  Amazing Cake and Wonderful to Work With

  I can't say enough great things about Bonnie at Sweet Surrender Bakery. She was so delightful to work with -- super organized, accommodating, fair pricing and so tuned in to what I wanted for my cake. When we went for our tasting, I didn't love the texture of the frosting sample and so I asked her about it -- I was only able to give her an idea and some examples of what I wanted it to be -- not only did she make a special sample for me to try, but it was PERFECT. She also helped me decide how to decorate the cake (again only with some photos and a short description) and she exceeded my expectations; the cake was gorgeous. She was so nice about everything, and had everything we needed -- plate rental, delivery, set up -- she does it personally so there was zero worry about the cake on the day.
  
  About 2 months before the wedding I also decided to add a cookie favor table -- sort of last minute, and I needed about 600 assorted mini cookies. Not a problem, Bonnie had an estimate over to me in a day, and again, super reasonable and included plate rental and set up -- it was so cute! Absolutely everyone loved it!!
  
  Bonnie is the best to work with -- no stress, responsive, organized, flexible, but most importantly super talented with delicious and beautiful cakes and desserts -- you will not regret working with her!!

  Fantastic wedding bakery

  Bonnie was absolutely fantastic to work with!!!! She made our wedding desserts and they were fantastic. We did cookies and bars, creme puffs and eclairs and they were devoured by our guests! Everything was fantastic and she was wonderful and easy to work with!

  Highly recommend!

  I highly recommend Bonnie at Sweet Surrender Bakery. We chose three different flavors for our wedding cake and they were all delicious and looked beautiful! We received many compliments from our guests about how great the cake tasted. We also had one guest with a soy allergy and Bonnie was able to make a soy free cupcake just for that guest. She was so accommodating and wonderful to work with!

  AMAZING! Bonnie is amazing to work with! We went for our tasting and we couldn't decide between the 4 flavors we wanted to try so we got them all! The cake and cupcakes were amazing! Tasted just like it did when we went for our tasting. Highly recommend!

  This was the only vendor we even looked at. Their prices were way below the competitors, and the cake was absolutely delicious! They gave us exactly what we wanted for decoration, they gave us two different flavors, they delivered, and we got compliments from dozens of guests. This is not your typical wedding cake- it's moist, tasty, and nobody scraped off the frosting.

  This was the only vendor we even looked at. Their prices were way below the competitors, and the cake was absolutely delicious! They gave us exactly what we wanted for decoration, they gave us two different flavors, they delivered, and we got compliments from dozens of guests.   I can’t reccomend Bonnie enough. We ordered apple crisp for our rehearsal dinner (which I forgot to delegate someone to pick up...she saved the day by contacting the venue and making sure it got to us). That was the best apple crisp I think we have ever had. She also made our wedding cake which was beautiful and delicious. Thank you Bonnie!

I was one of those vague, indecisive brides, and with the little direction I gave her, she was able to deliver an absolutely gorgeous and delicious four tier wedding cake with flowers that matched the rest of our decor. We had a couple of different flavors, so our guests were able to satisfy their chocolate truffle cravings or raspberry fix (also had a backup cake to feed an extra 40 people). During our tasting, I asked if she could prepare a banana cream pie for my mom's birthday--her favorite. It was out-of-this-world good and came at a good price. Thank you, Bonnie!

  For our wedding we wanted a little 8" cake to display and cut, but then a bunch of mini desserts for guests, and Bonnie's work was incredibly delicious!! We had mini pastry including cannoli donuts and eclairs, as well as mini cupcakes and lemon bars and maple bars. I honestly wish we doubled the dessert because everyone DEVOURED it. We got so many compliments, and our cake was to die for! We are not usually "cake people" but it was sooooo good, i almost wish we had gone the traditional route. Our little cutting cake was chocolate, with a raspberry preserve layer and white buttercream on the outside. OM NOM NOM...so so delicious and moist and didn't have any of the terrible 'wedding cake' qualities we all fear. Bonnie's pricing is also a total steal. Highly recommend!

  Bonnie made my absolutely perfect wedding cake. Many of our guests told us it was the best cake they have ever had at a wedding... it certainly was for us!   Cake and cupcakes were delicious! And looked fantastic! Everything we could have wanted! Our guests devoured all of them! We also ordered the peanut butter cheesecake and a blueberry pie and they were great as well. Sweet surrender is highly recommended!

  We ordered the Lemon Raspberry cake with butter cream frosting. The cake tasted amazing. It was beautifully decorated and looked as good as it tasted. It was very affordable. Bonnie was easy to work with and responded to emails quickly.

  Bonnie is the pastry chef and owner at Sweet Surrender Bakery. She is very professional and accommodating. We aren't from the area, so I had to do everything with her through email. She answered my questions quickly and was able to do almost anything I asked her to do. I sent her photos of cakes that I liked and made a delicious wedding cake for us. She also made my rehearsal dinner cake which was an ice cream cake! Also very delicious.

  My husband and I were pretty last minute with getting our cake. It was no problem, though. Bonnie was super accommodating and easy to work with. Her cakes are AMAZING. And then price is right! We definitely recommend Bonnie and Sweet Surrender Bakery!

We had started considering venues the year before and knew that we wanted to be married within the Okemo Valley region since my husband Chris’ family annually spends a week during the summer in between Lake Rescue and Lake Pauline for the past 30 years. Chris and I had been frequenting Sweet Surrender bakery for the previous 7 years when vacationing and we always enjoyed the various pastries and assortment of cookies offered and the freshly-brewed Green Mountain coffee. In addition the staff members had always been knowledgeable and willing to help.\r\n\r\nEveryone kept telling Chris and I how great the cake tasted (we opted for four different flavors for each of the layers-maple, red velvet, chocolate, and cannoli) we were glad there was enough to go around to all attendees and proud of the fact that so many enjoyed it since they all were telling us that wedding cake typically does not taste that great, but that this one was the exception. We had spoken with Sweet Surrender about how to go about saving the top layer for the anniversary so the following day we went to Shaw’s, purchased freezer bags, and kept it in their freezer until we got back from our honeymoon in Montreal, then we drove back to NY and we still have it in our freezer. So if you are looking to follow this tradition it is certainly doable with one of Bonnie’s cakes. I highly recommend using Sweet Surrender for any of our baking needs-our cake turned out wonderfully and we are quite pleased with how delicious it tasted too!

  The cake was absolutely delicious! We did carrot cake and vanilla, and are saving our mocha tier for our anniversary. It was a fantastic cake and we're so happy we decided to go with Sweet Surrender.

We showed up to taste cakes with an hour's notice (she whipped us some little cupcakes with difference flavor/icing combos) and we picked 2 flavors, one for each tier so that guests would have some options.   The one thing is, as we are a couple who were both highly involved in the planning of our wedding, while we mostly were able to sit back and enjoy our wedding day, we were both so confused and overwhelmed by our joyous and wonderful time that we ended up making the cut on the top tier. Both of us laugh about it since it’s documented in our wedding pictures but it’s a good sidenote to share with future brides and grooms to note. LOL.

So if you are looking to follow this tradition it is certainly doable with one of Bonnie’s cakes. I highly recommend using Sweet Surrender for any of our baking needs-our cake turned out wonderfully and we are quite pleased with how delicious it tasted too!

  We got married Memorial Day weekend-May 24, 2014. We had started considering venues the year before and knew that we wanted to be married within the Okemo Valley region since my husband Chris’ family annually spends a week during the summer in between Lake Rescue and Lake Pauline for the past 30 years. Chris and I had been frequenting Sweet Surrender bakery for the previous 7 years when vacationing and we always enjoyed the various pastries and assortment of cookies offered and the freshly-brewed Green Mountain coffee. In addition the staff members had always been knowledgeable and willing to help.
  The one thing is, as we are a couple who were both highly involved in the planning of our wedding, while we mostly were able to sit back and enjoy our wedding day, we were both so confused and overwhelmed by our joyous and wonderful time that we ended up making the cut on the top tier. Both of us laugh about it since it’s documented in our wedding pictures but it’s a good sidenote to share with future brides and grooms to note. LOL.
  Everyone kept telling Chris and I how great the cake tasted (we opted for four different flavors for each of the layers-maple, red velvet, chocolate, and cannoli) we were glad there was enough to go around to all attendees and proud of the fact that so many enjoyed it since they all were telling us that wedding cake typically does not taste that great, but that this one was the exception. We had spoken with Sweet Surrender about how to go about saving the top layer for the anniversary so the following day we went to Shaw’s, purchased freezer bags, and kept it in their freezer until we got back from our honeymoon in Montreal, then we drove back to NY and we still have it in our freezer. So if you are looking to follow this tradition it is certainly doable with one of Bonnie’s cakes.
