Working with Stephanie (Sonju Photography) is the easiest decision I made while planning my wedding. Stephanie has photographed 2 of my dear friends weddings and my sisters wedding. (I was in all 3) and it was always such an absolute pleasure each time. I have been in many weddings and have seen how photographers work. All of them fall short in comparison. All the details were worked out before my big day. So all I had to do is enjoy each moment. Her and her team make it so effortless. She delivered every shot that I wanted and exceeded my expectations. Not only does she deliver, she makes it fun! Which in my opinion is one of the most important things. I cannot thank Sonju Photography enough for capturing every dreamy moment of my most important day. I would give her a million stars if I could! -

Stephanie was the absolute best wedding photographer I could’ve asked for! She is so professional and efficient but also just a very cool person and really kept us at ease while nailing our shots quickly so that we could get back to celebrating. She is artistic and creative and the pictures came out beautiful! And between her and her assistants we got so many background shots and footage of our day as well. So grateful to her for capturing us so beautifully! She really went above and beyond. -

I am bursting with joy looking at these photos!
Sonju is an incredibly talented photographer and is also as a bonus a kind, thoughtful, attentive, and funny human being.
She photographed our proposal and after getting to experience her energy from behind the camera during our post proposal shoot and seeing her beautiful work I KNEW that she needed to be our wedding photographer. Having good direction from and chemistry with the photographer is so important to get shots that you can treasure forever. And that is exactly what Sonju delivers - treasure.

Sonju Photography is absolutely PHENOMENAL! I cannot recommend her enough. Stephanie is so kind, so great, and so talented! Her timeliness and professionalism are unmatched, and her energy is amazing to be around. She captured each moment of my wedding that I wanted, and she also captured some of the sweetest moments I didn’t know were happening. My husband and I were nervous at being in front of the camera, but just like she did during our engagement photos, she made us feel SO at ease. Working with her was one of the best decisions I made during the wedding process. From the getting ready details and the ceremony to all the way to the reception, she was always there, making us laugh, appreciating our emotion, and reminding us to enjoy every moment. Each shot is magical, and I will truly treasure every picture forever! I couldn’t be happier!!! :) -

It was an absolute dream come true to now own photographs made by Sonju Photography. Her work is amazing and full of emotion. That is not by mistake. I always say “Sonju gets the shot!” and that is because I have fangirled over her work for years now and there are moments etched in my brain from people and events I don’t even know, simply because of her iconic photography. She shot our daughter's senior pictures and braved all my crazy setups AND a monsoon to get brilliant shots of our graduate. Last year, she endured a pandemic to shoot family pics for us on our front lawn. She made our angsty teenagers SMILE! They were so at ease with her and we have the most beautiful portraits of each of them. Now, our wedding day has been documented for eternity and I have yet to look through our album of images without crying. We feel so privileged and overjoyed that she traveled out of state to cover our wedding. And we felt her excitement and intense focus behind the camera that day. She is extremely organized ahead of the event, gathering all the details she needs. This made the wedding day go smoothly and we could actually have fun! Even our friends and family have raved about our album of images. We highly recommend working with her! -

We love Sonju!
Let me start off by saying that I hate taking pictures of myself and have never liked a photo of myself since pretty much birth. I was nervous at the idea of hiring a photographer and wasting money on something I would like. but OMG. When Sonju sent us the sneak peeks after our wedding I loved every. single. picture. I don't know what kind of voodoo magic she used or how she did it! Both her and her assistant were incredible and when I would awkwardly stand there with no idea what to do they helped guide me in posing while somehow still making me look natural. Sonju also was joking with us the whole day which made it very comfortable. Sonju also does whatever necessary to get the shot which I loved! This meant ninja poses, grunts, balancing acts, etc. But it was awesome to know she was dedicated to documenting our day and all its beauty! And don't question the photo booth. Just do it! Trust me! All my guests kept telling me how they LOVED the quality of the photobooth. -

Laura Sent on 11/15/2017From the second we saw Stephanie’s work, we knew she had to be our wedding day photographer, in large part to her “no cheesy poses” rule! We’ve already seen a few images of our wedding day 4 days ago, and all that we see is pure candid joy and happiness...exactly what we wanted. We loved working with sonj as soon as we met her. She makes everything very casual, light, and yet still very professional. She offers everything you could want out of her packages, and we were even lucky enough to book the Juju booth too (see separate review of that amazing little number..) The day of the wedding, as we quickly found out, definitely tends to get a little crazy, and we were so thankful to have sonj directing the photos to make sure everything came out, and came out WELL. She found us some great light and all of my bridesmaids were obsessed with the Sonju grunt haha! They all said how much fun they had hanging with her all day too. It was so nice to work with someone who genuinely loves their job, and it truly shows in her work. -

During the wedding planning process, the hardest part was selecting a photographer. After spending endless hours searching and looking for the perfect person to capture the day, we found Stephanie (she was recommended from a family friend) and that is where all the worries about photography on the big day came to a stop. We knew after our initial consultation, she was PERFECT for our day! And she didn’t disappoint but went above and beyond our expectations!!
She bonds with her clients, and she was so helpful in creating a detailed timeline to go by for the big day. When going on her website and looking over her other shoots, you can’t help but to keep looking at more of her work! Her creativity, professionalism, and overall quality of what she captures truly shows she loves what she does!
The day of the wedding came, she was there with her awesome second photographer Gigi right on time, ready to be a part of the big day. We truly couldn’t have been more pleased and happy with how they worked as a team, captured the most gorgeous shots as we loved to hear the famous grunting noises and seeing them both light up as they were taking the pictures of the whole day. We got ALL of our photos and rights to our pictures and within 2 weeks of our wedding day! We just love looking thru our pictures over and over again. The way the photos captures the details and candid moments are precious memories that makes you relive the day over and over again. Need I say more?! Whatever the case may be you are looking for a photographer (wedding, engagement, family pictures, etc.), there is no need to look any further than Sonju photography.

She made the whole experience for us, stress-free for my husband and myself as well as for our two dogs which we included in our wedding portraits. She has great rates especially for South Florida and our photos turned out amazing. I would highly recommend her and will definitely use her again. Thank you so much Stephanie! :) -

Alexandra Sent on 03/19/2015Stephanie Sonju was the absolute greatest photographer I could have ever dreamed of. She will always bring an assistant with her to make sure they get a shot of every moment. Her pricing is from makeup to afterparty with no hourly time limit, which was awesome so there is no rush. We had many meetings before the event date to discuss timeline, what photos we had to have with which members of our family, etc. The photos came out great and she will give you full rights to the photos so you can get them printed as you choose and do not need to purchase every picture like most photographers do.
