The Eleve Ballroom is a beautiful, modern venue to have a wedding ceremony and reception. There are floor-to-ceiling windows that have almost panoramic views of the city! Phyllis Washington is a pleasure to work with. Each and every staff member is kind and hardworking! We are so grateful for all of them! The get ready rooms, suites, duplex suite are amazing spaces! The food came out hot for each of our guests! The food was delicious! The liquor menu and bar was incredible! We highly recommend the Swissotel Chicago for your special day!

The Swissotel was an amazing venue for our dream wedding! Phyllis, the hotel event manager and our main point of contact throughout the process, was passionate about helping us craft our perfect day. She was patient and flexible during the entire planning phase, even when we had special requests that were unique to our wedding experience. The food was incredible and on-par with the best I've had in Chicago. The event staff was excellent and helped us turn our wedding into the best party of the year. I think my favorite part of the whole experience was the Eleve ballroom, which was transformed into a elegant venue and provided a fantastic view of the city. Finally, we received a very competitive room block so many of our out-of-town guests could stay at the hotel, making it so that most guests were either local or could just stay in the hotel for the whole day. If you want to have your wedding in downtown Chicago, we highly recommend the Swissotel!

What an AMAZING wedding venue. The penthouse (Eleve) with floor to ceiling windows offered views of Chicago that were breathtaking. The event coordinator, Phyliss Washington was kind, professional, attentive and true perfectionist. It was so stress free knowing that she was in charge. The food/drinks were amazing and the chef worked with us and even made a custom salad! The guest rooms/fitness gym were updated and beautiful. Would highly recommend!

I really only have the highest praise for our venue experience with Swissotel. Phyllis Washington, the venue coordinator (I think her official title is Senior Event Sales Manager) and Joe Cedillo the banquet manager were great. Phyllis was extraordinarily incredible - I'm one to value clear communication, and Phyllis answered ALL my questions in all of our email correspondence in a timely manner, which is not something that I can say happens with most people I correspond with, vendors or not!

The venue itself is gorgeous - the ceremony and reception were both hosted on the 42nd floor with views of the river and the lake. Views from rooms were outstanding as well, which was a huge bonus for our guests traveling from out of town staying at our hotel block - even though the weather was crappy all weekend which made it hard for guests to explore Chicago, they got to see a lot of it just out their window!

Overall, highly recommend!! So easy to work with and such a pretty place - and compared to some of the other downtown venues this one is fairly reasonably priced.

We could not be more thrilled with how amazing our wedding was at the Swissotel. The venue is just stunning – you can see views of navy pier, the skyline, river and lake. The Swissotel team is also wonderful… Phyllis Washington is a true professional; she’s so easy to work with, responsive, kind and helpful! Phyllis takes pride in her work and wants to ensure your event is perfect! The food at our wedding was unparalleled! We got so many compliments on how good the food was! The service and bar was also top-notch. Phyllis and Joe (banquet manager) even sent us a few appetizers and champagne to enjoy privately as a newly married couple before we met back up with guests, which was such a special touch! Everything went flawlessly at the Swissotel and Phyllis helped make that happen! Our wedding felt like an absolute dream – I hope every couple has that feeling and I’m sure you will if you have your wedding at the Swissotel!

Great hotel to use for our wedding room block. They offered an amenities package that was very generous. The staff, Jennifer and Annie, were amazing to work with. Annie was our main point of contact, and she was very responsive and easy to work with. The perks that you get and the service provided were easily the best out of many hotels we reached out to. The rooms are great with a near guaranteed view of the river and/or lake. On behalf of the many guests who traveled in from out of town thank you Swissotel for a phenomenal experience.

Hotel block and getting ready space for bride and groom were here. Staff was awesome and allowed for multiple visits and accommodated a large (needy) family from out of town. Kate was amazing and sent little treats to the bridal room and really made the weekend feel special!

We had a lovely reception at the Swissotel! We started with our cocktail hour downstairs in their Currents Room (a lounge) and then moved the party upstairs to the Edelweiss Penthouse (on the 43rd floor) for dinner and dancing. The views from the Edelweiss are unparalleled, looking over Navy Pier, the lake, and River North. And for all of our out-of-town guests, the room really showed off Chicago beautifully. Our reception of ~85 people fit perfectly in this smaller room. The rates were very competitive and the staff was accomodating.

We held our reception at the Edelweiss Penthouse on the 43rd floor. You can't bet the view from there. You can see the lake on one side and downtown on the other because of the way the building is layout. First of all, you will get the free fireworks on navy pier around 9pm, about the starting time for the dance floor. This draws people away from the table!! Secondly, the staff makes you feel so welcome!! I really appreciate that. Swiss is a fancy hotel. If you walk in there with ripped jean and flannel shirt, they would treat you the same as if you were wearing suit and tie. Lastly, I have to say, there food blows your mind!! They were awesome!!

The Swissotel was the perfect location for my wedding reception. The view was unbeatable. Once Mr. Tanzil took over as my main contact (the previous employee was let go) things ran smoothly and tasks were accomplished in a timely fashion. The food was superb, and the staff was curtious and attentive to not just myself (Bride) but all my guests. Mr. Tanzil was flexible in negotiating unique requests for my wedding as well as following through with promises made. There is no need for a wedding planner with such a full service, competent, proffessional staff.

They provided the absolute best service that I wanted,Ihighly recommend them!!

Our wedding in the Edelweiss Penthouse of the Swissotel was magnificent! From the views, to the fantastic food to the unbelievable service- everything was perfect! I can't say enough about the director of catering, Phil Pessin, as well as the service staff. They did an outstanding job from start to finish. All of my friends and family raved about the venue and the service as well- we were very proud to have had such a gorgeous and well-orchestrated event. Thank you Phil and Swissotel for making my wedding a spectacular event!

Because of the quick thinking, incredible planning, time and energy that Phil Pessin put into our wedding, everything was perfect! He was always available to answer questions or solve problems. On our wedding day, Phil was around throughout to check in, congratulate and run the show. The staff knew exactly what to do and when to do it. The reception ran flawlessly, despite a few quick changes on our part. It was a beautiful wedding, with gorgeous views, fabulous service and terrific memories. Thanks!!

Daniel Jack, at Swissotel Chicago, went above and beyond to make sure everything went off without a hitch. He was responsive and thoughtful. His entire team did a great job. Everything was beautiful and we spent the night having fun, not worrying about the details.

It is a beautiful space, and there were so many people making sure that everything ran smoothly. We're happy we chose this location. Excellent view of the city/lake.

Phil Pessin is amazing. He was willing to work with us on all levels to create the wedding of our dreams. We opted for a less traditional wedding and only had a cocktail reception with heavy horsdevours and cocktails. We had out wedding on the 43rd floor penthouse which over looked Navy Pier and the Chicago skyline, it was just gorgeous.

Although expensive, totally worth it. we got a gorgeous room with a big bath tub, which helps after you've been dancing all night. The view from the hotel is amazing. it was all just incredibly romantic. i'm glad we splurged on the wedding night.

We chose the Swissotel for its all-inclusive offering and its incredible views of the city. We also got incredible food and drink and invaluable day-of help from Phyllis to make it a totally magical night.

We used Swissotel for guest hotel room block and catering breakfast the next day. Even though the hotel didn't delivery the guest bags on time and has issues the pain point for me was the breakfast. I am reviewing the breakfast.

Swissotel was disappointing as a hotel venue for my wedding guest. I blocked a group of rooms for my wedding guest. I decided to have breakfast offered the next day to my guests. Not knowing who would come down or how much I figured get continental breakfast should be enough options and more food than one person would eat. I was wrong. Even though the contract and menu said “Croissants, Danishes Pastries, and Associated Muffins” all 3 listed and all 3 are plural so I assume at a minimum it would 3-6 pieces per person the staff only budgeted 1.5 so literally 1 and half an item per person. Who does that, half of a muffin? I paid +$960 for 20 people to have 30 SMALL pastries. I could have spent less money catering in. So not only did we spend money in blocking 20 rooms at over $200+ each room they took +$960 for a breakfast that I was embossed by. I brought it up to the hotel and they refused to resolve this even though I said it was embarrassing and put a damper when I think of my wedding. It was one of the few disappointments I had. I emailed corporate and heard nothing. So I am letting future brides beware. If you block the rooms and plan to offer breakfast make sure you discuss in detail what they are offering as they will cheat you.
