fix it, I explained what I didn't like and she looked at me and rolled her eyes, and just took a brush and smudged around my eye make up. I asked her to just make my eye make-up look like one of my bridesmaids. She laughed in my face and told me "she didn't know what she did." She didn't even try.
I spent the following hour crying in the bathroom trying to fix my make-up.
Bottom line, hire anyone else, someone who cares if you're happy with your make-up and can actually problem solve instead of bullying you into just accepting a look you're unhappy with.

Hello again Breanna,
As I am always one to accept fault and have the ability to hear others opinions, this review is just not accurate and might even go as far as saying fabricated. I met you at your salon for your trial and we had coordinated this to be done before your hair trial that evening. We spoke about the look you wanted and I looked over the photo that you showed me, and applied your makeup in what I believed were similar tones and application to what was in the photo (as stated to you). You said you were not sure what you didn’t like, and as I ALWAYS suggest to my brides, I told you to take a peek in different lighting. The purpose of a trial is for you to get an idea of what you like and what you do not like. You were unable to tell me what you wanted to change or altar with the look, and you couldn’t decide what it was that you weren’t loving. I suggested getting your hair done and seeing everything all together so that maybe with a more formal style to your hair, you would feel better about your makeup. I also told you that if you wanted to schedule another trial (never saying that you would be charged) at another time before your wedding day, I would be more than happy to accommodate that as we had a few weeks until then. I never “gas lit” you into anything. My gosh, how ridiculous for you even to say that? I was willing and able to make you happy and make changes to the initial look you wanted - but could not do so at that time since we were already running into your hair appointment time. You never rescheduled another trial before your wedding day.
The week before your wedding I did confirm our timeline and your amount due wedding day, as I always do, and you had confusion on the retainer/deposit that you had paid. My exact response to you was “I used different verbiage to explain what the cost was for. I apologize if you feel there was any miscommunication and I don’t want this to be any added stress for you the week of your wedding. Subtract that amount from your total + travel fee and we will be all good!”
Wedding day you did tell me that you would like to do a different look and showed me a photo with lighter more neutral shadow on the eyes as opposed to the one we went off of at your trial. I am the one that suggested that I show you a little bit at a time and that it’s easier to add more color and depth then to wipe off, and that I wanted you to be happy. I was there for you and your wedding party - who I worked on at my normal pace. In conversations with you and your girls, I did bring up that my son plays hockey and that I was getting updates about the score - talking about my kiddos and life while getting to know you all is a part of conversation, not a complaint? You did end up bringing a bridesmaid over, and you said that you wanted something more similar to her, which I of course had you sit down, and yes I did smudge and blend your shadow a little more because that is the look that she had and you wanted! I never once rolled my eyes, or laughed or "bullied" or did anything of that nature to you and I think this is what upsets me the most about your comments. That day, you were noticeably stressed and upset with everyone around you from your mom to your bridesmaids to the guys helping you set up the ceremony outside to the maintenance man that had to come in to fix the thermostat in the room. So much so, that your bridesmaids apologized for your behavior repeatedly. I don’t know if there was anything that would’ve made you happy that day even though I tried to give ideas and find out what you wanted even as far as having your bridesmaids (who were happy with their makeup) stand there and give thoughts and opinions. I was there and willing to do whatever you wanted… And would’ve made that happen without a doubt.
That day was the first time I had ever left a wedding feeling as drained and upset as I did. It’s unfortunate that you are now taking the time to write this fabrication out and feel the need to badmouth me as a person... but I do only wish you the best.
