    Lindsay, sent from heaven!

    I found Lindsay on Weddingwire and quickly contacted her. After our initial consult with her, my now husband and I knew immediately that she was the one. I don't think our wedding could have turned out more perfect. I think what I appreciated the most was that she was realistic with us. She stuck to our budget and whenever we had ideas, she would consider them and be real with us, show us options, or explained how we would be able to achieve what we wanted. I'm very much a DIY bride and have many skills that she let me apply to the wedding (normally she would do these herself, but we established so much trust in each other that she knew I could handle it well). Absolutely every vendor she proposed was a hit. She calmed me down so much and took over any little thing that overwhelmed me. I'm happy to say that after all of this, I get to call Lindsay a true friend!

    Simply Sunshine Events is amazing!

    My husband and I were both working full time and knew we needed a Wedding Planner as we would never have been able to do it all ourselves. Simply Sunshine Events was on the recommended vendor list at our venue and once I went to her website I knew we would love to use her. Lindsay took the time to get to know both of us in order to create a unique design for our wedding. We loved all of the ideas she came up with and her vendor recommendations! She also was a tremendous help with all the little details leading up to our wedding and coordinating with all of our vendors, so we had to do as little as possible! On our wedding day, the design that Lindsay created was stunning and it was so amazing to see everything come together! We had tons of guests tell us and our families they have never seen such beautiful decor and table settings before. Not only was our design amazing, Lindsay had every detail day of coordinated and not once was anything out of place. She kept everything running smoothly all day and night and we honestly could not have imagined our wedding without her! We are so thankful for Simply Sunshine Events!

    Best Decision We Made!

    From the very first phone call, Lindsay of Simply Sunshine Events was an absolute joy to work with! Her upbeat, can-do attitude made planning the wedding of our dreams not only possible, but enjoyable and as stress-free as wedding planning goes. We truly embraced her guidance and advice throughout the months (18 to be exact!) leading up to our wedding and we are so glad we did! Lindsay took the time to not only understand what we were looking for in our wedding, but also to understand us as a couple. She is one of the most intuitive planners out there and has a magical way about her where she knows exactly what you want even if you don't know it yourself. Lindsay is a rarity as she is both an artist and insanely organized. She is a master of design and can craft up some of the prettiest tablescapes you have ever seen, all the while making the logistics look like a walk in the park. As a self-proclaimed control freak, it was truly a breath of fresh air finding that time and time again Lindsay was always 3 steps ahead of me. With Lindsay, it felt like we were able to take part in all of the fun and exciting parts of planning a wedding without the daunting behind-the-scenes work. The name says it all, planning a wedding with Lindsay is "simply sunshine" and the best decision we made!

    Lindsay is the best, most patient, most helpful, incredible, organized, kind, and thoughtful person. I’m not exaggerating when I say, our wedding would not have happened without her. She was absolutely fabulous from beginning to end. She understood our vision and then took it to the next level to create the most beautiful day for my husband and I. From the beginning, Lindsay was always so attentive, making sure that at every stop of the process we were happy and getting exactly what we wanted.
    We got married in May in NYC, and going into this process, my husband and I had no idea where to start with vendors or pricing, but Lindsay was able to give us her top recommendations for each, which turned the process into something very easy, simple, and fun. We didn’t stress about anything and Lindsay always sent us reminders to make sure we stayed on schedule, which was so helpful since my husband and I have very crazy work schedules.
    The day of the wedding I didn’t have one stress in the world because Lindsay had planned out everything down to the minute. And if I had a question she was there instantly. There’s so much more to say but honestly, she made our wedding planning process and our wedding day extraordinary and it wouldn't have been possible without her.

    Lindsay was a godsend during our year and a half of wedding planning. There’s no way we could have pulled it off without her. She was so on top of everything every step of the way and took the pressure off our shoulders. My husband and I are eternally grateful as we’re not much of planners ourselves. Our situation had the potential to be catastrtrophic (getting married in the middle of upstate New York with half the wedding guests coming from South America), but Lindsay ensured that not only was everything absolutely perfect, the entire planning experience and day of seemed flawless and exceeded our wildest wedding dreams. We got married four months ago, but people are still talking about how gorgeous the event was. None of it would have been possible without Lindsay. She is so passionate, creative, caring, and a joy to work with. If you’re on the fence about getting a wedding planner, do it...and choose Lindsay. You can thank me later.

    Me and my husband had absolute NO idea what we wanted for our wedding. Shortly after we got engaged, we started looking at wedding review sites for vendors and felt so overwhelmed by the choices. We were lost, felt under prepared and didn't know where to start. After receiving a recommendation from our friend, we quickly got in touch with Lindsay from Simply Sunshine Events. Not only did she make it a point to get to know us personally and made sure she understood exactly what we were looking for, she designed one beautiful wedding! The vendors she recommended were an incredible fit for our style and personalities and did a phenomenal job. With Lindsay and her team by our side, we knew we were in great hands. They effortlessly (well, we know it was a ton of effort but they made it look like a breeze), navigated the ins and outs of our venue (which was a blank space and had to bring e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g and everyone in) and made it the most beautiful space we had ever seen (think Style Me Pretty and the type you see on Pinterest!).

    On our wedding day, let's just say it could have easily quickly gone south. It started to pour with incredible wind in the morning (we had an outdoor ceremony) and we were incredibly nervous. Lindsay and Co. made sure that we weren't just prepared with a plan A, but a plan B, C (you get the picture). Luckily, the sun came out, but without Simply Sunshine Events, we would have been an absolute wreck. I have never felt more taken care of (my husband echoes the same sentiments) and really, if it had rained, we still would have had a rockin' party!

    Our wedding day, and all of the time we worked with them leading up to our wedding day, was simply amazing. We are the lucky ones to have been able to work with Lindsay and Simply Sunshine Events and cannot thank them enough for the professionalism, honesty, eye for design and all of the little details, but most of all, for taking the time to get to know us. We love you!! Thank you!!

    Lindsay (Simply Sunshine Events) was a genuine lifesaver in our wedding planning process. My husband (Mike) and I decided to get a wedding planner when we were about 2 to 3 months into wedding planning. We had picked our ceremony and reception venue and had worked out a few vendors, but did not really have a vision or idea of how to go about the rest of the process ourselves. I read about Lindsay on another review and instantly knew she would be someone that both my husband and I would easily get along with through the wedding planning. When we first met Lindsay, my thoughts were confirmed. Not only is she kind, sweet, and relaxed (in a great way!), but she's really knowledgeable about wedding planning and event design in general. Lindsay made it a priority to get to know Mike and I as a couple as to better put our ideas, our style, and our interests into our wedding. Within the first couple weeks of meeting her, she created 3 visions of our wedding that she felt suited us, which was amazing to see put together. From there, she gave amazing recommendations for vendors, discussed options very clearly with us, gave great visuals, and was ALWAYS available to communicate via email and phone as well. Both my husband and I work full time and we never had to worry about things getting done with Lindsay as our planner. She is driven, efficient, honest, and super creative. The month, week, and days before the wedding were seamless because Mike and I did not have to worry about anything. We were able to fully enjoy the most important day of our lives thanks to Lindsay AND her amazing team! And to top it all off, the wedding was PERFECT!! :)

    I've never felt more cared for than during the months leading up to my wedding. Lindsay managed my day-of logistics, but her attention to our wedding started months earlier. She would consistently check in with me to make sure I was on track, make recommendations, and help to to alleviate last-minute stress. All of my friends were stunned at how calm I was the week of my wedding. That was in part due to Lindsay's meticulous planning skills, guidance and advice. She gets 5 stars plus for her dedication, creativity, organization, and obvious love of her work. Hire her! I didn't think I needed a planner, but I promise you won't regret it.

    Lindsay is absolutely incredible! Lindsay was our #1 trusted resource during our wedding planning process. She is reliable, responsive, creative, organized, knowledgeable, and overall a uniquely talented person with an obvious dedication to her brand. She guided us through the wedding planning process from start to finish; from what kind of questions to ask during initial venue tours to helping to put memorable finishing touches on our big day! Lindsay has years of invaluable industry knowledge and contacts, and was able to draw on those to provide us with high quality referrals. For example, we were overwhelmed by the number of vendors in our area and wanted to pick a videographer who was easy to work with and would produce a professional quality, personal video that we would cherish forever. Lindsay delivered! She introduced us to an amazing videographer and we were thrilled with the final result. In addition to being a constant resource, she went above the call of duty and helped us design the programs for our ceremony – expertly matching the font and graphics from our invitation to the program.     Lindsay was AMAZING! She helped us find the best venue for the event that we were looking to have within our budget, and her recommendations for vendors were spot on! The day of the wedding, we were truly able to enjoy everything as Lindsay had everything so organized and planned out, and she handled anything that needed handling!     Let me preface this review by saying if you are thinking about getting a wedding planner in the NJ/NY area, definitely reach out to Lindsay! She is absolutely amazing and will help craft an event that is better than you could have imagined. She has been such a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process. Let me back up and give you some context. When I started talking to different wedding planner, every one of them started off by telling me about all of their packages and what was included in their service. Lindsay was different. Unlike the other planners who immediately went into their sales pitch, Lindsay wanted to hear our story and what we wanted in our wedding. It seemed like she genuinely wanted to help us create our special day, not just give us a cookie cutter list of services. This was such a refreshing and personal way of approaching wedding planning. I knew from that minute that I wanted to work with her. We decided to get help on both the design portion as well as the planning portion of our wedding. I'm really not the most creative person and I felt like we needed help putting together the overall vision. We were presented with a personalize design brief with a couple of different options. Once we decided on a vision, Lindsay was able to pick vendor options that she thought would work well with the venue and overall theme. It was so much less overwhelming being able to choose out of a couple of highly recommended vendors than from everyone. Which leads me to another important thing that Lindsay brought to the table: experience. My husband and I had an at home, outdoor wedding which would have been a logistics nightmare without Lindsay. She provided us super detail specific timelines of when we should do each task, as well as supplemental tools to assist us along the way. Overall, I’m so glad we worked with Simply Sunshine for both the planning and design of our wedding. She helped make our wedding more amazing than I ever could hoped for.

    Simply Sunshine Events is fantastic! Lindsay was extremely personable and committed to making our wedding dream a reality. She was always available, responsive, friendly and able to think of the little aspects of the wedding that we didn't even think about.

    Our wedding weather was horrid - cold, rainy and windy. She made sure we had a backup plan for everything though and as soon as we made the call to have the ceremony inside on the wedding day, she made it happen.

    She made sure everything was taken care of, that everyone was communicating , that our wedding still looked AMAZING, and, best of all, that we didn't have to worry about any of it on the wedding day :).

    I personally film weddings for a living and have been doing so for eight years. Having filmed over 300, I knew what I wanted (and definitely what I DIDN'T want) for my wedding. Lindsay was the person I trusted most to take care of making that a reality.

    I have worked with her for weddings ranging from 70 guests (ours) to over 500. Each one was different because of her incredible expertise, knowledge, and passion to make each couples' vision shine through in a unique way. She loves what she does and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who wants their wedding to look great, run flawlessly and to enjoy it without worry.

    As we got closer to our wedding date, our friends and family always asked, “Are you stressed? Are you nervous?” The answer was always a resounding “no!” and that was all because of Lindsay. My now-husband and I knew from our very first meeting that we were in great hands. She got to know us and then tailored to reflect us as a couple. Nothing was cookie cutter. We got married on Vieques, Puerto Rico, a tiny island off the coast of Puerto Rico, meaning logistics for an 80+ person wedding were going to be challenging. She made it look like a breeze, seamlessly working (and befriending, no less) all our vendors. We highly recommend Simply Sunshine to all of our friends who are even thinking about getting married for weddings in Vieques, New York, and across the globe.

    Lindsay and the Simply Sunshine Events team is and was an absolute delight to work with! We had lofty dreams of incorporating a hot air balloon during our reception, and with the help of Lindsay she made our vision come to life in a tasteful, black tie fashion. Of course, Lindsay also recommended the absolute best creative team from a cinematographer, calligrapher, beauty team, and photographer who all made our day so special! We loved Lindsay's thoughtful approach to design and event coordination--not only is she ready with a plan "A", "B", and "C", but she also conceptualized a wedding design scheme specifically tailored to us as a couple. Lindsay made herself available to respond to our questions (from the most mundane to the most tedious that we had not even anticipated!) and went above and beyond her call of duty! Thank you so much Lindsay for making our loved ones and ourselves make the most wonderful memories. We could not have done this without you!

    Lindsay was fantastic - extremely organized, professional, and flexible with appointment times leading up to our wedding day. For a busy bride and groom-to-be that both had erratic work/travel schedules, she was very understanding and often scheduled Skype sessions with us at 9pm at night, which we very much appreciated. On the day of our wedding, everything went beautifully (even with the hurricane warning...) and we felt relaxed and enjoyed the day without worry knowing that Lindsay was handling everything.

    Words cannot describe how wonderful and amazing Lindsay is. Wedding planning was a breeze with Simply Sunshine Events by my side. Lindsay was able to answer every question and inquiry that I had. There were so many little things details that I never even knew about that she took care of. She helped guide us through all the tough choices, like DJ, photography, videographer, flowers, and everything in between. She was able to interpret our vision for the wedding to the T. The wedding day was beyond beautiful. We were able to celebrate with no worries. Lindsay plays the role of both wedding planner and superhero.     Lindsay and Simply sunshine events helped me actualize my dream wedding. She was extremely professional and answered all my questions and concerns no matter what time it was. Her vendors were super helpful and I never felt like I had to chase after them. I trusted Lindsay and Simply Sunshine events to work with the vendors-- sometimes for me when I was too busy to make a meeting.     My husband and I had planned a majority of the wedding, but we needed someone to execute everything for the day of, so that we could kick back and enjoy our wedding day. Lindsay of Simply Sunshine Events granted that wish, and more :) If you want someone who is diligent, detail oriented, flexible, fun, and wants to make sure you have a wonderful time, look no further. She started working with us a month before the wedding, and was able to coordinate our vendors both in Toronto and NJ. She gave us great advice along the way, and she made sure we were taken care of. We felt no stress on the day of the wedding, and everything felt so smooth. We recommend Lindsay to anyone planning their big event!!!

    Simply Sunshine Events (Lindsay) was hired for full planning and she also did a complete event design that captured everything we imagined! She is extremely organized and her forte seems to be her acute attention to detail including specific and flowing timeline for our special day. This led to a worry free day!

    The best way to describe Simply Sunshine Events and Lindsay is: organized, caring, helpful, responsive, flexible and creative. She designed our entire wedding, adding truly personal touches throughout. Beautiful!

We lost our venue three months before the wedding and Lindsay helped us plan a whole new wedding in record time-one that was even better than what we originally planned. If you want to wake up on your wedding day and only worry about how you're going to pee with spanx on, then Simply Sunshine Events is the wedding planner for you!     This is the wedding planner to hire ... Hands down. We interviewed many, but Lindsay showed her exceptional organizational skills within seconds. She gets it. !!!! A few words an you don't need to explain anymore. She is that sharp and on top of it.
    We hired her from day one, because you have no idea how many more things you need to think about and really don't know to include. She produced an directed the most elegant wedding. Lindsay knows how to keep everyone happy an has answers for all problems . She is always upbeat an positive an creates an atmosphere of tranquility. Her fees are reasonably an very fair ....     From our very first conversation, it was clear that Simply Sunshine Event's priority is on client satisfaction, as we walked away with a level of comfort we never thought we'd find. My wife and I had attempted to manage the entire process ourselves but with the details of our out-of-town wedding growing daily, we realized we needed help. Simply Sunshine Events was able to step in and assume control of every last detail immediately, making sense from the chaos and instantly relieving all the stress. All the headaches that we would have to had dealt with were a distant memory, allowing us to focus on enjoying ourselves which is something you can't put a price tag on.

    We've recommended Simply Sunshine Events to friends and family on several occasions and would not hesitate to continue to do so. The bottom line is they care. Their attention to detail, passion and energy are second to none.

    Planning a wedding doesn't have to be stressful--Lindsay at simply sunshine events helped make my weekend of wedding activities as enjoyable for my husband and I as it was for our guests. We recently got married on Vieques Island, which is off the beaten path and doesn't have the resources that you would find elsewhere in the United States. With that said, Lindsay and her team put in a lot of time to research not only the vendors, but ever small detail about the island so that our wedding went off without a hitch.

    Lindsay also helped us create one of the most beautiful weddings the island has ever seen. I'm serious, we had locals coming up to us later in the week telling us they had seen pictures and were impressed by all the detail. As mentioned, Vieques is a tiny island, so in order to keep cost down and have the design elements we wanted, Lindsay rolled up her sleeves and "helped" create a lot of the personal touches for the wedding. She had a lot of great ideas, yet heard my vision and worked within those parameters from both a creative and monetary standpoint.

    Simply sunshine did a great job with our wedding and I would absolutely use her again.

    Lindsay of Simply Sunshine Events went above and beyond to help me plan my dream wedding. I haven't attended many weddings in my adult life, so I had a lot of questions about expectations and etiquette, which Lindsay answered clearly and thoroughly.

    She was particularly helpful in educating me about stationery as I was pretty clueless about my options and, once I familiarized myself, I was then overwhelmed by choice. Lindsay helped to steer me in a direction with our invitations that fit our budget and aesthetic, as well as my desire to work with someone local and in-person rather than order online without consultation.

    Lindsay had excellent advice for me regarding my DIY projects as she has a great eye and lots of experience with DIY projects of her own. I really appreciated her help when it came time to make our ceremony programs at home.

    Last but not least, I rented table runners from Simply Sunshine Events. I had a vision of burlap table runners which I had neither the time nor skill to make myself so it was a huge lifesaver when I learned I was able to rent them from Lindsay. They really added a unique, textured element to our tablescapes.

    I highly recommend Simply Sunshine Events. Lindsay's professionalism and friendly, kind demeanor make her a pleasure to work with.

    I struggle to put into words how much my husband and I enjoyed working with Lindsay. She is a true visionary and worked magic with completely anti-wedding couples such as ourselves. Lindsay understood everything we wanted (and did not want - and there was a LOT we did not want). The year we worked together couldn't have been less stressful and on the big day, you could truly see Lindsay loves what she does. My relatives and friends still can't get over the enchanting theme and event she helped plan with us. Magic.
