    The most amazing wedding food!

Table Catering Co.'s team was truly remarkable for our intimate wedding at The Almquist Winery in Seattle, WA. By booking The Almquist Winery for our wedding venue, the catering company we had to work with was with Table. I am so glad that working with Brooke and her team was required. I literally owe Brooke and her team (special shoutout to Jenny) for working with us and our wedding postponements. We were a May 2020 wedding and finally had our wedding on May 2022. They were so understanding of the changes. Brooke and Jenny were so responsive and so helpful when I had questions, especially the months leading up to the wedding. The food was absolutely delicious (please get the artichokes as an appetizer - they were a hit with everyone). We opted for a waffle bar instead of cake and we are so glad we did. These waffles were truly gourmet and perfect. I highly recommend booking Table for any event if you are considering them. Plus, look at their presentation! Brooke is also excited to do custom menu options and really customizes it to your needs! We had two vegans and 1 gluten free guest and she made specific dishes for them! We no longer live in Seattle, WA but if I ever need to have an event catered in the area I will book Table in a heartbeat.

    Phenomenal Meal

Brooke did an amazing job putting together a meal for our wedding day. She worked closely with us to find a menu that was just to our liking and prepared one of the best meals (and cakes) we’ve had all year. We hope to find an opportunity to work with her again!

Chef Brooke and her team did a fantastic job creating a beautifully personalized menu for 150 guests at our wedding at the Center for Urban Horticulture in Northeast Seattle. From day one, Brooke went above and beyond to tailor our menu choices to fit our family, tastes, and ultimately reflect us as a couple. For our guests with dietary restrictions, she even created a separate dish for their enjoyment. She assisted us with hiring bartenders, obtaining flatware, dish, and linen rentals from CORT, and was even there for us when we decided to change our table dimensions at the last minute. Brooke puts her heart into everything she does, and it shows!

As a relatively new catering company to the wedding arena, we were aware that we were taking a chance with Table. We ultimately chose Table Private Chef and Catering over many other well-known catering companies in Seattle because of Chef Brooke's commitment to the finest ingredients, unique and custom dishes, and impeccable service. We were satisfied with how everything turned out on our wedding day, but to be honest, there were a few minor snags. I call them minor because my husband and I are perfectionists ourselves, so what we see as a snag is probably unnoticed by a regular observer ;). Our guests were definitely unaware for the most part, as they were ALL extremely impressed with the food! After our wedding, we called Brooke and had a chance to reflect on the wedding - I'm confident that she'll be making good changes for the future!

Thank you, Team Table, for being an integral part of our wedding! I mean, where else would we have been able to customize a dessert table with matcha canelés & iced matcha lattés PLUS stroopwafels & Colombian coffee?! None that I know of, and I did ample research :)

    We love Table Catering Co!

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Brooke at Table Catering Co for our August wedding this past year. One of the things we cared most about our wedding was to have shared, joyful meals with delicious food, and Brooke and her team absolutely delivered on that promise. Brooke catered our rehearsal and wedding dinners, and we had the best time with our family and friends enjoying incredible food and drink all weekend long. Brooke created customized food and drink menus individualized to us and our food/drink preferences. Brooke made our vision come to life and brought so much talent, knowledge, creativity, and thoughtfulness to the food and drink menu selection and preparation. She also managed many other things behind the scenes (e.g., putting together rental orders, serving outside food/desserts that we brought in, finding tables for rehearsal dinner after a venue mishap).

We would gladly recommend Table Catering Co to any of our loved ones looking for a catering service (or just dessert at Bell’s Cookies after a walk around Green Lake). We had so many of our family and friends compliment how fantastic the food and drinks were and how kind and helpful the staff was. Thank you so much, Brooke and the Table team!

Fresh, locally-sourced, wedding meal - perfect for foodies!

Brooke (the owner and chef at Table Catering Co.) was simply amazing. My husband and I hired her for our wedding dinner and she planned and executed an incredible meal for us. She sourced local & in-season foods to make for a refreshing, summery meal. We were so impressed by her creativity when planning our wedding menu (some of our favorites were her lebanese meatball appetizer with aji verde sauce, shaved asparagus and fennel salad with cantaloupe/fresno chile/feta/mint, and an entree of baked cod with red pepper/capers/lemon). Brooke is the perfect hire for a self-proclaimed "foodie". Not to mention the presentation of the food was thoughtful and beautiful. Great for wedding pictures!

Our event was particularly complicated with COVID, and we had to change from an 80+ person wedding to a 10 person gathering. Brooke was understanding and flexible throughout the process and made sure that the event was special regardless of the COVID limitations. Her guidance/wedding know-how throughout the process was invaluable. Brooke primarily works out of Almquist winery, which is an excellent venue for anyone looking for a small to mid-size gathering. Our small group ate in the winery's greenhouse - a magical snow globe of flowers, candles, and twinkle lights.

We would love to use Brooke again for an event in the future and we couldn't recommend her services enough. Definitely try her homemade cookies - the Columbian Corn is divine!

    Horrendous Management

We booked Table Catering Co. for our wedding because they have an exclusive catering contract and manage the Almquist Winery venue where we wanted to get married. Unfortunately, Table Catering Co.’s management is rude, dishonest, and very difficult to work with.

It was clear early on that the venue’s mismanagement was going to be an issue, but we loved the Almquist Winery so much that we decided to do everything in our power to make it work. We hired one of Table’s “preferred” wedding planners in the hopes that they would have a positive working relationship. Unfortunately, as time went on our wedding planners repeatedly told us that Table’s administrative practices were “horrendous” and “unacceptable”. Eventually it got so bad that our planners (their PREFERRED planners) said they “were severing all future ties”.

Table did so many rude and unprofessional things that I can’t name them all and stay in the character limits for this review. They didn’t show up for scheduled meetings and tastings. They sent us invoices with an illegal additional 2.2% tax charge (King County tax rate is 10.25%. They tried to charge us 12.44%). After months of reaching out and working together (and Jenny confirming our date), they made us change the date of our wedding because they didn’t want to book a Saturday for less than 80 people. After several rounds of invoicing from Jenny, Brooke added an additional $1,200 to our venue costs. Worst of all, a mere 20 days before our wedding, Brooke refused to honor our executed contract and tacked on an additional $1,000+. When we asked them to honor their written estimates and contracts along the way, their response was, essentially, if you don’t want to pay the higher price then cancel your wedding because another bride will pay us more. As our wedding date got closer and they kept finding new charges to add to our invoices and signed contracts we felt extorted. We had to either pay their extra fees or cancel our wedding at the last minute.

In total we paid $11,718.59 to Almquist/Table for a 30 person wedding on a Sunday evening. This broke down as follows: $400 for a 3 person tasting; $2,325.00 for 3 food stations and 3 Hors d'Oeuvres; $1,670 for service staff (1 bartender, 2 servers, and 3 chefs); $3,300 for the event space (greenhouse and restaurant); $250 for a cleaning fee; $870 in bar charges; $1,052.29 in taxes; and $1,851.30 in mandatory administrative fees. The mandatory administrative fees are described in the contract as “Admin fee includes all gratuity and service charges”. Despite paying over $3,500 in wages and mandatory gratuities for 5 service staff, on the day of our wedding we received terrible service and the staff actively solicited additional tips from our guests. The bartender went so far as to put a tip jar front and center on the counter and place a $20 bill slung over the side to encourage our guests to tip more. It was incredibly tacky.

    Table Catering Co.'s reply:

    xCassie,

Thank you so much for your detailed review. Your wedding ended up beautiful.
Sometimes protecting your business doesn't mean you will be liked or be friends with everyone.

There is a difference between working with someone and being taken advantage of.
You continually tried to get things for free, ex. crab, beverages, some venue fees. When we charged you for crab, you didn't want to pay. You tried to sneakily get a 30% discount on ALL of the food after the $/pp was signed on. You had your wedding on the date that was signed on the contract.
I ended up giving you a discount on the food to be compassionate and work with you both (after giving you a discount on the venue and making an exception for how to pay for beverages) and that did not seem to be taken into account at all, after you tried and wanted to pay for less than contracted.

Our staff were treated terribly that day, which was unfortunate. Seeing as how you reviewed most of your previously well reviewed vendors terribly, I would expect nothing less. Unfortunately, your planners (the 4 that you went through at the same company, after denying working with the first 3) said the same things about you guys from day 1.

Cassie, the view is always better from the high road.
