I was so pleased to find a beautiful dress from this location. The staff was super kind and professional. I was very pleased with my experience and was sad to see this place go. On the bright side they rebranded into Winsome Brides and I also had a great experience with them as well. -

Amy Sent on 10/13/2011Just to give you a little bit of background: I'm a bride who will be getting married in a little over a year. While I love looking at wedding dresses online and on TV, I didn't want to spend over $1000 on my dress, especially since I was only going to wear it for just one day.
After some research on yelp, I called up the shop owner Laurie and told her "I'm a bride on a budget and I'm trying to look for a dress for about $600 and below. What are the price ranges of your dresses." She was just like, "Actually, most of the dresses in my shop are between $200-$600". I was ecstatic and excited to try on some dresses in the shop with my maid of honor a couple of days after.
We got to the shop around the time when it just opened (on a Saturday around 11am) and we were the only ones in there! We basically had Laurie all to ourselves and she was so sweet and awesome. The first dress I tried on was really pretty but I knew it wasn't the one. We tried on a few more and it even though the dress styles didn't seem to quite suit me, the experience was still fun. Not only was Laurie laid-back and not trying to get in my face to make a sale, she also took the opportunity to say what did and didn't work with my figure. This was especially helpful when it came to finding my style of dress. She even told me that even if we didn't find the dress that day that she normally gets 4-5 new dresses every week so I could always come back another time.
It was starting to look like my dress wasn't there but right at the very end, Laurie had pulled out this one dress I never would have considered. In fact, I just passed over it on the rack without even noticing it. She asked if I wanted to try it on and I thought hey, why not. When I came out in the dress, my maid of honor, Laurie and I were all shocked. Not only was the dress beautiful, but it ended up being THE dress. Just to make sure we weren't impulse buying, I was able to put the dress on hold for 24 hours. I went to Something Blue Bridal Boutique after and just didn't find any dresses that made me feel the same way as the one I found at Sparrow. Plus I missed Laurie's warmness and welcoming personality. So we went back to Sparrow right after Something Blue and put on the dress again. I still kept the dress on hold to sleep on it and show my fiance the next day.
Well, today I showed him the dress and now its sitting in my closet! I ended up getting my Oleg Cassini (probably originally priced at $1000) for $450 and it was in great shape with some minor alterations needed for the bodice. I would totally recommend this place!

User2610038 Sent on 05/16/2016Highly recommend!!! Before coming here, I had been to 2 big chain bridal stores, and one other boutique. At each, I found dresses I liked/really liked, but none that I really loved. I only have 2 months before my wedding (short engagement!), so most places I went, my selection was pretty limited (first time bride, so I had no idea how long it takes to order a dress). When I walked into Sparrow Bridal with my wedding dress entourage (my matron of honor sister-in-law and 2 flower girl nieces), we were warmly greeted by Lindsey. The shop is clean, cute, and well-decorated. Since they are a consignment shop, great new options can come through the door any day. Lindsey was genuine, personable, helpful, listened well to what I was (and wasn't) looking for, and was kind & accommodating to my energetic young nieces. She knows her stuff, and there was ZERO pressure. A couple of the OTHER places I went, you could tell the women were working off commission, and the pressure tactics can be smelled from a mile away...and made me uncomfortable and made me not really want to buy from them. A couple of the women also seemed like they didn't enjoy their job. At Sparrow, however, I didn't even catch a hint of that from Lindsey, who seemed to really enjoy her job, put zero pressure on and wasn't bothered or threatened (in contrast to one of the big chains I went to!) by the fact that I was still considering dresses by other stores. And... Here's the kicker. There were only 2 dresses that were in the style and size range that I was considering. Out of the 2 that I tried on, I LOVED one and quickly realized that was the dress! Based on my experiences at other stores, I had been afraid, given the time constraints, I would have to settle for less than the dress I loved. Not the case! SO glad I held out for the right dress, kept trying and stopped by Sparrow Bridal to see what they have. Give them a try-- you never know! Just like the search for the right spouse, it only takes one!
