Joie was so easy to work with, and we went with her because her portfolio is beautiful. Fortunately, she stuck with us during the pandemic and multiple date changes. We still have not seen all our photos, but the ones we have seen are gorgous. My fiance does not like posing for photos, so she worked quickly to get our posed shots and for the rest of the night she captured candid shots. Joie is very friendly, fun, professional, and has some flashy dance moves. She made a point to know who everyone is, what shots we wanted with our group, and had some ideas that we never would have thought of. I Highly recommend Joie for your event and hope to work with her in the future. -

Like many couples in 2020, my husband and I embraced the intimate backyard wedding to begin our newlywed lives together. With deposits made and a new date in place for our anniversary celebration (after postponing many times), it was a true relief knowing Joie was on our vendor team. Joie was a consistent, dependable, & available vendor we knew would take care of us leading up to & on our special day. Her eye for capturing the sweetest moments, special details & long lasting memories is truly a gift to be treasured forever! Joie managed our timeline perfectly, ensuring everything we envisioned for our day was captured by her & experienced by us. We could not be more thrilled with the stunning images from our anniversary celebration! The love, joy & excitement of everyone attending was captured beautifully in every photo. Thank you, Joie, for your kindness, flexibility, & hard work! You truly made us feel as special on our anniversary as if it was our actual wedding day. -

Joie is just that---a joy to work with!! She is very professional, and super responsive. She answers all of my dumb questions, and very quickly. A photographer who really cares about your vision
We had a small private elopement at Muir Beach this summer that turned into a small wedding because we had some family members who 'had' to be there and Joie was so accommodating! I had multiple calls with Joie before the day to discuss the layout of the day and discuss photo ideas with her and she didn't miss a thing because she knew what was important to us! I'm so happy that Joie worked with us to create the fun poses and candids we wanted. Also, we appreciate her stepping back when we shared our private vows but were amazed at the imagery that she was still able to capture for us with her zoom lens. We love our photos so much and have several printed and are hanging in our home now. We highly recommend Joie to any couple looking for a caring photographer with your vision in mind! -

Joie seriously took some of the best photos I have of me ever! I’m obsessed with our getting ready images that I almost opted out of because we’re just not photo people! Because we had the time, Joie recommended stepping in at the tail end of getting ready and captured the ladies and I being silly, them helping me with my hair, and us sharing some beautiful intimate conversations! I never thought these images would mean so much but I love looking back at them now because they really captured some wonderful emotional moments that I would have forgotten!
Because we were planning a destination wedding in Sonoma, it was so refreshing to know that Joie could help recommend photo locations and vendors we still needed! Joie worked with us to make sure our timeline was perfect and even suggested some things I overlooked.
I loved how she recommended that we had a private first look because we were able to just embrace each other and enjoy the moment without distractions. We love to dance so it also allowed us to just be us in front of the camera. Joie was able to capture our personalities so perfectly! We were so lucky we found her and couldn’t have asked for anything more in a wedding photographer! -

Amazing photos and experience with Joie!
The photos came out truly gorgeous. Joie took photos for our engagement photos, ceremony, and reception - which were all on separate days. Joie has a directive style, which my partner and I really needed. It felt awkward posing at first, but she gave us confidence and made it fun. We TOTALLY understood why those poses were so important because she was able to help us recreate special, intimate moments on camera. She's able to uniquely capture details, color, and light. She could do posed as well as candid photos. She was reasonable priced and was flexible to work with our limited budget. Highly recommend! -

Joie was amazing and we were so lucky to have her. She took both our engagement and wedding day photos. Joie made us feel comfortable during every step of the process (especially with a camera shy husband) and she was so easy to work with! She was very patient and professional in how she approached everything with great attention to detail. We are so happy with how the photos turned out and are (still) obsessed with all the memories she captured, even the engagement photos from almost 2 years ago. Joie was so great to work with. She was very reliable & exceeded our expectations!! Engagement photos were included with my package, all with outbreaking my budget. Our wedding & engagement photos turned out beautiful! -

She was reasonably priced, the consummate professional and very flexible with our crazy schedule. She responded quickly, was open to any and all ideas and had several amazing ones of her own. I would recommend Joie to anyone. Her editing skills are on point, and she kept in touch with us through the process so we didn't get antsy waiting for our photos. She has an incredible eye for detail. I would hire her again and again!

She really puts a lot of time, love and care into her photography craft. She takes awesome angles and has a great eye for the perfect shot. She will take the time to edit and put a lot of detail into pictures. We loved our pictures!! Thank you so much!!! -
Nikki Sent on 11/06/2017Simply perfect! After searching for so long for a photographer, we were blessed to have found Joie. Yosemite is very scenic and she scouted out the perfect locations for us. There were no shots that were left out. EVERY photo is beautiful, the hard part is choosing which ones to print.
