We reserved the Ste. Chapelle Winery after only looking at one other winery because we wanted an outdoor wedding and couldn't find other venues in town. We made an appointment to see the place and was taken on a tour by Colleen Shilling (the winery's event coordinator). She explained the fees - $500 for a cleaning deposit that reserves the date and goes toward the total balance of 2100.00. This included use and set up and take down of 4 6-ft banquet tables, 20 60-inch round tables, and 200 white folding chairs (which were of good quality). This also included 2 of their employees to serve wine during the event. They require a minimum purchase of 2 cases (12 bottles) of wine and that you order beer from their list (no keg :( ) ; all other alcohol is prohibited . They also allowed us to use their "bridal suite" which is just a room with a bathroom, nothing special. The cost did not include cleanup. The rental hours are from noon to midnight with a $100.000 fee "for every half-hour or portion past midnight." We were told we could leave our cars and trailer (if we wanted to bring one, which we did) overnight so no one would have to drive drunk which was nice. The wedding was 6/19 and the winery was beautiful although it rained and was very windy (if you pay 500 in advance you can use the banquet room in case of poor weather but it only seats 100). The staff was friendly during the event but prior to the event it was almost impossible to get a hold of Colleen who is rarely at the winery and never answers her phone but does eventually call back if you leave a message. Other than that the venue was nice but a well landscaped backyard would do just as well.
