I couldn't say enough about Kristel and her entire team, especially Bethany. We are from MA/RI area and decided to plan a Destination wedding in the Florida Keys. We were stressed at first especially with figuring out how on earth we'd be able to make this happen from thousands of miles away. Kristel and her team went ABOVE and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, that our timeline met our expectations, that any decor we needed or wanted would be present, plan and run through our rehearsal the night before, and helped calm us down the entire planning process. Kristel even officiated our wedding with a beautiful religious ceremony that exceeded our expectations. If you are in search of an officiant or a day of coordinator/wedding event planner, look no further than Southern Affair. You will NOT be disappointed!! -

Kristel and her team made our entire wedding experience priceless. We hired Southern Affair to be our day of coordinator plus help with set up. About a month from the actual wedding, the team got to work. Contacting and coordinating all the venders I had lined up. I never had to make another phone call, Southern Affair had everything covered. They set up my entire reception and ceremony decor and it looked breathtaking. Even the little things I forgot, the team had a stash ready to be utilized. I would recommend them to everyone. -

Right after our first meeting I knew Kristel would be someone I could easily talk to and rely on, so much so that I immediately booked with her before we even hung up the call and it was the best decision I ever made! Our original wedding was planned for Oct 1, 2022 but was interrupted by Hurricane Ian and even when things were chaotic within the state I still heard from Kristel, constantly checking in and making sure all of my vendors were not only ok, but we’re still going to be present. Unfortunately the venue didn’t have power, which we found out the day before the wedding. Kristel called me and we talked, I cried to her because my heart was broken that our plans were not working, but her reassuring voice and empathetic approach made our hard decision to reschedule, easier. She reminded me that we are going to get everything we’ve planned and hoped for, but even more the second time around. I’m so glad I listened! We got married this past weekend and everything absolutely EXCEEDED all expectations. Kristel was meticulous in planning the schedule and making sure we built in some wiggle room which was much appreciated! I never felt rushed, my opinions were always heard with thoughtful responses that followed, and my day was everything she’s ever promised to me and more! Kristel was not only our coordinator, she stepped in as our photographer when our original photographer completely let us down in every single way, but Kristel picked up all the pieces. Bethany and Lily were also brought to our wedding to help with coordinating and I could’ve have asked for nicer women to help us throughout the day! They were extremely attentive, reassuring, sweet, and just an absolute delight to have with us during the day! I even got pictures from Lily the same night that she took behind the scenes for us! I could go on forever talking about how wonderful these ladies are and after all of this I’ve gained some wonderful friends. DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK WITH SOUTHERN AFFAIR!! You not only have a guaranteed beautiful event, but you leave with one of the BEST, genuine people in your corner. Thank you Kristel and team for such an amazing wedding, it wouldn’t have been the same without you! -

Kristel was incredible to work with as our day of coordinator on our wedding day. She was kind, professional, and easy to communicate with every step of the way. She got in contact with all of our vendors prior to the day to make sure everything was in order for our venue. She walked us seamlessly through our rehearsal and made sure everyone knew what they were doing in an efficient manner the day before the wedding and put me completely at ease on our wedding day. She took care of our entire timeline so everyone knew where to be and what to do on the day. She even had umbrellas and tents when rain appeared surprisingly during our cocktail hour. I would 1000% recommend Kristel to anyone looking for a day of coordinator! Words can not explain the phenomenal work Kristel put into making my day amazing! She exceeded all expectations and remained professional at all times. Our day was perfect thanks to her! -

Kristel with Southern Affair coordinated my wedding on February 26th, 2021, in Nocatee, Florida. Kristel did such an amazing job! My wedding would have been doomed without her.
She was on time, professional, and had great communication during the event as well as during the planning process.
She made sure all of our vendors showed up on time, she kept the DJ in check, made sure all of my guests were happy and having a great time, and most importantly, she made sure my wedding day was the best day I have ever experienced!
She kept my guests engaged with fun games, dancing, and great music suggestions. I could tell she really understood my guests and myself.
I have recommended her and will continue to recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding coordinator!

I never received my photos and it’s been almost 7 months. I have reached out multiple times and have been given the run around. I made a Facebook post noting how unhappy I am with the service and was blocked. Kristel then wrote a message stating, “Lol show the payment and contract,” as if it’s okay to do something for someone and not follow thru. She offered free photography due to a chain of events outside of my control the day of my wedding. I feel very hurt, upset and sad that I don’t have a single photo from my wedding day. I have since been blocked and given no response to any text, call or email sent.
I spent a lot of time and money planning the perfect trip to florida, from TN, to have my dream wedding. She has taken that from meSouthern Affair's reply:
Unfortunately, there's no truth this this individuals review. I was hired as her officiant, not her photographer. Her photographer backed out just before the ceremony leaving them without anyone. As a courtesy, I attempted to find a photographer that may have been available short term to fill the spot and was unfortunately unsuccessful. I also tried finding an officiant for them so that I may have been able to do the photos for them and that too was unsuccessful. Luckily, I had my camera with me and offered to take some photos for them as a gift since no one else came through for them... including the photographer they hired and paid for (which was certainly not me). Moments after the wedding, the groom asked, "So, when should we expect our photos?" I was taken back by his demeanor and respectfully told him that it was my busiest part of the season and I had to take care of my paying and contracted clients first. A week later, I get a nasty message from the groom stating, "I know we didn't pay as much as your other clients, but we deserve our photos." I once again reminded him that he didn't pay anything, and this was a gift since their photographer backed out last minute. Since then, it's been a parade of harassing messages from this individual, her friends, and her "followers" as she claims to be a "social media influencer". I have been threatened, harassed, and bullied relentlessly by these individuals -- all because I didn't give her the gifted photos when she wanted the photos. As I have told her multiple times before, when the photos are available, I will send her the photos that I was doing as a gift even after the hundreds of harassing messages sent by her and her followers.
