  Can do it all!

  Ellen and Nicole partnered with us to create the wedding of our dreams in a less straightforward venue (New York Public Library, a historical landmark open to the public). My husband and I developed quite strong opinions on wedding details, logistics, etc., and Ellen also helped buffer us with all our necessary vendors. Her team was critical, truly instrumental in seamlessly orchestrating and executing a wedding/wedding venue more complex than your average NYC venue. There is nothing they can’t handle.

  Ellen is an amazing wedding planner for a busy bride!

  Ellen was an incredible wedding planner. I speak particularly for the busy wives where decisions need help to be made and were you can trust someone do the right thing. Ellen adapted to all my quirks and family quirks to create a truly special atmosphere. On the day of the event, she kept things incredibly organized as we had tons of speeches and performances, it was all perfectly spaced out so that everyone was having fun or being engaged at all times. Ellen also did one particularly amazing move for the bride and groom which I will keep secret - but just sharing that she is truly ride or die and someone you can rely on!

  The level of service provided by Ellen and her team exceeded our expectations. From pre wedding planning to the day of, they put parents, siblings and most importantly my wife at ease.   The best planner in NYC

  Ellen, Nicole and team were so amazing and went beyond our expectations! I hired them a couple months before our wedding for partial planning to help bring everything together. They were there and had a solution for every issue that popped up and kept me sane throughout the last of the planning process. I interviewed so many planners but once I spoke to Ellen it just clicked.. she knows all the ins and outs and will make you laugh through it all! Not only did Ellen become my planner she became a friend and made everything go so smooth. We could not have done it without them and they made our wedding so special with all of their one of a kind touches. We are forever grateful for the sidekick team!!

  NYPL Spring Weddibf

  We hired Ellen to do our wedding at the NYPL. We’re a mixed ethnicity couple with big families including lots of grandparents so there was delicate planning involved- and Ellen handles all of it! I can honestly say I had no stress the day of and it was truly the most spectacular weekend of our lives. Ellen is the best!

We had managed to book all the main vendors when we hired Ellen, but had no idea how to deal with all the final details and planning for the wedding. Ellen and her team were perfect for the job. Not only are they incredibly professional and responsive, but also SO fun to work with. Ellen had fantastic ideas to pull the little details together for the wedding, and executed everything seamlessly. She also knew exactly how to relieve stress from me and my mom! Ellen also takes the time to really get to know you and make sure your wedding reflects your style and keeps everyone happy. Finally, she knows everyone in the business so she works well with all of the vendors. It was truly a wonderful experience working with SideKick Events, I would highly recommend them to anyone!

  Gross negligence - do not recommend

  Hiring Ellen and her team was the worst decision for my wedding - I was referred to them by my venue and trusted they would be reliable for the day of logistics. They were unresponsive leading into my wedding a month out and required me telling the venue that no one was in touch with me
  To which they said they were “so busy”… no bride should feel like she is not a priority but then on the actual day when her staff completely overlooked any detail that they should have been responsible for including not having my ceremony logistics Correct showed their incompetence and lack of care for their clients. Or when my photos are being taken and the photo assistant is Carrying bc my flowers bc my “sidekick” was no where to be found. They are grossly negligent and they made me feel lesser than and undeserving almost like I was out of my league for my wedding. Her side comments about my budget were some of the most hurtful aspects but to watch their lack of attention to me on my wedding day and have other people as witness , I caution anyone considering this business to proceed with care.
