Stereo Star Band made our wedding unforgettable!

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Stereo Star Band for my wedding, and they were nothing short of spectacular! From the initial contact to the final encore, every interaction was professional, friendly, and accommodating. The band members are incredibly talented, and their performance truly elevated our special day to another level. Many of our guests commented on how fantastic the band was, and I couldn’t agree more.

Recomendamos 100%!

    Fantastic, fun, and talented!

The Stereo Star team are a delight to work with and the musicians are incredibly talented. Our experience with planning from start to finish was seamless. The band plays a variety of music for all guests and can cover music for the ceremony, aperitif, and dancing. The band created a lovely and fun environment and guests were so complimentary. Thank you!!

Played wrong songs for ceremony and messed first dance timing, among many other things...

This band played the wrong songs for the ceremony, played the first dance song during the entrance, and for some reason, did not MC the event, as we had paid for. The groom had to MC the event. They introduced the father daughter dance, then couldn't figure out how to turn the music on, so my father and I just stood on the dance floor for one full minute while they figured out how to play the song. They refused to play when a storm rolled through even though we were under cover and the outlets were zoned for outdoor use.

They didn't even allow us to plug in a an aux cord and use the speakers until the very end of the event. The rest of the band just stood there with their arms crossed instead of finding any solution or doing any sort of entertaining. The cascading errors was not only disruptive to the flow of the event, but it completely messed up the timing of the event, catering, and flow. The venue was zoned correctly and the band did not specify additional requirements other than power and a covered space. This was provided. The contract states that an "act of god" can warrant the band to discontinue playing. This leaves a lot of protection for them, and very little trust for the couple.

The band reimbursed us for the ceremony and MC services, but this was only 630 of the over 4,000 euros that we paid for them to entertain for the evening and keep the event going. this band and the way that they write their contracts is a liability. The money will come and go, but the memories tainted by this band on this very important day of our lives we will never get back. We do not recommend this vendor for any events.

    Stereo Star Band's reply:

Hi Molly, thank you for your response. I'm sorry that this was your perception of the evening. I do want to address your review to provide some clarification. The storm was obviously a huge factor in causing power issues and multiple power outages at the venue. We had the songs for the ceremony, first dance, and entrance prepared and queued on our devices but, as you wanted us to use your iPad, we did. The songs were in the incorrect order on the iPad and, with the last-minute switch, there was some confusion that I'm very sorry for. Regarding the MC, that service was provided and most of the announcements were made. I recognize that, due to the storm, the event became a bit chaotic and a couple announcements were missed while the band tried to sort out how to continue playing with wet equipment – again, our apologies for anything that could have been executed better. We obviously provided a refund for that service out of goodwill. As you know, the father-daughter dance happened after a power cut in the entire building due to the storm. The delay was caused by that power cut and needing to restart the band equipment rather than trying to figure out how to play the song. While I'm sorry that the storm affected your wedding, it was not something that the band could control. The band played for as long as possible until the equipment was saturated due to inadequate cover. Even if plug sockets are designed for outdoor use, not all power or extension cables can be used in standing water and wet speakers are a shock liability. The wet speakers were also the reason we were not able to plug in an aux cable for some time. Still, the musicians who could play without speakers played acoustically while the rest of the band tried to sort out the wet PA and other wet equipment. They were not standing around – water can cause expensive damage to instruments and they were unplugging electrical instruments and drying others off. I assure you that they would have preferred to continue playing rather than trying to salvage equipment. To clarify, the band also did not cancel the performance at any point. They were at the event and performed from the ceremony through the reception until the equipment was wet enough that it became a fire/shock hazard. At that point, the musicians performed acoustically and then DJ'd until 2am with one of the speakers that they managed to dry out. I'm very sorry that this storm caused so many disruptions and issues with the power. We certainly would have preferred for the night to go differently and the band did everything they could to ensure entertainment was provided and that the storm didn't ruin the night. I'm sorry that you see this differently and our apologies if there's anything more we could have done. We wish you all the best!
