  Splendid personality and knows her stuff!

  Susan was a beautiful addition to our wedding. She was able to learn a variety of musical pieces in a timely manner and also perform the pieces just as we had envisioned. She is fairly priced, over delivers in value, and we would definitely hire her for musical performances again in the future! Thanks again, Susan.

  An incredible artist

  We found Susan at the last minute and we are so glad we did. She was incredible to work with and rolled with our crazy ideas with ease. We gave her an entirely non-traditional list of music and she performed it with grace and ease. Our guests were impressed and we were moved. I would have to write a novel about all the incredible work she did for us. If you are looking for a true artist for your wedding, hire Susan.

  An Answer to Prayer!

  *Long review, but worth it!
  
  Let me start by saying that my now-husband and I went through a super tricky time trying to find a pianist and vocalist for our wedding. We pursued several musicians who, for various reasons, were unable to accommodate us (one was already scheduled to perform at a baptism service, one was going to be on vacation on our wedding day, one was moving, one fell and hit her head on a car and suffered a brain injury, and another injured his wrist!).
  
  With exactly 6 weeks remaining until our wedding day, we desperately reached out to a family friend whom we trusted to give a talented recommendation.
  
  His recommendation was Susan Johnson.
  
  Let me point out that there are people who can play instruments (and have no clue how to read sheet music), and then there are musicians who breathe, read, feel, and perform music. Susan is the latter, and was an answer to prayer.
  
  My husband and I had many expectations for the musician we would hire for our wedding day. These expectations included playing prelude music, playing a special processional, playing and singing two worship songs with the congregation, playing and singing a solo during communion and the lighting of the unity candle, and playing the recessional. In my opinion, that was a lot for any musician to learn and practice in only six weeks!
  
  Additionally, our special processional song was a version of “In Christ Alone” for which there is no sheet music! I was desperate to find a pianist who could listen to the rendition of “In Christ Alone” I found and loved on youtube, and play it pretty much note-for-note. We were all a little daunted by the task, but Susan was able to listen to the youtube recording and transcribe it into sheet music to play at our wedding. I was blown away by how close it sounded to the original that I found on youtube, and could NOT be happier with how it turned out!
  
  Susan met all our expectations. She is super talented, dependable, knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating, and positive. She knows a piano inside and out, and has a truly lovely voice. Her talent and serving heart are definitely God-given, and if any desperate bride were to ask me for a recommendation for a musician, Susan Johnson would be it.
  
  At your wedding, don’t settle. The musician significantly paints the feeling of your ceremony, and it’s just not worth it to waste time looking any further than Susan. I promise, you will not regret it! ^_^

  Wedding ceremony

  Susan made our wedding ceremony complete. When we started to plan our ceremony, we were not sure where to start. Susan provided us with a play list with a wide range of songs to go with a variety of styles and sentiments. She not only played songs from her play list, but was also willing to learn a couple of songs she had never done before. She performed them beautifully.   Susan was fantastic to work with. With little direction, she knew exactly what we wanted and executed beautifully. Would highly recommend Susan for anything musical.

  Music is incredibly important due to its emotional connection with the listener. It sets the mood. Most can probably relate to experiencing an amateur performance, where you almost or do cringe in your seat, because the singing is maybe a bit off-key or there are mistakes in the instrumental. You won’t experience anything amateur with Susan. She will give you that perfect balance of professional and personal. She has a servant heart, and her attitude and competency are such to serve and deliver to her listeners a flawless performance with perfect attention to detail. She is a professional performer, and she invites the listeners in to the music, effortlessly and flawlessly.
  I remember my wedding as if yesterday, and especially the beautiful music, with Susan singing and playing the piano. My fiancé and I had carefully chosen our songs, and I knew from experience that Susan would deliver a beautiful and meaningful performance, and she did. She delivered a flawless service, with grace and beauty. It was one more thing I didn’t have to worry about that weekend or that day.

  Sweet Music, Sweet Memories

  It was such a blessing to have Susan be a part of our Big Day. With so many parts that make up a wedding celebration, knowing that Susan was there to help us make music decisons and then have her make them all happen in such a beautiful way was invaluable.

  Wedding pianist

  Susan was delightful to work with and eased me and my husbands process of selecting music for our wedding. Susan was collaborative and provided helpful guidance when selecting our wedding music but was also very flexible. She was professional and timely in her responses and with attending our rehearsal and wedding day.
