Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel Reviews

The Sheraton Hotel made my wedding beautiful and significantly less stressful!! Marie, the event coordinator, was on top of our preparation meetings, helped me understand what I needed to do, was always available to connect and extremely flexible with last minute changes. She went above and beyond what I had wanted or could have expected! My husband and I felt relieved on our wedding day once we got to the reception, because we knew Marie had it handled. So glad we choose the Sheraton Hotel!

Honestly, I don't know what I would do without Kari and her team at the Sheraton. I called them when we were struggling with our original venue, hoping for a miracle that they would have an opening for our wedding day - and they did! Moving our wedding to the Sheraton was hands-down the best decision we ever made regarding wedding planning, and I only wish we had booked with them from the beginning. First, Kari has made wonderful wedding packages that do not nickel and dime you for every little request. The price you see while planning, is the price you'll pay, including all the tables, chairs, candles, linens, etc. you could dream of! Beyond that, even extra requests we had, like having water stations around the venue for our guests, were provided at no additional cost. Additionally, the venue is BEAUTIFUL, which really makes decorating the space either not necessary, or even easier, since you have a beautiful back-drop to work with. And the food. Oh my goodness, I've never had better "wedding" food. All of guests were so complimentary of the food and the service. Kari and her team answered all of our questions really quickly, and were available for meetings whenever we asked for them. Christian was amazing for the room block! He was able to accommodate all of our guests and all of their requests. Everyone that stayed at the hotel had nothing but good things to say about the venue and how easy it was to just go to bed at the end! We were married outside on the patio, which as BEAUTIFUL and, what was even better, was the Sheraton provides a "weather" back-up plan, if you should need one (luckily, we didn't). Getting married on the patio was beautiful - the landscaping by the Sheraton was wonderful and we didn't even need to add anything to dress it up. They also provide the audio equipment (i.e. microphone) for your ceremony. I could go on, but am running out of characters. If you want a beautiful, stress-free wedding book here!!!

Planning an out of state wedding is always hectic, especially with hurricane evacuations the week prior! That being said, the Sheraton in Novi did a fantastic job helping put together our perfect wedding reception!

Our event planner Kari was very professional, friendly, outgoing, and easy to work with. She was very responsive to emails and calls and worked with us to schedule hotel tours and last minute menu tastings on weekends and on short notice. She answered all of our questions in a timely manner and her organization was key to keeping us on time and on budget for our reception and also stress free on the big day! It was very challenging to plan an out of state wedding but Kari made the planning process as smooth as could be!

Sheratons wedding receptions packages were so organized and detailed it was a no brainier to chose them as our venue. Unlike other venues, all of their per person prices for dinner included the taxes and tips! It was easy to pick the dinner and bar package and the food was amazing! We went with the strolling stations and the spread was more than we could have asked for. There were NO surprise fees when we settled the bill, It was very straight forward and easy to budget.

The hotel rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and clean! The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a hotel block of 40 rooms and had no issues with any of them. The Bridal suite was spacious and just as clean and comfy as the other rooms- oh and it's included in the price of the reception package :)

Our reception was held in the Mackinaw room. It was the perfect size and layout for dinner and dancing for our 70 guests.

Kari and her staff at the Sheraton went above and beyond to make our stay and big night a total success. We could not have asked for a better venue and staff! We highly recommend this venue. You will not be disappointed!

We loved the lighting and the view. The staff was amazingly nice.

My husband and I are so incredibly happy we chose the Sheraton as our wedding reception venue! Both Danielle and Shaina were so helpful, quick to reply to emails, and very detail oriented which made everything much less stressful! The package includes so much compared to other venues where every little thing costs extra. We received compliments upon compliments regarding how beautiful our wedding was and how great the food was as well. Would highly recommend !

Our family received so many compliments about Sheraton Detroit Novi for their friendly, professional and responsive hotel staff, being organized all weekend long. Our wedding weekend definitely would have not been possible without such an amazing wedding coordinator and hotel staff! Thanks again for providing us a special wedding weekend!

We had a great time at the LGTB Bridal Expo yesterday. As a business owner I enjoyed the intimate setting. It allowed me to have more one on one time with my clients. The staff was GREAT!!!!

The Sheraton Novi was amazing. We had a fabulous time at our wedding. We worked with Shaina & Michelle during the planning process. They made everything so easy for us. They were extremly responsive and communicated very well with me all along the way. As a bride you want your vison to be seen and you try your hardest to be detailed. They made it all happen! I didnt have to stress or worry if and how things would get done.

Besides that, the venue is gorgeous. The staff is so friendly, professional and provided our guests with exceptional service. They went above and beyond our expectations to make our wedding spectacular.

My famliy and I received so many compliments on how great the food tasted and how friendly and responsive the servers were. Matt, the catering manager was excellent. He made sure we had everything we needed and we were so thrilled with the service. The food came out on time, was hot and tasted excellent.

Our entire experience was flawless, even when we filled our room block up and needed more to accommodate our guests, the staff rushed to help. They were more than willing to work with us.

I would 110% recommend the Sheraton Novi to everyone getting married or having an event. Allow them to assist you with everything. They have the space, the hotel rooms and a fabulous staff to help make an event memorable.

We are so happy that we decided to go with the Novi Sheraton Hotel. They really took the time to address all the details that were important to us. They helped make our wedding everything we wanted and more.

Shaina bent over backwards to make everything perfect for our wedding. The food and drinks were delicious! We had so many complements. Everyone was so friendly. They even got us bagels and lox for our morning brunch, and sushi for our cocktail hour, both which, were not on the menu. I've been to a lot of weddings, and the Sheraton Novi has the best banquet food BY FAR!! Book your wedding here!!!

Kari is amazing!! The entire sales and catering staff were such a pleasure to work with. From the beginning to the end, Kari was super helpful and always kept an eye out for the details! She and the entire team at the Sheraton helped ensure that every little thing was brought to life exactly as envisioned and it made our sangeet and reception absolutely perfect. For an Indian wedding, they accommodated all of our traditions, our very large guest count and associated room block, and provided extra space and staff for a hospitality room - all of which were well received by us and our guests!

My new husband and I were married here less than 2 weeks ago and it was phenomenal. We had both our ceremony and reception here. Danielle was the woman we worked with from the day we toured the venue to the day of our wedding and she was great! You can tell that she and this hotel are very busy but she was still more than capable of handling everything to make it a beautiful day. I had even heard that she brought in her own weed-wacker to trim down the lawn for our ceremony because the hotel couldn't locate their own. There were a couple of minute details that were lost in the shuffle but I'd really be nit picking to even discuss them. Danielle and the whole staff really went above and beyond in coordinating, set up, planning, friendly service, etc. and truly made our day amazing. Every guest was gushing about how beautiful the wedding was, how great the food was, how amazing the service was... I should also mention that everyone at the front desk I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful as was the woman who I believe was in charge of the banquets. I wish I were better at remembering names but the woman who I believe is one of the main servers in the restaurant was incredible (she was getting married the weekend after our wedding too). And every single person noticed how perfect our bartender was! She remembered everyone's drinks and I had heard she even came back early from her break because "she liked us so much." It just couldn't have been more perfect for us and I would highly recommend the Sheraton to anyone.

We held both our ceremony and our reception at the Sheraton Detroit Novi, and everything worked out great! We originally chose them because they were big enough to hold both events in different sections of the ballroom, and they were extremely flexible and willing to work with us. We ended up having around 170 guests, and the space was a great fit - not too tight, but didn't feel empty either. Danielle (the event coordinator) was fantastic to work with - very responsive, and always willing to help. She was there for us throughout the wedding day, and almost served as a day-of-coordinator for us, which was fantastic! She even coordinated the rentals for us, so we didn't have to figure out who to contact for pipe and drape and other such things. The food at the reception was great, and we got a lot of compliments from our guests. My only complaint was that there was another event (an anniversary party) going on down the hall from ours, and we had a few party crashers. Not the Sheraton's fault, just know that you might not be the only event going on. Overall I was so glad we held everything in one location - it made everything very easy for us logistically, and guests really appreciated it too - especially those who stayed in our hotel block!

It is a great place to have a wedding. They give you a bridal suite and a hospitality room and the staff are very professional

The Sheraton was able to host our wedding after the Embassy Suites cancelled on us, 5 weeks prior to our event. It was a bit chaotic, but worked.

Melissa at the Sheraton was excellent to work with. She always made sure things were exacatly as we wanted! She has a great attitude and makes her brides 100% happy. With her anything was possible and she made it happen!

The food was cooked to perfection and all the guest told us this both during and after the reception. This was huge to us especially since you spend so much of your budget on the reception.

Her team had the room looking spectacular and guests were jokingly calling us "Hollywood", because of the classy upscale look they achieved. I could not have asked for more from her team.

The front desk was a bit of an issue (hence the professionalism score), with our guest baskets they had problems getting them to the correct people, but in the end Melissa made up for it!

We found the Sheraton Novi to be an excellent place to hold a wedding. In terms of location it is accessible to all the major freeways in suburban Detroit. The ballroom was beautifully decorated and the food was wonderful

The food and rooms were wonderful. They provided a soup for our reception that wasn't originally part of their menu. When they made a mistake in the booking for that evening they made it up to us by providing a premium bump up in the food as well as to the rooms I was provided with for 2 nights. They also added to the thanksgiving meal that we had booked for our out of town guests.

At a wedding we paid over 10,000 for, I would expect certain things, such as the wait staff to wear black slacks, instead they wore black jeans. or services we paid for to be done, we had cupcakes at our wedding, we paid for the cupcakes to be delivered to each person (just like cake would be) after we got done toasting the wait staff announced anyone wanting a cupcake could come up and get one. At the tasting with my parents and myself, my fiance and his parents, Danielle our event coordinator wanted to bring up on how much money my mother (bride's mother) still owed in front of everyone. I am sorry such a move is very unclassy in my book.
*On a liter note, every one at the hotel was very pleasant, the bartenders were very attentive to our guests and everything we discussed with the hotel was set up as planed.
