  Intimate wedding accommodation and reception location!

  My wife and I couldn't have been happier with the location- Sunset Beach is absolutely beautiful. We wanted a stress free wedding where the groomsmen wear Hawaiian shirts and the bridesmaids could wear sundresses (not David Bridal crap that they will only wear once)! We held the reception in the courtyard, which was perfect. We had about 60 people attend the wedding and reception, while about 50 were staying on site at the Sunset Inn. The property has 13 different cottages and rooms that surround two large courtyards with gas grills and outdoor showers. The property manager, Sandra, was super helpful in getting all of our guests checked in and even gave them all welcome drinks when they arrived. We opted to have a food truck pull up to cater the reception, which was stress free and everyone was able to order what they wanted, and it was super fresh! I highly recommend this location for a destination wedding and hope to go back for out anniversary next year!

  The Sunset Inn & Cottages was absolutely perfect for my wedding and rehearsal dinner. I got married over Labor Day weekend and we rented the entire property for our family and friends. Laurie and Michele were absolutely amazing when it came to dealing with our every need. I wasn't sure what to do for my rehearsal dinner at the beach and Laurie was kind enough to suggest the Surf and Turf Food Truck for our event, which was perfect. My husband and I stayed in the Lookout for the weekend and it was charming, a ton of room, and awesome views of the gulf. Every cottage and room on the property is unique and adorable, you feel like you want to just move in! My friends and family can not wait to return. Truly I could not have asked for a better place to spend my wedding weekend!

  My partner and I fell in love with Sunset Beach on our first visit. We were so pleased to find that Sunset Inn and Cottages was directly in front of that beach and the gazebo where we planned our wedding and reception. Laurie and Michelle were fantastic! They provided us with lots of local details, connection to wedding service providers and were very flexible with our plans which changed several times. They were responsive, warm and easy to work with. Their accommodations are top notch, comfortable and perfect for a beach get away. We are looking forward to many future return visits to an absolutely beautiful location and to our Sunset "home away from home."

  Sunset Inn and Cottages is amazing! It is so beautiful, peaceful, and quaint! The owners are awesome. They will do anything in their power to ensure your experience with them is the best it can be! It is a 30 second walk from the Inn to gorgeous Sunset Beach! The wedding couple gets to stay in the Penthouse, which is so cool! It’s a great place to watch the beautiful sunsets and get a glimpse of the sparkling gulf right across the street. Then there are 6 Inn rooms and 6 cottages that are so inviting, adorable, and cozy, and are perfect for the wedding guests. This is an amazing place for a romantic getaway or for family and friends to get together! I got married on Sunset Beach (across from the Inn). My family and friends filled up the whole place. They all agreed that ours was the best wedding they’d ever been to! The Inn has two court yards and there is a nice pavilion on the beach. Either place is perfect for the wedding reception. I can’t even begin to explain how much the owners, Laurie and Michele, helped us with planning the wedding, they definitely went above and beyond! They were a huge part of making my wedding so successful and the best time of my life! I can’t dream of a better place for a wedding! We go back and visit every 6 months!

  Overall, we could not have picked a more beautiful place for our wedding reception. There was plently of room for our guests in the courtyard next to the Inn. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and comfortable. The proximity to the beach cannot be beat, which was very nice for our guests spending the weekend with us. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a low key kind of reception!

It is definitely a different experience than going to a large hotel, where you could be one of 5 wedding couples getting married that day. It is definitely more private and when the entire property is booked, it is nice that you have two courtyards for guests to spread out and enjoy.   We stayed at Sunset Inn & Cottages and held our reception in the courtyard. You could tell the Inn was old but was remodeled beautifully. There are two courtyards that we spent most of our time in. We held the reception in the courtyard by the Inn, we rented tables, chairs and a tent, but honestly it was so nice we could have done without renting those. We had a few hiccups in the beginning with some miscommunication on where the reception would be held but in the end everything was perfect. I would definitely stay there again.
