  A perfect, beautiful wedding ceremony

  My husband and I got married at St. John United Church of Christ in September of 2018. We had our friend marry us there in a mostly non-religious ceremony- which was our main reason for choosing this church (they let you have whatever type of wedding you want). When we first booked the church, we were working with the church's wedding coordinator at the time, Autumn, who was lovely. About 5 months before our wedding, I tried to get in touch with Autumn, and was told she was no longer with the church. I was informed that now, the pastor's wife was in charge of weddings, and her name was Lisa Raines. I immediately was nervous. All the good reviews I had read were about Autumn! And my dress was sheer in some places- would a pastor's wife be offended by that, and make me cover up? Also, would she still let our friend marry us? Would Lisa be strict about how the ceremony has to go? The nerves kicked in high gear. The first time I spoke with Lisa, however, all of this went away. Lisa Raines is truly one of the kindest, most accepting people I have ever met. She was unbelievably helpful, not at all overbearing, and such a genuine light to be around. Not to mention- this church is absolutely gorgeous. Also, on our wedding day, it was pouring down rain, and we didn't have enough umbrellas for the whole bridal party- so she ran back to the office to get some for us and told us to take them with us. I can't recommend this church enough. You can have any ceremony you want- no strings attached. They have a parking lot for guests, a wonderful separate space for the bridal party, and again- it is SO beautiful (photos don't even do it justice). Our wedding ceremony here was beyond perfect!

  About 3 months before the wedding we decided to have the ceremony at a church. Thankfully the St. John was available! From there we worked with their coordinator, Autumn, who was absolutely fantastic! She answered all 1,000 of my questions. We ended up hiring her to be the ceremony coordinator -- another great decision. We were in such good hands. As for the church, its absolutely stunning. We received so many compliments after the wedding about how beautiful the church was and the best part is, little decoration is needed because its beautiful on its own.

  This church is absolutely stunning! My sister was married in this church in 2014 and I didn't think twice about where I would have my ceremony when we were engaged. The church has so much history. The ceilings have huge archways with beautiful pillars. There is beautiful organ that lines the inside of the church. Autumn is the event coordinate for weddings at the church and she amazing. She is so helpful in any way throughout the planning process. The day of my ceremony I was so stressed until I arrived at the church. I was completely at ease because I knew she had every little detail under control. If you're looking for a beautiful church for your wedding I highly recommend St. John's.

  St. John's was a beautiful church and very convenient for us. We had an out of town wedding and it was difficult to find a church to marry in.
  I thought the price was high for the time alotted. 3 hours total for setup, ceremony and pictures. There were 3 weddings booked my weekend and we did feel a bit rushed.
  For music, you have to have someone sit behind the altar to manually do it.
  There was a parlor house to change in which was nice.
  They required a $500 deposit on top of the $1550 for the wedding.
