We hired Shukan to do our mandap decor for our Hindu ceremony after seeing them blow everyone away with the service and decor from my cousin’s wedding. Prakash and his team are not only thorough, but genuinely caring about their clients. We have had zero complaints and my sister even plans to hire them for her wedding. They have so much to offer and are super professional in every way. I had a vision down to the color scheme and flowers and they did it for us. Thank you Shukan Events for making my dreams come true! -

Phenomenal and outstanding work
Prakash and his team went above and beyond for my wedding events. We booked with him for our Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception. The responsiveness, generosity and care we received from Prakash and his team was phenomenal! I had to postpone my wedding for 1 year due to
covid and Prakash was incredibly easy to work with and very understanding. I also had a specific vision in mind for my wedding ceremony decor which Prakash had been transparent and told me that with covid it might be difficult to create all the custom decor I wanted, which of course I understood completely. Even with covid, Prakash delivered my vision and was able to create ALL the custom decor I wanted. He worked harder than any other vendor I have worked with and truly listened to what was important to me. I was in complete and utter shock to see the gorgeous decor Prakash and his team put together for my events. I wanted a custom made raised aisle which Prakash went out of his way to design the aisle and find a vendor who can build it under his direction in a short period of time. He was able to get the custom made aisle built for me and I was honestly the happiest bride ever! When I say him and his team went above and beyond for my events, that does not even begin to explain how hard Prakash and his team worked to make all my wedding decor dreams come true. Not only that but Prakash actually takes the time to keep in touch with us after our wedding and he even sent us a generous Christmas/Diwali gift in the mail which just reflects on how truly amazing Prakash is! I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding decor vendor for my events. I 100% recommend Shukan to everyone who needs a decor vendor for their events. Prakash and his team are so easy to talk to, they listen to your vision, they are incredibly understanding and punctual, highly organized, and put in more time and effort into making their clients happy more than any vendor I know. If I could give them more than 5 stars on this review I would. Words will never be enough to express how truly happy and grateful I am to have had the honor and pleasure of working with such an outstanding team. Prakash we will always recommend Shukan to everyone we know and you and your team will always be appreciated when we think back and look at photos of our wedding events decorations. We thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for truly making our events so special and beautiful for us. -

My wife and I used Shukan for the decor at our wedding. Prakash was very easy to work with and was very helpful in the planning stages for our wedding. They have a lot of options to choose from and where helpful in determining what was the most feasible when it comes to what we wanted for our cenuand budget. When comes to the wedding events they were punctual and set everything up perfectly. We have been recommending Shukan to everyone we know. -

Prakash and the rest of the crew at Shukan events are true professionals and treat you like part of the family. My wife and I used their services recently for our Indian Wedding and we could not have been happier with our decision. Prakash is a skilled decorator. His office setup is perfect for working with clients. He uses a large computer screen and pulls files from all his previous work to compile a custom folder of ideas to meet your decoration vision. Prakash will take your budget and give you suggestions to stay within that budget. He's very patient. Prakash met with my wife and I multiple times over our wedding planning process to refine our decoration concept. The finished product from Shukan events looked even better than we could imagine. We had a three-frame window concept for our reception table seating display. Prakash offered to help mount and hang the frames as part of their decoration setup, it looked absolutely amazing. My wife and I were thrilled with the work by Shukan Events, and we would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for event decorations. Thanks guys! -

Kevin Sent on 06/16/2017We hired Prakash and Shukan for our Hindu ceremony and reception in Brookfield, IL. We met several times to discuss our vision and style, and felt like Prakash understood what we wanted so much more than other Mandap and decor vendors we met with.
Leading up to the wedding, he was prompt in communication and answered any questions we could think of. We were able to send pictures of arrangements, bouquets, Mandap styles, centerpieces and other decor we liked. He tried to incorporate these into our overall decor plan and also made great recommendations on what goes together and what might not look so great. We thought this is what set him apart from some of the other vendors we met with who would do whatever we say, but not offer any stylistic input. He truly has an eye for design and decor.
On the day of, we were left speechless by how beautiful our Mandap and ceremony room came together. We had no complaints and he even added a few surprise touches that helped pull everything together. We really wanted a simply elegant look, rather than the more common blingy over-the-top look found and some Indian weddings. He understood and executed our vision perfectly.
For the reception, we went with a toned-down peacock theme. He helped pick and suggest centerpieces that tied into the theme. He worked very hard to find the perfect backdrop for our unique location and rushed to build something new when nothing he currently had seemed to mesh perfectly. The room looked beautiful and elegant.
Our location was unique and not the usual banquet or conference center. They had no experience with Indian weddings. Prakash was very patient and willing to educate the venue on the basics of an Indian wedding when it comes to decor needs. He also went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly by an inexperienced venue staff.
We received so many compliments on the whole day's decor. Everyone was amazed by how perfectly everything looked.
