  Great country cover band for a fun time

  The South Western Stars had a great selection of songs. They sound amazing and made for a fun country atmosphere. As part of the gig, they did a line dancing instructional that was really fun. We opted to have them MC the night for us too. All together, they have a great on-stage presence and personality that made the reception lots of fun.
  The band was flexible in accommodating our requests to fulfill our vision and the band leader was a pleasure to work with. She is professional, super nice and her experience is valuable. While we were planning our wedding reception, she was able to give input to help the band and other of the aspects of the party meld perfectly.

  Incredible band, great experience!!

  Carra and the rest of the band are so incredibly talented! They played a wide range of old and new country, and even threw in a few originals! Everyone kept coming up to us just to tell us how much they loved the band! I especially enjoyed the line dancing tutorial that Carra gave, as it got even the most awkward members of my family up out of their chairs and onto the dance floor! Carra was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process, and it took so much weight off my shoulders the day of the reception. I would recommend the South Western Stars to absolutely anyone and everyone in need of a wedding band, or even just check out one of Carra's local shows! I promise, you won't regret it!!😊 Thank you again to Carra and the rest of the band, y'all are amazing!!❤️

  Southwestern Stars MADE our wedding amazing!!!

  This band absolutely MADE our wedding special in every way. Carra and co were professional, helpful, and spent hours with us planning the event. Every song was beautiful and perfectly executed. Beyond that Carra has the voice of an angel. I will never forget walking down the aisle to her voice. Carra and co. (Southwestern stars) are going places and we feel extremely privileged to have been able to have them to make our wedding special. They were incredible and every wedding guest noted their exceptional talent. Thank you Southwestern Stars (Mamma Coal), we will NEVER stop feeling that this most important day was all that more special because of you and your colleagues. Awesome in every way!

  Nothing takes the place of live music and Western Stars will not disappoint!

  South Western Stars was a fabulous addition the wedding! We wanted a versatile band that could play some bluegrass/folk/country music. The wedding was small and intimate and they were able to pair down to exactly what we hoped for! They asked what songs we liked in advance and that was great. The guests had a blast dancing, and it was so much nicer than a DJ - nothing takes the place of live music and they did not disappoint. Mamma Coal is so awesome to work with, very personal and accommodating. I highly recommend!

  Getting Hitched in Tombstone!

  My husband and I put together a little ghost town wedding last year and the finishing touch was finding and booking Carra! We had every last detail planned out, our wedding was only a month or so away and my husband casually mentioned it would be nice to have live music. I told him that if he found someone he liked we’d try to book them, and he came across some of Carra’s videos on YouTube. We reached out and were THRILLED that she was not only available, but worked with our budget and partnered with a world class guitarist! She was so wonderful to work with - things could not have gone any smoother. The big day came and my husband was right, the live music made the reception! Carra added elegance and charm to our wedding, which made it magic and we could not be more grateful! I sincerely hope to work with her again! If you want to elevate your event, she’s a gem!

  Most Incredible Wedding Band EVER

  Mamma Coal and South Western Stars are THE BEST! Hiring Mamma Coal was hands down the best decision I made for my wedding! It's been more than two years since the wedding and my guests still mention how amazing the band was. The line dancing was a big hit! Incredible talent aside, Carra is a lovely, helpful person. She genuinely cared about making her band and music fit our vision for the wedding. Her follow up and professionalism surpassed my expectations. On many occasions, she had suggestions to make the day more special and flow more smoothly. She even acted as an unofficial wedding coordinator in some respects! I cannot say enough glowing things about her. Do not hesitate to hire Mamma Coal and the South Western Stars!
