    Without a hitch

    I loved working with Erin and Mia for the wedding. Everything went smooth and the venue was even more beautiful than I could imagine. They really did a phenomenal job at making our wedding special and as stress free as it could be. The food was park of booking with the venue which made coordinating a caterer simple. Not to mention all the compliments I got on the venue and the food. This place is for those who want a more elegant feel to their wedding. Ig you are looking for something vintage and elegant check this out. I absolutely loved it.

    We are still planning our wedding but the lady helping me coordinate everything has been very sweet! She is very professional and the building is beautiful! Definitely getting our moneys worth here!

    Everything turned out awesome, heard a lot of compliments on the food and elegance of the hotel. Friends and family that stayed there also spoke very highly of the staff and experience. The staff that helped us day of and planning were very nice, we had an excellent experience.

    I believe the coordinators at the Skirvin sincerely care about their brides. The way they organize things is as close to perfect as you can get. The food was incredible! Service was great! I definitely recommend the Skirvin to any bride that wants the most stress fee venue in OKC - they'll make sure you're taken care of!

    Venue for reception and hotel accommodations.
    Every aspect of the wedding planning through the follow-up in the days after the wedding has been a positive experience. Abbey and Jenny did an outstanding job to make everything go well with such a professional focus on detail. We are very happy we chose the Skirvin Hilton for the reception and the hotel accommodations. The hotel is beautiful and provided many areas for guest to comfortably socialize. The hotel management and security were also extremely professional and helpful during a health scare at the hotel. All the food prepared by the hotel was delicious and the plate presentation was beautiful and service was efficient.

    Loved the Skirvin and their team. Once we got through the booking process, our wedding coordinator, Abbey, was fabulous! She saw our vision and made it come to life in ways that I didn't know were possible. Very professional.

    I loved having my wedding reception at the skirvin. Everything down to the last detail was perfect! Every employee there was extremely nice and helpful to all of my guests!! Amazing!!!

    Out of all the decisions my fiance and I had to make during the planning process, I would say that choosing the Skirvin was the best one we made. First, the venue itself is just beautiful! The hotel is a landmark in downtown OKC and was beautifully renovated recently. We worked with Abbey Volkman, the social events manager there and she was fantastic. She was incredibly responsive to every little question I had and did a great job of letting me know when we needed to have certain things decided. You could tell she has a lot of experience with weddings and the Skirvin is very lucky to have her. She was easy to work with and was very accommodating.

    I would say her expertise was the most helpful on the day before and the day of the event. Our officiant was running a little late for the rehearsal so Abbey stepped in and got the wedding party set up to practice walking down the aisle until she arrived. Then the officiant could just step in once she got there and run through the ceremony. It was very easy and not stressful at all. The day of the event, Abbey made sure everything was set up for the wedding party to get ready on site. We had a room for the hair and make-up team for the entire day. The staff at the Skirvin came by regularly to ask questions while setting up for the event and to make sure we had everything we needed while we were getting ready. They anticipated things that I would never have thought of and were very flexible if changes needed to be made.

    Then, during the ceremony and reception, Abbey was there to make sure everything flowed perfectly! She closely monitored the reception to ensure all of the components happened right and on time. Overall, I would say the Skirvin is a great value for the service we received. Out of all of the venues we saw in Norman and OKC, it was the most beautiful and definitely not the most expensive. I would highly recommend the Skirvin to any bride!

    The Skirvin Hilton is AMAZING! The services they provide are not comparable to any other venue. Everyone is so personal, and they make you feel less stressed knowing your big day is in good hands! My wedding coordinator was Sara; she is super sweet and very easy to get in contact with! She reached out to me every so often leading up to the wedding to make sure I was doing okay, and the wedding week she was super easy to get in contact with in case something came up. Super blessed to have worked with her! We definitely connected which made the planning process a lot more fun. ;) The only thing about the Skirvin is you have to buy ALL food and drink from them, and with that comes lots and lots of service charges (which hikes up the price a lot). But to me it was worth it because the service was phenomenal! The night before my maid of honor and I got to stay the night in a complementary King Suite at the hotel, and Sara provided us with free Valet parking and some chocolate covered strawberries and wine for toasting! The night of the wedding, I got to spend the night in the hotel again with my new husband. It was perfect! We ran into one problem with the Skirvin--they set out desserts at the buffet during the reception without me knowing. People barely ate the cake or the s'mores bar we had paid lots of money for because they were all full from the truffles, cheesecake, and carrot cake. This was very frustrating. If you are planning on booking the Skirvin, make sure you ask them about this. If they put out desserts, I would advise you to NOT spend money on a cake. Or, tell them no desserts and do the cake! Other than that, it was the most perfect day! Thank you, Skirvin Hotel!!!

    Good experience

    My wedding turned out wonderful I would say the Skirvin did an excellent job in making us feel comfortable. The hotel needs to be updated a little but it’s very elegant. The short rib we had for our wedding was amazing! Guest can’t stop Bragging about how good the food was. The staff was so nice and helpful. We got a beautiful room that was complementary the night before and of wedding, even a bottle of champagne waiting for us with a nice card from our coordinator. It was honestly a magical experience and loved how everything turned out.

    Excellent home base for a wedding

    We used the Skirvin for our hotel block and farewell brunch on the Sunday after our wedding. The location was perfect and the large lobby and Red Piano Bar were great to family and friends getting together in between the hosted events. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. My favorite part of the Skirvin was hands down the staff that help us with the booking and planning. From doing the tour and contracts with Lori to the weekly updates and brunch planning with Kelsey, they were professional, responsive, and very helpful. I trusted them and did not have to worry about following up ever (which is so rare when planning a wedding). I would highly recommend working with them if you are seeking a convenient downtown hotel option for your wedding guests.

    Working with the Skirvin was fantastic. I had a little issue with my main contact changing three times, but they are pretty good at transferring information on. Food was fantastic, got to taste everything and make modifications, willing to go above and beyond. Just be careful when catering, we had some people order a child's plate when an adult plate had been given to their child so we got charged double for about 20 kids who were old enough for the adult plate but wanted the child plate and never sent the adult plate back. That was the only bad thing about the Skirvin, but it did cost us $750 extra... Just be careful of that, otherwise the Skirvin is fantastic!

    The event coordinator we worked with was new and we were pretty much on our own but she was really sweet . The hotel itself is fabulous and gorgeous and our guests loved it.

    While planning my wedding, I think the Skirvin was going through different management or something because I had to talk to several different people each time I called about my wedding. I paid the down payment to have my wedding there, then they call me that night to tell me they double booked and I had to change my date. So I had to change my date, which was not a huge deal except in Oklahoma when you have a fall wedding its scheduled around football. So I start the planning process and go and meet with the coordinators who were not the same people I had talked with before (I talked with at least five different coordinators). I had to explain everything over again each time. Then I went to try the food, that actually went well, surprisingly enough. I booked a lot of hotel rooms (30 to be exact) and called about 2 weeks before the wedding to make sure everything was set. Well they couldn't find my reservation anywhere, I talked to 5 different people for about 2 hours before they told me that they only had 3 rooms left. Then they told me for making a mistake they would give me free valet for my guests. Well the day of they did not give all of my guests free valet. Not a big deal but after so many things going wrong it made me a little mad. Also my guests told me that a bartender was being extremely rude to several guests. And then the valet boys made a rude comment to one of my best friends and he decided he was not going to come back to the reception because of what they called him. I had a few choice words with the so called manager. They have probably had five different managers since my wedding. I was very disappointed with the venue. I still had a wonderful wedding, but it would have been better if the Skirvin would have gotten their stuff together. I do not recommend them to anyone, unless they have completely changed.

    Me and my husband had our wedding at the Skirvin Hilton hotel. After the wedding I was told by the Skirvin staff that they would would deliver all of our wedding gifts and personal items to the room for us so that we could celebrate that evening with friends and family. The Skirvin failed to deliver our personal items to our room which included many items that were special such as my bouquet, wedding dress bag, and much more. They did however deliver our wedding gifts, but with our wedding gifts they mistakenly delivered another wedding parties gifts to our room as well. When me and my husband returned to our hotel room we had only a short time before we needed to be at the airport to board our flight for our honeymoon. As any other young couple would we quickly opened all the gifts and cards not paying attention to who anything was addressed to because they were in our room. We noted what we received and rested for the next day. The next day we had the car loaded and checked out of the hotel. Later that afternoon I received a call from the Skirvin informing me that half of my gifts were actually not mine and belonged to the other wedding. We were already out of the state at that point waiting on a second flight to our honeymoon. I explained to them that I would return the gifts to the hotel as soon as we returned home that nobody has a house key to our house except for us and that It was their mistake. The hotel continued to call and email my family, friends, and myself throughout our entire honeymoon. They started to state that I was lying to them and stole the other wedding parties gifts. They harassed us throughout our entire honeymoon and tried to get our family to go to our house and get the gifts back to them before we returned. Our entire honeymoon was filled with drama and emotional distress because of this issue and their phone calls. Near the end of our honeymoon the Skirvin had started threatening me and stating they were going to call the authorities.
