Julie and her team are truly the best, they did an amazing job with my wedding. She took my vision and went far beyond my expectations. When I first met her, I knew within first two minutes that wedding planning is not just her job, but her passion. She is pleasant, professional, responsive, honest and most of all elegant. If you want have an elegant wedding, definitely utilize Simply Elegant. You will NOT be disappointment. I would recommend Julie 110% ! .. one tip to remember, she is busy so make sure you book her right away :) .. thank you Julie for your attention to details, and the beautiful work you did!! Words cannot describe how wonderful Julie Hurt and her team are. I hired Julie for wedding decor/design as well as planning services and it was worth every penny. She is very knowledgeable on the Arizona wedding industry and provided me with wonderful sources for vendors or advice on budget savers. She also gives an honest perspective on vendors she has worked with and looks out for you when meeting with them.
Julie is easy to get along with and honestly feels like family after working with her. Even my husband, who is extremely shy, opened up right away with her. I could email or text her whenever I needed and she responded quickly. She is pretty high in demand and did her best to make herself available for you when you needed. I never felt like I wasn't important to her as a client. I honestly felt like I was her only client because of the attention and care she gave me.
If you are a bride who really likes elegance and tons of flowers then she is your gal! She has tons of decor items such as table linens and chairs; she also has a great florist which allows her to get awesome arrangements. She is very innovative in her designs and goes above and beyond to deliver. Her attention to the minuscule details really set the tone for my wedding and will set yours apart from the average wedding. As a bride, I had a hard time knowing what I wanted at first, then articulating what my vision was. Julie somehow figured out my vision and delivered what I wanted and more.
I highly recommend Julie in order to take the stress of planning your wedding all by yourself or if you want to have a memorable and stunning look for your wedding. Julie did an amazing job with my wedding! She made my dream, fairytale wedding come true. She helped me get decor I didn't think I was able to get whether it was getting them custom made or finding them through different alleys. Her and her staff were always on time and had the events ready even with small increments of time for turnover. My husband Angel & I started planning our wedding in May 2014, thinking I was going to be able to plan and coordinate it on my own. Definitely the most crazy idea I've ever had because when it came down to it, I don't know what we would've done without Julie! I didn't really realize how much was needed to make a wedding work, sitting and talking with Julie almost made me feel overwhelmed because she reminded me of different details such as transportation, what hotel we would be staying at after the reception, and other things that slipped my mind, but having her walk me through it all took such a big weight off my shoulders, and I no longer was ever overwhelmed knowing she was just one call/e-mail away. Julie is EVERYTHING, she eats, sleeps, and breathes weddings! Overall, I know if I didn't hire her to plan and coordinate my wedding, it would've been my biggest regret. Let me start by saying that Julie is truly heaven sent! My husband and I feared that we were not going to be able to afford the wedding of our dreams let alone have a wedding planner. With Julie’s help are wedding looked priceless to say the least and she worked magic to get it done on a limited budget (no exaggerations there). Julie took the time to understand our likes and dislikes and catered to our every need every step of the way. She also took the time to get to know us personally versus just on a business bases and that really stuck out to us. During the planning process we were able to have our must haves and I trusted Julie to add whatever else she thought would be needed to make our dream wedding happen. Her creativity is mine blowing as her visions come to life. Julie and the Simply Elegant team showed up and DELIEVERED! Our wedding day went so seamlessly smooth without any hiccups. From the very fresh flowers, to the astonishing décor, to the many DIY tidbits that made us and all of our guest daze in aww. She comes highly recommended and she is worth every penny. I found Julie, after I had already booked a wedding coordinator and florist and somewhat regret it because her designs are beautiful. I rented chiavari chairs (best price in town!) and napkins. Julie, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my wedding day so special and magical.
When my mother decided to hire a wedding planner, she wanted to hire someone who could make my wedding look spectacular. My mother looked online at all of these wedding planning companies in our area but she could not find one that had that special something she was looking for. That was until she found Simply Elegant. Simply Elegant offered just what their name is elegance. My mom met with Julie Hurt, they brainstormed some ideas, and everything came to life. Julie helped me make my dream wedding come true! My wedding was absolutely fabulous! We had so many people coming up to us and telling us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended! Our vendors were just as impressed and told us the same thing. I cannot say enough great things about Julie Hurt and Simply Elegant. Julie was very professional and it was obvious she had a deep passion for her profession and that she gives all she has to all of her clients. At first we weren't going to hire a planner or designer because we thought we couldn't afford it. We were going with our "friends" who offered to help us. Then a few months in to planning, they were nowhere to be found! In a panic, we called Simply Elegant!! Julie and her team were so helpful for my husband and I. I am certain they are 100% the reason (combined with prayer of course) why my wedding was as stress-free and beautiful as it was. There were so many details that we didn't have to worry about. Simply Elegant literally handled all of those and did it well. We could tell how professional they were and how much experience they had. Not to mention, they have connections with several vendors in the community and often can get "relationship discounts" for you. The unique thing about Simply Elegant is they are a one stop shop! The do set up, take down, design, flowers, and own their entire inventory. I loved the relationship we were able to build with Julie and her team. We felt like they really cared about us personally and it wasn't just about the money or the "business". We felt like our wedding was IMPORTANT to them even though they probably had other weddings to do. We "felt" like ours was their only one. We were DEFINITELY on a budget and a tight one-, but Simply Elegant was the only planning company that was willing to work with us. They were creative, re-assuring, and confident in their abilities. Simply Elegant did all the decor and flower arrangements for my wedding. They were wonderful to work with and very flexible. My bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets were absolutely beautiful. Julie was very knowleadgeable on other vendors and helped me through the planning process she also had great resources. Simply elegant made the day of the wedding super easy they took care of all the decorating and set-up of my ceremony and reception along with Fresh From the Kitchen LLC. I would highly recommend Simply Elegant.

We had about 9 months to plan a 3 day extravagant Indian wedding! We both have full time jobs and were new in the city. We met with Julie the first night, and we knew she was the one we had to have to plan our extravaganza. She put us at ease that first meeting, we were already stressed and overwhelmed about planning this wedding. She took our ideas and our likes into consideration with every step and every detail of the wedding. It was nice to have someone who always had your interests as their first priority. From day 1 we could tell that her entire goal was to make sure we got the exact wedding we wanted.
Venue hunting can get tiring and frustrating, but Julie kept going, even when we changed our minds from wanting a resort to a free standing wedding venue. I always wanted an outdoor wedding, but that was not possible with an August wedding in Phoenix! I settled for at least having windows at the venue we get married in, but little did I know that was a tough task as well. Leave it to Julie to find us the exact place I would have imagined, with windows, wood floors and the rustic but elegant feel we were going for. She knew a lot of people in the business and most of our vendors were ones that she has worked with. Not only did they have nothing but great things to say about Julie, but they were amazing at what they did. It was great to not have to hunt for separate vendors either.
Come wedding weekend, everything was set and ready to go. This is when we saw the actual genius at work! Her decorations were breathtaking, each event was transformed into a magical bollywood set. Of course we prepared ourselves for the small glitches that would come up. But Julie and her team made sure that even those small glitches were perfect. The weekend was so magical and such a fairy tale. Our guests all had the best time ever, and enjoyed every moment.
We would highly recommend Julie Hurt and Simply Elegant to plan and decorate your wedding or any event.We had about 9 months to plan a 3 day extravagant Indian wedding! We both have full time jobs and were new in the city. We met with Julie the first night, and we knew she was the one we had to have to plan our extravaganza. She put us at ease that first meeting, we were already stressed and overwhelmed about planning this wedding. She took our ideas and our likes into consideration with every step and every detail of the wedding. It was nice to have someone who always had your interests as their first priority. From day 1 we could tell that her entire goal was to make sure we got the exact wedding we wanted.
Venue hunting can get tiring and frustrating, but Julie kept going, even when we changed our minds from wanting a resort to a free standing wedding venue. I always wanted an outdoor wedding, but that was not possible with an August wedding in Phoenix! I settled for at least having windows at the venue we get married in, but little did I know that was a tough task as well. Leave it to Julie to find us the exact place I would have imagined, with windows, wood floors and the rustic but elegant feel we were going for. She knew a lot of people in the business and most of our vendors were ones that she has worked with. Not only did they have nothing but great things to say about Julie, but they were amazing at what they did. It was great to not have to hunt for separate vendors either.
Come wedding weekend, everything was set and ready to go. This is when we saw the actual genius at work! Her decorations were breathtaking, each event was transformed into a magical bollywood set. Of course we prepared ourselves for the small glitches that would come up. But Julie and her team made sure that even those small glitches were perfect. The weekend was so magical and such a fairy tale. Our guests all had the best time ever, and enjoyed every moment.
We would highly recommend Julie Hurt and Simply Elegant to plan and decorate your wedding or any event. -

WOW is all I can say! They did an amazing job with our flowers and decorating our reception! We actually stopped in the studio because the center piece caught our eye. We weren't planning on having a decorator, we were going to do it all ourselves. We didnt think we could afford it. Once we saw the cost of them doing it vs ourselves we decided to have them do it! It was the best decision we made. There is no way our wedding would have turned out as stunning and gorgeous if we had not hired them. Our flowers were so fresh and beautiful. There was no stress and everything was all set up before we even got there. I would defiantly refer them. This was by far the best choice I made when it came to my wedding. Words can not describe how happy I was with their service. I will forever be grateful to them for making my wedding so beautiful!!!!!WOW is all I can say! Great working with Julie, especially as we were planing long distance and did most of the work by email or phone.
