  Phenominal service and amazing food

  My husband and I worked with Sugarsnap to cater our June 1, 2024 wedding. From the start they were professional and responsive, guiding us as we made our menu choices. They have diverse offerings, including apps/meals for various dietary restrictions and food allergies. They provided a tasting for our passed apps and our full food menu which made us feel so confident in our chosen menu!
  
  The day of the event they were amazing! The staff was friendly and fun and made sure apps were passed to all guests and no one went hungry. We went with family style dinner and they did a great job! Our guests raved about the food. We also served assorted desserts and late night mac and cheese which was a huge hit!
  
  One of my favorite touches was that after the ceremony, they had prepared a plate of apps for my husband and I to enjoy before we joined cocktail hour. This allowed us to socialize and kept us fed on a busy day!

  Wonderful food and service

  Sugarsnap provided the food for my daughters wedding at the Barn at Smugglers’ Notch. We had a spread of local veggies and cheese for hors d’oeuvres. Dinner was buffet style with 3 entrees so it was fun to taste a little of everything. The food and service was outstanding. The cake was beautiful. Kiddos to Kristen Beaver and her team.

  Great Wedding Day Oct 2 2021

  I just had my daughters wedding in Vermont, October 2nd 2021. If you are catering a wedding, I highly recommend this company. The food was amazing. The staff was courteous, professional, and highly skilled with incredible energy, timeliness, and a fabulous attention to detail. The leader of the group was Kristen Beaver and this girl was spot on in regards to every facet of the day, from the tasting to the cleanup at the end. Total pros. Each member of the team was impeccably attired, friendly, and all over every aspect of the party. No shortfalls, no issues. And as the father of the bride, I got to enjoy my day knowing I did not have to worry about my guests being properly cared for. These people are quite frankly the best catering team I have ever seen and I highly recommend them. Their prices are fair and reasonable, they have many options so you definitely have a variety of ranges depending on your budget and preferences. And they will walk you through everything in a patient and understanding way. Fabulous company and great people

  Amazing Food and Service

  Sugarsnap was really easy to work with, giving us great options (including vegan options for my husband and some friends). I was too anxious to eat at the reception, so they sent me back to our room with leftovers and they were just as delicious cold. We got so many compliments from the guests on the quality of the food. Service went smoothly, too which kept everything right on track. I would recommend them whole heartedly.

  Incredible Experience with Sugarsnap!

  Sugarsnap was an incredible choice for catering and bar for our wedding weekend. We worked specifically with Kristen Beaver who was hands-down the best possible individual we could have ever hoped for to help coordinate our wedding day. From numerous e-mails and phone calls to accommodating multiple tastings due to my wife’s food allergies, Kristen was the ultimate professional and kept us at ease as we were planning the wedding ourselves from out of state.
  
  Kristen also served as the coordinator and point person for all of our vendors throughout the day and took charge when needed, checking in with us only when necessary. She was kind, flexible, calming, and incredibly organized - leaving us feeling confident even when the weather forecasts changed by the second. It was looking doubtful that we’d be able to have the outdoor wedding ceremony we had always dreamed of, but Kristen suggested we wait out the weather, and sure enough, we were able to get married outside with a beautiful view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains in the background.
  
  In spite of all of the weather, Sugarsnap did a fantastic job moving our planned outdoor cocktail hour inside quickly and efficiently, wiped down the chairs several times after each downpour, and even brought in appetizers and drinks to our wedding party when our post-ceremony photo shoot was taking longer than expected. We opted for a family style meal and the food and service were outstanding. We received so many compliments on the food and bar service and guests are still talking about it today. We so wish we could go back and re-experience our day.

  Yummy Food

  We had Sugarsnap cater our wedding at ECHO and the food was delicious! Our guests were raving about it. Their staff was polite and a pleasure to work with. Kristen helped us with all the details from selecting the food to planning our setup at ECHO. She was always willing to make any changes we wanted without any hesitation. Overall, a great company to work with.

  I can't say enough about how amazing Sugar Snap is. They catered our May 2017 wedding at the Barn at Smuggs and it was phenomenal! They were a pleasure to work with and there food is so tasty. Not to mention the presentation of the food on the wedding day and professionalism of the staff was superb. A lot of brides say that they never eat at their wedding because they are so busy mingling, but I made a point to enjoy all the food because I knew just how incredible it was going to be. Book Sugar Snap! They are the best!

  Going with Sugarsnap (and working with Abbey) made our "stress-free" casual brunch wedding actually free of stress! The food was delicious, every single person from Sugarsnap was friendly, and everything happened just as discussed and planned for. Our guests did not stop raving about the apple fritters, and when they drunk the bar dry Sugarsnap was able to re-stock it. Our wedding would not have been the same without them, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about the whole team.

  Abbey and her team at Sugarsnap went above and beyond for our wedding. It was everything we hoped for and more. Abbey was at our venue the day before to make sure everything was to our liking. Sugarsnap catered and the comments from the guests all included "best wedding reception food we have ever had!" The guests came from Kentucky, Maryland, Illinois, Kansas, Connecticut, Indiana, Vermont, and Massachusetts. Everyone agreed the food and drinks were perfect. Our daughter and her husband had an extensive list of appetizers, entrees, and drinks from which to choose. The five friendly and competent servers did an exceptional job making sure everything went smoothly. My husband and I were very happy with the catering job Sugarsnap did and we would highly recommend this group for any catering needs.

  Sugarsnap was amazing to work with. They really helped make our wedding everything we'd imagined. We came across some budgeting snags early on but the owner, Abbey Duke, was incredibly helpful and took over our event personally so she could sit down with us and work out how we could work together to get everything we wanted but stay within our budget. She basically told us she wanted to make sure we stayed within budget but didn't have to sacrifice having our wedding be just how we'd envisioned it. The presentation at the tables was beautiful and it was so nice how much Sugarsnap took care of, there were so many little things they made sure we didn't need to think about. I've gotten so many comments from attendees about how incredible the brisket entree we had was and many have said it was by far the best food they've had at a wedding/large event like that. They did a great job and if I ever have to plan a big party like that again I'll definitely talk to Sugarsnap first.
  
  To give an idea of what we got for the price listed below Sugarsnap set up for us: An open bar, champagne toast, artisan cheese spread during the cocktail hour, plated dinner (goat cheese/blueberry salad with raspberry dressing followed by beef brisket with roasted fingerling potatoes and seasonal veggies), followed up by late night snacks (chicken teriyaki sliders, pulled pork sliders, mac and cheese bites). Our headcount ended up around 80+/-. Personally I think it was an amazing value and loved that we were able to work out having an open bar so we didn't need to worry about telling people to bring cash or keep track of tabs - the whole thing was just so easy and went off without a hitch :)

  Delicious food

  I didn't think I'd be able to afford Sugarsnap, to be honest, but they worked with me to put together something within my budget that somehow still managed to meet all of our wants and needs! The food was delicious and we got a lot of great feedback about it.

  Kristen and her team were amazing. Easy to contact, fast response. Menu had many options and what we picked was delicious! Great service in the wedding day.

  Sugarsnap provided the bar services for our wedding. They worked with us to use local Vermont companies to stock the bar and created fun stations outside of just the bar. Amazing set up and service! We worked with Abby leading up to the wedding. She was always responsive, helpful, and incredible at using our ideas to create amazing stations for the event. We had a hydration station for self-service water, iced tea, and limeade. There was also a cider bar with cider donuts and hot toddies. The staff working the event were friendly and communicative throughout the night.

  Sugarsnap makes the best food in the entire state of Vermont - by far! It is 100% worth the price!
  The events coordinator could be a little more responsive, and forgot to tell us some important details until the last minute. They have a million different options to choose from, but they are not terribly flexible about going "off menu", so you really do have to pick something that they already offer. Also, the person they contracted with to make our cake delivered something that looked nothing like the picture we sent her. It was phenomenally delicious, but not much to look at - it was for the best that we didn't care that much about the cake-cutting ceremony.
  Bottom line: If I had to do it all over, I wouldn't change anything. I have my complaints, but it was all completely worth it for the food they made. Our guests are still telling us how delicious everything was.
