    Tamara did an excellent job with our wedding. It was more than what I could have ever asked for. We had no knowledge on wedding planning or where to start. She was very professional, dependable and helpful. We were very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her. Her knowledge and experience definitely made our wedding a dream. She worked with our input and budget. She went above and beyond to make our wedding special and spent time on every detail. She helped us pick out our flowers and even handmade our flower arrangements. She gave us excellent recommendations for vendors as well. She alleviated us of any stress we may have had and made us feel like family. I would recommend her to anyone and would be confident with knowing she would plan the perfect wedding!

    In short - YES YES YES YES!! The Best! Awesome! Amazing! That is how I describe not only Tamara, but the wedding weekend she planned for us.

    We got engaged Nov 2016 and had our wedding set for May 2017. I researched several wedding planners in January, emailed them, and Tamara is the only one that picked up the phone and called me (others emailed back). That phone conversation alone showed me how personable she is - attention to detail - etc. I hired her the very next day!

    I live in Florida, but we wanted to have a wedding at the San Francisco City Hall, reception at 1300 on Fillmore, then a day in Napa with 3 wineries the next day. She planned every detail - and opened my eyes to other options as well that were awesome (sending our guest on a tour of San Fran right after the wedding - before the reception - on one of the HIstoric Trolleys with appetizer and drinks).

    Tamara became like a member of our family through this process. She allowed me to ask a million questions and always had an answer for me. I know Tamara is something I will keep in touch with forever and I appreciate all that she did to make my dreams become reality!

    Hire Tamara. She gets it. She understands the bride. She gets the family. She is seriously the best!

    Tamara planned and designed my wedding and did a phenomenal job. She was knowledgeable, practical, and understanding. She managed everything from our budget to our family. I honestly don't know how we could have done it without her. There's so much to weddings that you never consider, from small details ("we have to spend how much more on serving utensils if we go family style?") to major considerations ("what do mean there's not enough light in here for people to see what they eat?"). She worked closely with my wife who had some unconventional ideas (Halloween theme with skulls and a red wedding dress) she wanted to include and Tamara was able to work them all in and still make it a wedding that everyone enjoyed. Over a year later, and our guests are still telling us how great our wedding was and how much fun they had. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

    We relied on Tamara extensively due to being in Ohio and the wedding in Sonoma. Her ability to learn what was important to the bride and groom narrowed our search for the venue while identifying other major items from food to linens. She stayed connected to all of us to get the details just right and brought energy and enthusiasm with each call and email. My visit in February to look at venues, meet caterers, photographers, etc., was well organized and executed. I found myself tearing up at almost every location and Tamara was there to guide me through the new world of wedding planning flawlessly, calm my fears about a destination wedding, and more -- all while providing emotional support! The bride and groom took it from there making adjustments and seeking additional information with Tamara’s advice, guidance, negotiating skills and feedback. In May the bride and Groom went to Sonoma to finalize everything with Tamara and the vendors, learned what to do about getting their license and planned accordingly. The bride and groom felt excited and at ease after their trip - which is all we could hope for! The location for rehearsal dinner, brunch the day after the event, etc., were suggested by Tamara and all of the events were executed beautifully. Tamara kept a close eye on EVERYTHING to ensure things ran smoothly all the way to down to specialty dietary and beverage details for some guests. The DJ and florist were outstanding and put the finishing touches on the magical day. I encourage anyone planning an event or wedding to spend some time with Tamara and let her create the perfect event for you too! After one conversation, you will ask yourself..."Where do I sign up?"

    Tamara helped me find my voice & taste while we were planning my wedding. On our first phone call, she picked the perfect color palette for our wedding. Within a week, she introduced me to Pinterest for inspiration & made me a board. I had not visualized or planned the big day growing up so she was starting with a blank canvas. Tamara provided feedback & suggestions on anything we asked for including above & beyond requests such as a tip schedule, a conference call with the MOB about wedding shower anxiety, groom's gift ideas, & more. A family member took a last minute trip out to Sonoma & Tamara arranged visits with all of our vendors, the venue, etc. & knocked the her socks off! My husband & I are business professionals, planners, & list makers - she operated in our task master environment as effortlessly as she did with the creative vendors. Tamara matched us with vendors that fit our wallet & our personalities. This made the event that much more spectacular. Tamara planned our wedding & rehearsal dinner - she was our Sonoma expert since we planned a destination wedding to a destination we had never been to - & she gave us the gift of a lifetime. She thought of details we did not - she brought wraps to the reception for the ladies who were cold, & orchids to the rehearsal dinner for centerpieces & more. Tamara was professional, responsive, friendly, understanding & firm - which is exactly what I needed. She even negotiated down the rate of the site fee for our venue after we had chosen it. She makes the day/event/etc. about you & your groom. She anticipates guest personalities & flexes to many styles. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her & her talent. If you calculate the value you receive for the time & effort Tamara spends making your day unforgettable - she is a bargain. I would recommend Tamara to any bride who wants a wedding planner who can take charge, help her navigate through the all of the planning noise & has personality to spare!

    My husband and I were able to have the most perfect wedding of our dreams because of Tamara J. She was such a blessing to us. We had a 6 month engagement, and she worked tirelessly and diligently to make sure everything went perfectly not only the day of, but every day up until. Many bride-to-be's are full of stress and anxiety and fortunately, because of Tamara, I never experienced either feeling through our wedding planning process. She made it fun, and exciting. I thought I had many of the details and ideas planned out, but she put her magic touch on them and made them all better than we could have imagined. When this woman is in her element, she's unstoppable. She was generous, thoughtful, and always put us at ease. Thank you Tamara, for giving us the wedding of our dreams, the party of a lifetime and memories that will last forever. We love you, and are so thankful for everything, including the friendship we now have with you.

    My husband and I tied the knot last Sunday at the Vezer Family Blue Victorian in Fairfield, CA. Our wedding day was a huge success largely because of Tamara Jones- thank goodness for her!!!

    We thought we had finished planning most of our wedding back in the beginning of May, and realized that it would be beneficial to bring on some help with coordination as the day approached. We found Tamara on http://yelp.com and were very pleased with the initial impression she made on the phone. We had a two hour conversation about our wedding concept, her favorite moments as a wedding planner, and what she has done for couples in the past. She started helping us coordinate the wedding even before she sent us the invoice for the first payment. All she needed from us was a list of our vendors and contact information and she took the coordination from there.

    It turned out that our flower concept needed some work, so she visited our florist on multiple occasions to make sure everything was being orchestrated correctly. She also worked tirelessly with our caterers on planning and execution. This was our caterer's first event and from the guests' standpoint, the plated food was delivered flawlessly, deliciously, and gracefully. Tamara helped us work with the space at our beautiful location to turn it into a venue that could fit our desired amount of guests comfortably. She also planned all of our lighting and decorations working with our favorite concepts via pinterest. She really tied our vendors together in a schedule that flowed well- although everyone knows that weddings never stay exactly on schedule or go exactly as planned. The most important concept to embrace on your big day is flexibility, and the ability to be completely present in the moment. Many things did not go as we had thought, but with Tamara on site, we didn't have to worry about management of the issues that came up amongst the vendors. :)

    Tamara has initiative and passion about planning weddings. She has the knowledge and experience to know what to do in case things do not go as planned on your big day. She works with vendors on communicating your desired concept for the wedding. Overall, her price for all of this effort is extremely reasonable when the help she gives you is priceless.

    Tamara is WONDERFUL! I would recommend her to any bride that wants a fun, professional, creative friend to work with on their special day. Tamara became part of our family during the process and she will always be trusted as family.

    I have to say that I never thought I would need a wedding planner, but early on, I realized I was over my head and had no clue as to all the details that go into planning a wedding. Then I found Tamara J Events and this woman was amazing. She pulled together the most amazing team of vendors, found us a gorgeous private estate overlooking the water in Monterrey and planned our entire 3-day event from welcome party to send off brunch. My wedding was not only beautiful, but we started on time and if there was a hitch, I certainly never saw it.

    My guests are still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding. Tamara is fun, detailed, a ball of energy and she's the first one on-site and the last to leave. She was diligent and courteous, knew what guests needed special care (pregnant, elderly, food allergies, etc). Most of all, she took care of me and I walked down the aisle feeling....as Tamara says, FABULOUS!!! I would certainly recommend her as one of the best wedding planners in the business.

    Tamara did a fantastic job planning my wedding! I don't know how she did it all, and did it so well, but everything went off without a hitch. I expected her to be professional and efficient but she also knew how to make my 2-year-old granddaughters pose for pictures, create a new dessert when the caterer ran out of chocolate at the reception, and keep everyone in line during the whole process! I highly recommend Tamara J Events to anyone who wants a well-run celebration, and who wants to have fun in the process.

    I am so grateful to have had Tamara as my planner! My wedding was perfect and just as I had imagined. She understood my vision and was able to see it through. It was beautiful and picture perfect. Everything went smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day as I knew Tamara would take care of it all. During the week before my wedding, she coordinated everything with all of my vendors. I used her to consult with me in the planning process. She had some great ideas. I was trying to be budget minded for a wedding in wine county. She was very respectful of that and gave me good suggestions on trying to cut costs and what I should expect to pay for services. If a vendor was too high, I looked elsewhere, and ended up saving quite a bit of money. All of the vendors I chose worked out great. She is very high energy and knows what works and what doesn't, and is not afraid to speak her mind. She runs a tight ship so we did not loose a minute of our wedding day. I feel she earned every dollar that I paid her. I couldn't have done it without her!

    We researched and interviewed several planners, but booked Tamara as soon as we met her. We loved her spunky yet warm personality and it was clear that she was a go-getter from the get-go.

    We hired her for day of/month of coordination. Our expectation was that she would not enter the picture until a few weeks before our wedding day as most planners do for this level of service.

    Tamara really cares about her brides and her events, so she invested much more time than we ever expected her to in helping our day go off without a hitch. She took our vision for our wedding and expanded on it and helped us save money along the way. By the end of it, we really felt that she had paid for herself.

    She was there for us throughout the process and worked harder than anyone else the weekend of our wedding. From giving our guests directions, to organizing the vendors… No task was too big or too small. She tackled them all and was the last one to leave on our wedding day.

    She was worth her weight in gold. We’d definitely hire her again to help us with future events! Love her!

    Tamara helped me out with my wedding last April, 2011. It was a little hard getting a hold of her at first, but all good things requires a little bit of patience. Regardless, I was very pleased with how she helped me get organized at the last minute and definitely turned things around for me in finalizing the reception and all other details of the wedding. I definitely felt relieved the moment I signed the contract, I felt as though I had another me who knew the vibe and theme of what I was going for. Tamara was also very professional and fun to work with, I'm very pleased with having her be a part of my wedding.

    Tamara is wonderful! If you're looking for a wedding planner that truly cares about your special day and wants to customize it for you, Tamara's your girl. She did a wonderful job of selecting vendors that were tailored and perfect for us and our vision of our dream wedding. She has great relationships with so many people in and around wine country that she has her finger on the pulse of what is happening. Tamara is also very hands on - you won't be dealing with assistants or other planners. She goes with you to all the vendor visits and is there every step of the way from rehearsal through the send off. By the end of the festivities, she's practically a member of the family! Finally, Tamara is very straightforward and fair. You see all the contracts directly from the vendors - there's no hidden pricing. She'll works within the budget to give you the best wedding possible. When looking for wedding planners for our wine country wedding, I looked at many options but couldn't have imagined our wedding without her! Tamara is the best!

    We hadn't planned on hiring a planner. It wasn't really in our budget and my wife and I are both ridiculously organized, plan-ahead-and-then-put-the-info-into-a-spreadsheet-and-print-copies-for-everyone type of people. But, our location required it, so we did some research and decided to hire Tamara for "day-of planning". Now a year removed from the wedding, we're really glad that we did.

    Turns out, wedding planning is like a secret society. No matter how many online reviews I read or recommendations I got, Tamara always knew another way or another vendor to consider. Our budget was relatively small for a wine country wedding and Tamara did a great job of helping us stay within our means. Our day was beautiful, everything looked exactly how we'd hoped, and Tamara even gave the last few partyers (my wife & I included) a ride back to our hotels at the end of the night. In other words, Tamara was wonderful.

    The only minor hiccups we encountered revolved around Tamara's rather strong personality. Now, as someone with a strong streak of my own, I loved it. But, my slightly more subdued wife sometimes struggled with suggestions that at times came across sounding more like demands. This was in no way a deal breaker, just know that if you find yourself feeling the same, it's okay to politely push back. Also, make sure to double check things. A few times we talked to Tamara about chairs numbers, vendor meals, etc. and when we talked later she said something completely different than what she'd told us before. I know she's always juggling a bunch of events at once, so I didn't think it was a big deal. Just make sure that if something is important to you, you double check it before the big day.

    Hiccups aside, Tamara was exactly what we needed and we're extremely thankful for her guidance, assistance, and acceptance on one of the happiest days of our lives. Here's hoping she can play a part in your big day too!

    In spite of a rough start, we ended up with a very creative, hard-working, well-priced and delightful wedding planner for our "day of" services. On site, she was knowledgeable, efficient and responsive plus adding key finishing touches that made things even more picture perfect. She even did some baby-sitting for a little guest who fell asleep in her arms. I would just suggest that in advance you use text messaging to contact her as she is out in the field a great deal and is very slow to respond to phone or email.

    We booked Tamara for our wedding at City Hall and a private dining room at 25 Lusk. We have not heard from her in two months as we had discrepancies regarding prices with our wedding.

    She made a "day of decision" that cost us over $600! As well, what she promised us with regards to the meal pricing, and what we were charged were two different things. What was most frustrating was the different excuses/reason as to why there was a price discrepancy. Later, we found out that she was the one who signed the final contract with our reception vendor that cost us an additional $600. In total her errors, cost us almost $1500. When you only have a wedding for 26 people, that is a huge amount of money. At this point I would not recommend her for a wedding. There were periods of time during the day where she was no where to be found. It almost felt like she was overbooked and it was our wedding that was affected. My name was misspelled on the place setting menus, none of the place settings were done (she claimed she could not open the attachment I sent to her two weeks previously).
