  We called her our Fairy Godmother - she was that amazing!

  I’ve written this review in my mind a dozen times and am finally putting online the blessing of working with Tina Wuthnow, owner of Something Borrowed Event Planning, Design & Rentals. She blessed us way more than we could have asked or imagined and that’s why her nickname was “Fairy Godmother” during the planning & celebration of my daughter’s dream wedding.
  
  My daughter Alex & her fiancé (now husband) are Wichita elementary school teachers who invited their students to be in the wedding party. Alex simply wanted to bless her students and chose to post her “will you be in my wedding” moment on their favorite social media platform (Tik Tok). God took that seed of kindness and multiplied it a hundred times, it seems. Incredibly loving & generous people like Tina showered these kids & the couple with jaw-dropping abundance.
  
  So many kindnesses were lavished on us during this process and now that we reflect on our favorite planning moments Tina is part of most of them. I’ll only name a few of the dozens of special touches she provided: (1) She hand-made the bridesmaid bouquets and added the special memento of a framed pic of the couple to the little girls’ bouquets (so clever & sweet!); (2) She designed the centerpieces to include quotes from the students about love; (3) she coordinated at least 6 other vendors for the wedding & everyone she asked said YES because they love working with her; (4) when we had a family crisis, she called us with encouragement, prayer & smart solutions; (5) on WEDDING DAY I did not have one responsibility except to be the mother-of-the-bride and by that time I trusted Tina so completely that I did not have a care in the world.
  
  Aside from being a brilliant planner, her inventory is excellent, her support network is reliable, her experience is vast, she is humble and an incredibly hard worker. In addition to my daughter’s Black Tie wedding ceremony & reception, we also utilized Something Borrowed for my daughter’s wedding shower. Everything was PERFECT.
  
  If I could give her 10 stars I would.
  
  The wedding guests - and ultimately all who watch the national story on NBC Nightly News & CBS Inside Edition - experienced a fairytale event in large part because of Tina Wuthnow.

  Ms. Chandra was AMAZING. I can't thank her enough for planning and coordinating our wedding. She made our evening effortless and STUNNING! She were assertive, organized, creative, and most of all, trustworthy. Her execution was flawless! I couldn't be happier and I'm so glad we decided to have her for the whole wedding process. Not to mention the fact that she turned my vision into a reality and took all the stress away! We really appreciate everything Ms. Chandra did for us. With love, Mrs. Taurai

  My wedding was on July 30 and I had the privilege to have Ms. Chandra as my wedding planner. From the beginning, when I originally "Googled" her I was impressed. (Yes, I googled wedding planners in Montgomery and she came up.) I prayed and asked God to lead me to a planner that would be able to plan and bring the wedding of my dreams to fruition WITHIN a reasonable price. That's exactly what God did.
  
  We started planning my wedding in late January. (Side note: I was not living in Alabama at the time.) Originally, the wedding was planned to be held in Selma, AL, my hometown. Six weeks before the wedding I had a change of heart and decided to change the location of the wedding to Montgomery instead. (Oh no! Now, the stress is on! And I'm freaking out!) With time winding down, Ms. Tarver ensured me that she would handle it. She immediately contacted vendors, venues, caterers, DJs, etc. And within a weeks time EVERYTHING was locked in for the wedding. No lie!!! Only the Lord knows how grateful I am for Ms. Tarver, especially since I was not local in the area. Even when unexpected mishaps came up, she still made everything happened.
  
  Now, fast forward to the wedding! Ms. Chandra Tarver SHUT IT DOWN! She made my vision come to life. Everything was beyond beautiful! And she went over and beyond to ensure that everything was just the way I would like it! She understood the concept my husband and I were looking for and surpassed ALL of our expectations, and she did all of this within reasonable price. She ensured us that she could make it work within our budget, and she did just that! From her, to her colleagues; Fred "Fredtography" Powell (Photographer), Walter (Videographer), Mr. Kim (Evening Out Formal Wear), and Mrs. Sandra (Cake Designs), they ALL worked together and made my dreams come true.
  
  I would do my whole wedding planning process over a million times with Ms. Tarver. She LOVES what she do and she is GREAT at her craft.

Not only does she provide quality service, professionalism, beautiful decor, and unique ideas; but she does so with the utmost poise and class.   SBWE gave me the wedding of my dreams. My husband was pleased with the outcome of the ceremony and reception. Chandra was very professional and took all of our stress away. Individuals are still raving about the decor and elegance of my wedding. I would definitely recommend SBWE to anyone!

  I just had my dream wedding!! Thank you for getting this wedding off without problems and handling all the problems. Everyone u recommended was great from the hairstylist even to the make up artist!! If you are looking to have an extravagant event you should definitely use their services!! Everything was beautiful!!! We felt like movie stars on our big day!! Me and my husband Adrian thank you and would definitely recommend you to anyone! Thank you thank you again!!

I want to personally thank Chandra Tarver for being our planner. On my daughter's wedding day I was stress-free. I could sit back and really enjoy the beauty of the wedding day. Our planner was the contact person. She handled all the details and negotiations. This was well worth the investment. I strongly suggest don't plan your own wedding, sit back relax and enjoy the moment leave it to the professionals. You will definitely appreciate it later. Here is a list of the “Worst Things That Could Happen to You on Your Wedding Day” and believe me, they happened to my husband and me!
  1. Wedding planner arrives 15 minutes before wedding
  2. Wedding was delayed
  3. Guest book was not out until the reception
  4. Wedding Guest List was not used for the wedding
  5. Pictures of Bride and Groom’s deceased fathers not on unity sand table as expected
  6. Bride’s bouquet did not include the requested and agreed picture of her deceased dad and best friend
  7. Bride and Groom did not dance with their mothers (both dads were deceased)
  8. Wedding Planner accepted a tip / token of appreciation even after pre-wedding issues/discussions, low performance on day of wedding and not making our wedding as stress-free as you could and charged
  9. Bible Bearer did not have a Bible
  10. Wedding Officiant/Hostesses did not have flowers on (that were paid for)
  11. Unity sand was in plastic containers that they were originally purchased in, instead of glass containers bride purchased and gave to wedding planner
  12. Buckets of purchased flowers unused
  13. No decor at wedding from wedding planner because she arrived late (although wedding planner was paid to decorate wedding)
  14. Wedding party not introduced at reception
  15. Wedding planner was nasty with Bride’s mother and wedding party
  16. Trusted and paid your wedding planner 7K to execute a perfect day and feel like you didn’t even get 1K worth
  17. Wedding Planner refuses to return any of the 7K she was paid for her sub-par performance?
  Would you hire this wedding planner???
  
  

  As I embark on 20 months of marriage on today, I smile at the blessing marriage has been. In the same stroke of a smile, I cringe at the thought of my wedding day all because of Chandra Tarver but so thankful I had a great wedding day due to the owners of our venue, Woodrow Hall, and my amazing ushers and hostesses! We picked the perfect people to be there in the event of a disaster. Here is a list of the “Worst Things That Could Happen to You on Your Wedding Day” and believe me, they happened to my husband and me!

  8. Wedding Planner accepted a tip / token of appreciation even after pre-wedding issues/discussions, low performance on day of wedding and not making our wedding as stress-free as you could and charged
  9. Bible Bearer did not have a Bible
  10. Wedding Officiant/Hostesses did not have flowers on (that were paid for)
  11. Unity sand was in plastic containers that they were originally purchased in, instead of glass containers bride purchased and gave to wedding planner
  12. Buckets of purchased flowers unused
  13. No decor at wedding from wedding planner because she arrived late (although wedding planner was paid to decorate wedding)
  14. Wedding party not introduced at reception
  15. Wedding planner was nasty with Bride’s mother and wedding party
  16. Trusted and paid your wedding planner 7K to execute a perfect day and feel like you didn’t even get 1K worth
  17. Wedding Planner refuses to return any of the 7K she was paid for her sub-par performance?

  She ask people that just knows her to put up reviews.Her work and attitude is very unprofessional.I was a hostess at a wedding in which she arrived 15 minutes before the cermony was to start.She not only was late, she didn"t have the flowers that couple purchased or other items that the couple purchased.She didn't do.important details that the couple asked for to honor their late fathers.The brides father had passed just a few months prior to the wedding. The staff at the venue where the wedding was held had to do the decoration.This lady is a SCAMMER.I wouldn"t allow her to plan a dog wedding.

  Our wedding day was blessed in spite of Chandra Tarver's lack of professionalism. My wedding day was one of the best and most disappointing days in my life. My best memories include (not all inclusive): married my best friend with my family and friends in attendance, picture (and our) perfect venue (shout out to Woodrow Hall in Birmingham, AL) and all but one (Chandra) of the hired and volunteer support performed to their contract and/or spoken agreement and in some cases provide more support than was agreed (shout out to Fredtography). My disappointing memories (not all inclusive): did not see my wedding planner (Chandra) until right before my wedding and having to laugh with my friends/family about what they had to do to help execute the wedding, my wife and I not dancing with our mothers, which was our only living parent, having (to this very day) to look away and get emotion when we see a parent's dance at any wedding now, and remembering, after previous discussions, that Chandra said we would see the importance and value of her efforts during the wedding day. Our wedding was delayed and we had bad transition moments (wedding party not introduced, guest book not available until the Reception, etc.)This review is not out of spite or intended to impact Chandra's pursuit and opportunity for future business but it is intended to let readers know that Chandra's performance during and leading up to our wedding left a lot to be desired and definitely did not warrant her fees or her accepting a tip/token of our appreciation.
