  Worth every penny

  Seth and his team were wonderful to work with for our wedding. We selected the photograph and video package for 10 hours, and we also got an engagement shoot where we got to meet him before the big day. Seth brought another photographer, an assistant, and a videographer to the wedding, and we know that every detail of our day was recorded beautifully. Seth was open to our requests about what we were looking for, and he and his team were friendly, quick, and completely professional on the wedding day. They took their time getting the perfect shots. We haven't yet received all the photos and videos, but the initial "sneak peek" photos came through and they are amazing. While there may be photography packages out there that are less expensive, Strands of Light is worth every penny if you want every photo to be frame-worthy and gorgeous.

  Amazingly talented team!

  We're so glad we partnered with Seth at Strands of Light for our wedding photos! We chose him because we liked the aesthetic of his gallery and the flexibility of his photo/video packages. We had such a fun time doing our photos both for our engagement shoot and for our wedding. When we ran behind on the big day, Seth reassured us and kept us on task. The photos we've received so far are gorgeous! Our friends and family can't stop complimenting them.

  Worth Every Penny and Then Some

  The team at Strands of Light are hands-down, phenomenal and I am so grateful for how they captured our wedding day. Our wedding was smack-dab in the middle of the pandemic so most of our plans went out the window. We held our very tiny wedding in our backyard and made the best of it — and the photos are spectacular. Seth was so great during the shifts in planning and our day-of shooter, Kylee, was so professional and easy going. I didn't notice her shooting at all during the ceremony, and during portraits and our little post-ceremony shoot, she was efficient, creative, and relaxed the whole time which is exactly the vibe you want at your wedding. Strands of Light pricing is a bit higher than average, but they capture and produce top-quality photography. Nothing feels contrived or cookie-cutter. If you're looking for romantic photos that capture the soul of your big day, they are worth every single penny. Seth's editing style is beautiful — striking yet soft, timeless with a bit of edge. I will cherish these photos forever.

  Exactly what we were looking for!

  Seth was wonderful to work with and helped us to capture beautiful images of our special day. Seth's portfolio stood out to us as we were looking for a photographer because he seemed to have an eye for non-traditional/creative shots while still being capable of the more standard wedding photos. We also were also intrigued by his ability to shoot in low-light situations, since out wedding was going to be dimly lit and indoors. It also didn't hurt that he offers very competitive rates for the quality he delivers.
  
  We got everything we asked for and more. Seth was responsive and attentive. He made himself available to tour the venue and another location for pre-wedding photos. He accommodated all of our requests while also offering his expert opinion based on his experience. The photos came back looking great - our families have been loving reliving the evening through Seth's efforts!

  5 Stars Across the Board...and Beyond :)

  Hiring Strands of Light for do our videography was one of THE BEST decisions we made for our wedding. Seth is super communicative and a top-notch professional. He responds very quickly to emails (sometimes within minutes) and has a fantastic problem solving attitude. There are many creative professionals out there who have talent but are difficult to work with, Seth is one of those rare gems who has immense creative vision AND is incredibly personable.
  
  Seth also goes above and beyond. Not only did he come early to setup and with a ton of great shot ideas, he somehow found time to help resolve a bunch of hiccups that cropped up behind the scenes. After the wedding, several groomsmen and bridesmaids told me how he'd helped the DJ set up sound properly, found the venue coordinator to straighten out a locked door snafu, and generally saved the day in a million tiny ways. I had no idea lot of these things had happened day-of - he just stepped in and did it. Long story short...he does everything he can to make your day as perfect as possible.
  
  On top of all that, the highlight reel he sent us was BEAUTIFUL. I literally thought that was the final video, that's how good it was (can't imagine how great the final video will be considering how amazing the highlight reel is!) For anybody who is debating whether you should hire Seth - DO IT. Every penny was worth it.

  Five hundred stars

  Seth was absolutely incredible. Not only does he have a great eye for where and when to capture the perfect picture, he also was just fun to hang out with. My husband and I were initially a little nervous in front of the camera but Seth made us feel very comfortable. Our photos are beautiful and we couldn't possibly be happier. We very highly recommend Strands of Light!

  Seth is great

  We hired Seth for both our engagement shoot and our wedding this past June. He is a wonderful photographer with a great personality (which was a nice bonus) and we loved working with him. He really cares about his clients and it is very obvious in his work. The pictures turned out beautiful. He is very calm and collected. He remained very calm when I was freaking out about being late to the first look and some other timeline issues which are inevitable on your wedding. We cannot recommend him enough.

  We hired Seth for both our engagement shoot and our wedding this past June. He is a wonderful photographer with a great personality (which was a nice bonus) and we loved working with him.   Freaking WOW

  Seth absolutely CRUSHED IT on our wedding! He and his team Showed up to handle photo and video for our big day, and we can not stop watching the video - like, at all.
  
  I can't emphasize just how nice it was to have a company that did both. We didn't have to worry about coordinating with 2 different companies - it was all under one company and that took the weight off of us in so many ways.
  
  Seth was incredibly responsive on emails calls and texts leading up to the wedding day. We truly didn't have to worry about anything in regards to photo and video.

  Seth and Ian are phenomenal at what they do! My fiance and I recently had our engagement photos taken and we received our proofs within a week's time. Both Seth and Ian were tremendously responsive and willing to handle any of our questions. The day we went to shoot our photos the weather was cloudy and a little wet, but Ian was still able to create some really beautiful shots. All in all, we are so happy with our decision to work with Strands of Light and we're excited to work with this team for our upcoming wedding in 2018!

  Seth and Ian are phenomenal at what they do! My fiance and I recently had our engagement photos taken and we received our proofs within a week's time.   I can't say enough great things about Seth and his team! I had to find a photographer just a few months before my wedding due to some unexpected circumstances. Seth was empathetic to our situation and went beyond the call of duty to help us out. He was extremely responsive from the beginning, all the way through the wedding, and even afterwards, which I found was rare among vendors! The communication was excellent and the customer service was absolutely seamless. Seth answered every question I had without hesitation. He was professional, friendly, and fun, and he helped us (two people who are not photogenic whatsoever) relax and take beautiful pictures!
  
  The pictures that Seth delivered (in a very short turnaround time!) are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. I couldn't possibly be happier with pictures of my wedding day. They are classic and elegant, and I feel like they completely capture my husband and I as a couple. Also, a photographer was there to capture every moment imaginable, often without being noticed.   We chose Strands of Light as our photographer after seeing examples of their work online. We loved the photos and editing style. Leading up to the wedding, everything was seamless. Seth was sure to answer any questions or concerns that I had in a timely manner. I never once had to worry about anything.   I hired Seth to photograph my wedding..... and man, this guy knows what he’s doing. Excellent communication prior to the date, prompt on arrival, very diligent in his organization of my motley crew of a wedding party, and fast turnaround on the photos. HIGHLY recommended.

Not only was Seth so responsive and easy to work with, he is so customer oriented, and was able to help me with specific photo treatment that I needed. The shoot was done in WA by Jacki, also another amazing photographer to work with. She made it so fun and relaxing for us throughout the shoot that I would do it all over again.   Seth did our engagement photos and we could not be happier with the result! I love unique photography and Seth is incredibly talented in using natural light and making moments look extra special. When I first talked to Seth I told him that we didn't want cliche engagement photos and although we met in DC we didn't want to do the typical monument photoshoot. He immediately suggested some great ideas for doing our photos a more nature based setting and he ended up having us shoot in a beautiful park in MD. The day of our engagement shoot was the HOTTEST day of the summer! Despite the sweat, humidity and heat Seth did an amazing job capturing some great moments and still made us look great. He even dealt with our two hyperactive dogs that we brought along with us to get into a photo or two. I highly recommend Seth if you are looking for a creative eye and photos that are unique and beautiful!

  I could not be happier about having Seth photograph our wedding. I contacted him a little under a year before the wedding and he was very quick to respond and confirm the date. Over the months leading up to the wedding, Seth was so patient and understanding of how bad I was at keeping in contact and following deadlines. He was very helpful in reminding be of when I needed to finish filling out the forms he'd sent. The day of our wedding, someone hit his rental car and he STILL showed up ready to go. Because of the distance, my husband and I hadn't met him until the wedding day. But I felt like I'd known him for ages! We are not really photo people (didn't even get engagement photos) so we definitely didn't have any idea what we were doing. Seth made us feel comfortable and we had so much fun. He truly went above and beyond for our wedding and I am more than grateful for everything he did. I HIGHLY recommend Seth and if you are lucky enough to get him for your wedding, then congrats to you!! :)

  Where to begin... We are beyond happy with our wedding pictures! Seth is an amazing photographer. Not only does the quality of his work show through the pictures (which by the way, perfectly captured our day!), but he is also very professional to work with. When I first came across Seth, I was frantic because our day was right around the corner and I was out of town. He was so flexible with us from day 1 and made himself available whenever we had any questions, from Face-timing while in different time zones to driving over an hour to check out our venue with us so we could be comfortable when the day arrived. He has a wonderful laid back personality that makes you feel at ease while he's shooting. We are kind of a shy couple in front of a camera so this was a huge plus for us. He was very accommodating of our requests and also offered great insight with different poses we should try. He met me at the salon the morning of our wedding to take some prep shots and his etiquette was so wonderful that we couldn't even notice he was there! The salon was very impressed and was sure to let me know this because he was very good about not inconveniencing anyone around. My husband and I have very big families so I was a worried about getting all of our shots done in a timely fashion but Seth was able to wrangle everyone and keep things orderly and we didn't have to worry about a thing! We love his unique style and it fit perfectly with our personality. We are very pleased that we chose him to work with and would not have changed a thing. We highly recommend him without hesitation!
