The team at Summer House are amazing and so is the venue! The venue is outstanding and the team at Summer House were so incredibly helpful. They were with me from the beginning to the very end when the lights went off. They eased all of my nervousness. They just went above and beyond. My son’s engagement party was COLLOSAL and the team at Summer House took such great care that I was able to relax and throughly enjoy the party. The venue has so much room and really has a New York venue kind of vibe. Our guests were amazed but most importantly, my son and his fiancee were thrilled!!!! Thanks so much, Summer House, for giving us an event and experience that was television worthy!!!!Summer House's reply:

We rented the roof top for our Rehearsal Dinner for a Saturday night and had the best experience. All of the staff we dealt with at Summer House Realty were professional, friendly, and responsive. Ashley Hogan was our main point of contact and she went out of her way to make sure everything was scheduled and set up as we asked for. We will absolutely be using this venue in the future and 100% recommend for a gathering.Summer House's reply:

The venue was beautiful and the perfect size for my wedding reception. We set up the food and tables downstairs and then continued the party on the rooftop! The sound system was so good I didn't even need to hire a DJ! Amazing atmosphere, great area - so close to downtown Fernandina. The venue coordinator (Ashley) was so easy to work with and extremely accommodating. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! -

Celebrated my 40th on the terrace
I used the terrace at Summer House Realty’s building on Ash and I got so many compliments on how beautiful the space was! As soon as I saw it myself I was wowed and so glad I picked it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My party turned out so memorable!! I definitely recommend this place as a party venue!Summer House's reply:

Don't waste your money
They e-mailed a week before the wedding & told us we could no longer cancel, only reschedule. We would get NO refund. As the groom is active duty military, rescheduling was impossible. They did everything they could to convince us to just cancel the wedding so they could just keep our money. We went to look at the venue one more time the week before the wedding. All they did was tell us we couldn't do this & we couldn't do that. We managed to have the wedding, but 4 days later we were told they were keeping $125 of our deposit for some unspecified damage. When we asked what exactly the damage was & why it took 4 days for them to notice it, we were sent an unspecified picture of what looked like a chip in the paint. It certainly wasn't worth $125.Summer House's reply:
We are so sorry to see this review. Please send over to us where you requested to cancel as we do not have ANY correspondence from you about this in our records. We would have been happy to have her move her date however when our manager called the bride and mentioned moving it as others successfully have, the bride said she absolutely wanted to keep it on the same day as she had guests coming to town already. We were told by the bride that it was her 'dream wedding' and that she had a wonderful experience. We were happy to accommodate all previews and were available to walk through with the bridal party for planning- yes, it is impossible to move the kitchen island without a forklift and there is no smoking on the rooftop or multiple adults on the bedswing for safety measures- this is in our signed agreement. We apologize for any inconvenience. The damage was noticed after the weekend when we were back in the office- a 'chunk' of wood was taken out of the trim next to the elevator- we received a quote from the handyman and that was the quote he gave us. It is the purpose of a Damage Deposit, for damage. We are assuming it was hit when people were moving chairs from the upstairs to the downstairs. It is unattractive and not a 'normal wear and tear' and it is unfortunate someone bumped it. We are more than happy to have a call to discuss. It is our goal that our clients have an amazing and safe experience- we would greatly appreciate if you reconsider your review. Again, we are so thankful the bridal party had a wonderful wedding and experience- cheers to many more happy memories. -
