This review is provided by the mother of the bride. We booked this venue for an afternoon reception only and it was the only one booked for that day. First, the servers should've been much more attentive the whole time and they were not helpful at all during the cake cutting. Next, double check, triple check, quadruple check your final contract BEFORE signing it and paying the balance owed. Lisa Covington took it upon herself to remove, from the contract, the father-of-the-bride's specially ordered keg of beer. According to an employee, she did it for "her reasons" which had nothing to do with a request from the bride and groom or the bride's parents, nor were we consulted before doing so. Not only did she dodge all questions but made no attempt to rectify the situation. To make matters, worse she confronted the bride at the reception, then promptly disappeared for the rest of the day. The bar staff that remained went out of their way to provide a comprise suitable to all parties. The contract also included horses to be in the field directly across from the reception building but they were not there. The room was decorated nicely and there was plenty of room for all in attendance.
The food was good. Lisa Covington is over-the-top friendly but my advice is to keep it all business when it comes to your transaction. In an attempt to alleviate the same issues for future guests, we brought the matter to the attention of Senior Level Sales and Marketing Personnel. After a quick receipt confirmation and promise to investigate, we have heard nothing since which was 45 days ago.
