Sydney was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! After searching high and low for the perfect photographer, the moment I connected with Sydney I knew she was the one. A 30 minute face time quickly turned into 2 hours. We clicked instantly, and I could tell she truly understood the vision I had for capturing our special day. I want to say we talked to at least 15 people, and once we met Syd it was a no-brainier. I am so glad she was just as excited and open to flying out to Montana as we were to have her there!
From the very beginning, Sydney went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of. Her expertise and attention to detail were unparalleled - she helped me with the timeline, provided invaluable advice, and made sure we were completely prepared leading up to the wedding. Sydney's dedication and professionalism were apparent in everything she did.
On the wedding day, Sydney's calming presence and ability to make everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera was remarkable. My fiancé, who is usually shy in front of the camera, said he would work with Sydney again in a heartbeat. She has such a gift for putting people at ease and bringing out their best.
The photos Sydney captured are truly breathtaking. She has an incredible eye and artistic talent that is evident in every shot. We received the photos from our rehearsal dinner the very next morning - what an amazing surprise and gift! The turnaround time on all of our photos was faster than we ever could have expected. Such a special gift.
Sydney has become more of a friend than just a vendor to us. We cannot wait to work with her again, whether it's for our next big life event or just a fun photo shoot. We will fly to whenever she is, because she is THAT GREAT. If you are looking for a photographer who is incredibly talented, professional, and wonderful to work with, look no further than Sydney. We are forever grateful to her for helping to make our wedding day so special. -

Sydney Shaye is AMAZING!!
I just received my gallery from our engagement photo shoot in Colorado. I am absolutely blown away! Sydney has God-given talent. I truly believe photography is what she was born to do. I am a very picky person when it comes to photos, when I am taking my own photos, I have to take 100 to find 1 good one. I don’t naturally feel photogenic. All of the photos Sydney took I am in love with. I am so confident with all of these photos. My fiancé and I felt comfortable during our shoot, it did not feel forced, and Sydney was able to capture our love beautifully. Sydney got our photos back to us very fast. I 1000% recommend Sydney. -

Sydney had a promotion going on for her photography services where she would travel to San Francisco at no charge to us, and shoot our engagement photos. We had so much fun shooting with her and she really helped my fiance to feel more comfortable and at ease (he hates photos lol). Later that day, she texted me that some photos were ready to view and they were amazing! I texted her to let her know that we had an engagement party coming up and asked if she could edit a couple more... she then, in THREE DAYS, had our entire shoot completed and sent them all to me to use for our party. Understandably, this situation is extremely rare and doesn't happen often, but Sydney went out of her way to get us everything we needed for our party and all the photos were perfect. Highly recommend. -

Sydney Shaye Photography is Unmatched!
Sydney is easily the best photographer I know! We hired her for our wedding in September 2022, and she went above and beyond! Sydney is very responsive and invested in her clients; as soon as she responded to my inquiry, she answered all the questions I had. Her flexibility is unmatched too! Our venue was only available the day before the one I quoted her, and she responded in minutes about changing the date for us. Sydney also set up a coffee meeting, so we could talk about all the pictures we were looking for and a timeline. She made me feel so comfortable that I was going to get the pictures I wanted, and she even lent me advice on planning which was so helpful. The day of, she was AMAZING!! She was so kind, professional, and helpful. My husband and I are not inherently photogenic, and she made sure we felt comfortable while directing our poses that felt really natural. I loved how Sydney is both a helpful friend and a photographer on wedding day! She even had a little crochet tool to help my bridesmaids button up my dress. And our pictures are stunning!! The next day she was able to send us some sneak peeks, and I’m already having trouble picking just a few to frame—they’re all too good!! If you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding, you have to pick Sydney! She is thoughtful, professional, talented, and kind! -

Sydnye is incredibly talented, organized, and professional. Her laid back style when shooting made us feel comfortable. That’s saying a lot because I am usually really uncomfortable in front of the camera. Her skills are one of a kind and working with her is a no brainer!!! -

Sydney was amazing to work with! It was me and my boyfriends first time getting professional photos taken and she was so easy and comfortable to work with. She came prepared for elements (aka rain on the Oregon Coast) and we had so much fun together. The gallery we received is a dream, I can’t thank her enough! -

Our special Day
Syd was absolutely amazing to work with. We had her shoot our special day and I couldn’t have asked for anything more special. She is absolutely adorable and so amazing to work with. Sydney took all the photos of us leading up to the ceremony and also helped style and make the shots memorable. My favorite shots were her candid shots. They were some of the best from all the wedding photos which is a nice surprise. Wedding photos are so important, you can’t go wrong choosing Sydney! -

Backyard wedding
My husband and I decided to have a backyard wedding at a family member’s home who lived a state away about 6 weeks before the date. We weren’t expecting to find many vendors on such short notice, so our priority was a good photographer. Sydney miraculously had the weekend available and was within our budget. I am so incredibly thankful for her kindness, flexibility, creativity, and undeniable talent in capturing our wedding. She took the time to document not only the big things but the little details that made our evening so special. She shot in bright sunlight, shade, sunset, and dusk, and they all turned out beautifully. My husband and I both lost our grandmothers within a few weeks of our wedding, so the beautiful photos she captured of our last major memory with each of them are such treasures. My husband and I, along with our families, are so incredibly thankful for our wedding album. I 100000% recommend Sydney Shaye Photography. -

We absolutely loved having Sydney take couples photos of my husband and I. She is so fun and easygoing and made the whole experience a blast! I can’t say enough positive things about Sydney. It was our first time meeting her, but you wouldn’t know it! She made my whole family feel comfortable and at ease from the minute we met her. She took her time with my family and was so patient! The pictures turned out AMAZING - she captured the authentic and “in between” moments with my family, which make them feel so much more personal. We will cherish these photos for life!
