  Vanessa was amazing! She was on time, quick, and produced amazing results both at my trial and day of (where she tackled seven make-up jobs!). I don't normally wear much make-up, but she helped me refine what I wanted. Day of, I had changed my mind about some of the things we did at the trial and she wasn't phased at all. Everyone in my wedding party was super thrilled with how they looked.

  Vanessa's work was amazing. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and still felt like I looked like me. She came to my house for our trial and to our hotel to do my make up. My bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law all looked amazing. Vanessa knows how to bring out your best features without make you look too "made up"!

  Vanessa is truely amazing. The way she did my makeup for my wedding, I couldn't be more happy. Everything was exactly how I wanted. I especially loved the darkness around my eyes, she did that perfectly. I'm totally going to use her again, I just need to figure out what for.

  Vanessa did the makeup for my wedding in August and I loved everything about working with her. She was very easy to work with and did an amazing job with everyone's makeup. The airbrush makeup was so natural and literally stayed on all night and looked flawless. I love the way that my makeup and my bridemaid's makeup looked in person and in pictures. She took personal style into consideration and worked with everyone from my professional makeup artist bridesmaid to my sister who never wears makeup at all. Everyone was thrilled with the outcome. She even went so far as to apply my Grandma's own makeup for her so that she had a special wedding look too! Vanessa was very affordable and came to do our makeup at the hotel in San Francisco where we were getting ready which was a real plus. I would really recommend her to anyone who wants a professional makeup artist who is a joy to have around on your wedding day!

  Vanessa is a doll! She is a fantastic make up artist, she's funny and puts you at ease (all of the girls in the wedding LOVED her) and I can't imagine anyone else doing my makeup for my special day.
  I booked a wedding trial a few months back - we set it up so that the trial coincided with my bridal shower, which just so happened to be in a house in South San Jose with no AC on one of the hottest days of the year! I thought my makeup was going to melt off, but a few hours and 2 buckets of sweat later, my makeup looked just as fresh as if Vanessa had just done it! Amazing! That pretty much sealed the deal.
  On the wedding day, Vanessa did make up for me, my mom, and my two bridesmaids.
  My bridesmaids looked gorgeous :) just how I wanted!
  My mom NEVER wears makeup, and when I told her that I wanted her makeup done by Vanessa, she protested because she had never had anyone do her makeup the way that she liked. Vanessa gave her a super light and natural look, she looked so beautiful and I was so happy because my mom loved it.
  For myself, I wanted an old style 1940's look: Winged liner, red lips,etc.
  She listened and looked at the pictures I had brought her and did it exactly how I wanted!
  Everyone who saw me got this starry look in their eyes and told me how absolutely beautiful I looked ... Let me just say that I am an okay looking girl but I felt like a princess on my wedding day. Vanessa was absolutely wonderful.
  I recommend her to everyone who wants to look beautiful for their special event.

  I have worked with Vanessa before when I hosted a spa party and she was fabulous then! I was recently in a wedding and Vanessa did my make up and I loved it! She listened to what we wanted and delivered! My make up stayed on all night!

  I am so happy with Sitting Pretty services! My makeup for my wedding was really good and it lasted the entire day. I am so glad that I found her because she did a great job on my face and it was very nice! My eyes were great the entire day-day and night which is wonderful for special days such as weddings. She listened to exactly what I wanted and then, come the wedding day, everything was smooth sailing. I was as calm and cool as a cucumber - no stressing about my makeup!!
  
  Now, I'm a crier and the day I got married was the forecasted to be about 94 degrees. My bridesmaids were worried that my makeup would either 1) melt off or 2) be washed away from my crying - but Vanessa assured that ALL of our makeup would last. Was she right? ABSOLUTELY!! It was wonderful!!! I mean, I CRIED and SWEATED (it even stayed while we danced on the dance floor!!)
  
  I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Vanessa for any bride-to-be!! She is wonderful and competitively priced for the quality of work she does!! Trust me, she was one of the reasons why I was able to truly enjoy my day instead of stressing and worrying. My makeup was flawless! :)

  Vanessa is very responsive and professional. She responded to my email the same day I requested a qoute. She was also on time for the trial and was very prepared. She does an excellant job and I was really impressed with her airbrushing technique.

It was great that she was able to provide me with an On location Hair Stylist that she works with regularly. She worked with my crazy schedule and best of all she came to me! I was very pleased with her work and felt so good at the trial, I decided to make a day of it & go out to dinner with my Bridesmaids. Ultimatley they all decided on having their makeup done for the wedding as well. On the day of my wedding she showed up on time & finished our makeup in time for the photographer. It was stress free as I had leisure time to sip on my drink prior to my wedding rather than rushing back to my hotel from a salon. I would'nt have trusted my face to just anyone on this wonderful day. I looked lovely at my wedding & I have the pictures to prove it! Thank You Vanessa I will be contacting her soon for an upcoming event & can't wait to see her again!

  Vanessa was great! The makeup was amazing and felt very natural. I have splotchy skin and didnt want to look splotchy or caked with makeup because of it. She was able to cover up my problem skin and the best part was that I didnt even feel like I was wearing makeup. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

  Upon reading many great reviews on yelp.com I felt confident in booking a trial with Sitting Pretty. I had a great experience with Vanessa, she was a ton of fun. I loved my makeup and she referred me to Taylor for my hair. They both got together on the same date of my trial to coincide with my Engagment Photos. It was a great use of my make up & hair (suggested by Vanessa).She arrived on my wedding date with enough time to squeeze in a couple extra wedding guests who were inspired after seeing myself & bridesmaids finished & gorgeous. I plan to book Vanessa's services again for any future occasions and will continue spreading the word about Sitting Pretty!

  Vanessa is absolutely amazing. I have had her do my make-up three times now and each time she has been flawless! I will go to her for every make-up need I have! I highly recommend her for any occasion. She is very flexible and came highly recommended by my 3 sister in laws as well.
