  Great Venue

  We loved Sherwood Gardens for our wedding. Having the house and carriage house to get ready in and stay for two nights was perfect. Had our rehearsal dinner there on Friday night. I loved using the room with all of the windows for hair/makeup. We had about 95 guests and it was a bit crammed in the barn during the reception. We hoped to utilize the outside area more but it was too cold that night (October 7th). I wish we would have had more room for the dance floor but it wasn’t a big issue. I also wish I would have been made aware earlier where the dj would have to be set up (we weren’t told until check in on Friday) because we had to rearrange our intended layout last minute which messed up guest table placement and our seating chart. Overall, I highly recommend this venue!

  Beautiful venue for rehearsal, reception and guests

  The rental is for a full weekend and came with the barn and grounds for the ceremony and reception, manor house with 6 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 sun rooms, living room, dining room, and full kitchen, plus we paid extra for the carriage house across the street that we (the bride and groom) could retreat to. Absolutely worth the value of the rental and Kathy was fantastic and responsive. It was so nice to have our wedding party stay on site for the entire weekend.

  Wonderful Wedding Venue

  This venue was absolutely perfect for our wedding day! We rented the venue for the entire weekend including the carriage house across the street. It was so nice to be able to have plenty of time before the wedding to set up and a day after to take it all down. We were able to have our entire wedding party and significant others stay in the house which made for a fun weekend with friends instead of just one day. The grounds are beautiful and have a variety of spots to take pictures. Myself and the bridesmaids got ready in the house and the guys across the street in the carriage house, which made it easy to gather everyone on site yet keeping us separate until the ceremony. Kathy was wonderful to work with. She was very accommodating, responsive, and flexible in meeting our needs. We did the ceremony outside (with an inside option in case of rain) and the reception in the barn. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great wedding venue in Southwest Michigan!! It was wonderful.

  Perfect Wedding Weekend Venue

  I’m convinced Sherwood Gardens is the best kept wedding venue secret is SW Michigan. It was the perfect venue for our perfect wedding weekend! The option to book the place for the entire weekend is what makes it so special. We were able to set-up the day before and clean-up the day after. We held our rehearsal dinner the night before on the patio and it worked out perfect - especially with covid limiting other options. My bridesmaids and I stayed the night in the house and we got ready there the next day. Kathy was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. We really can’t say enough great things about Sherwood Gardens!

  This venue was amazing

  I am so glad I found Sherwood gardens for my wedding. This place is gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for. The owner was very Friendly and accommodating. She was very quick to respond with any questions I had. There is a gorgeous house on this property that you can choose to stay in as well, which made my wedding weekend even more amazing and a little less stressful. We loved Sherwood gardens.

  We are so grateful to have found Sherwood Gardens! When our original venue in Allegan closed unexpectedly, we stumbled across this venue as a last minute alternative. Kathy, one of the owners was so fabulous to work with. She was kind and easy to work with. The venue is a gorgeous 1903 farmhouse with four acres of gorgeous flower beds, fruit trees and a big, old barn that's perfect for serving a buffet of food. We were able to host our wedding and reception outdoors and the farmhouse is compete with five bedrooms which accommodated our out-of-town guests. My husband and I also stayed at the carriage house across the street on our wedding night.
  
  Kathy allowed us to have a tent, chairs, our own caterer, alcohol and port-o-johns. It was so nice to be able to find a vendor that allowed us to use our own caterers! It saved us a lot of money. I definitely recommend checking this place out. It was so convenient, comfortable, and gorgeous! We were able to use the place from Friday to set up for our Saturday wedding then clean up by noon on Sunday. She also offers one day agreements, but for the price and ease, it was nice to have time to relax and set up and take down rentals and decorations.
