Amazing venue
This historic venue was the perfect place for our wedding! The original brick walls were the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and the reception hall upstairs was the perfect size for our 100+ guest wedding. Mrs. Bunch was there for every call/text we needed and was the most flexible, sweetest person ever. We loved having everything under one roof and our guests loved looking at the museum during cocktail hour. 10/10 recommend! Thank you TFM!This historic venue was the perfect place for our wedding! PERFECT venue!!! Amazing staff! Unique and beautiful setting!! Very affordable! All my guest had nothing but wonderful things to say about our wedding venue! I highly suggest skipping the beach, hotels, and other typical venues for your wedding and having wedding/event at the Tampa Firefighters Museum!! I don’t have pictures of the cocktail hour downstairs in the actual museum yet but I will post some of the reception. Do not skip out on visiting this place while looking because pictures don’t even do this place justice!PERFECT venue!!! Amazing staff! Unique and beautiful setting!! Very affordable! This venue was absolutely the best. Perfect for the non-traditional DIY bride who would like something a little different. My friends and family were so impressed with the buildings beauty and character. The building itself lent itself to our decor and design. The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful in every way possible. Strongly recommend using this venue! This venue was absolutely the best. Affordable and beautiful this venue is perfect! We did both the ceremony and reception here and it was perfect. Scott, the manager, went out of his way to accommodate us and never once complained. He came early, stayed late, and was all around helpful. The best bang for your buck around!Affordable and beautiful this venue is perfect! If you are looking for an urban venue, the Tampa Firefighters Museum ROCKS!!!! The exposed brick, black air ducks, sprinkler system, and wrought iron window coverings make the venue bring 1911 to 2013. We were married on the bottom floor in the museum, and the bride had a dramatic entrance through the original garage doors, next to a vintage firetruck! The cocktail hour continued in the museum and the hall upstairs was used for the reception and dancing. The floors downstairs are sealed concrete and upstairs they are a gorgeous hardwood. There is a fire polll that has plexiglass, so you can see the downstairs museum from the dance floor. Scott is the contact and is very easy going to work with. Only downsides... street parking only (there is a lot across the street, but they charge advance per vehicle) but weekend parking is FREE in downtown Tampa... and their chairs MUST be covered or bring in your own (we used Chivari). Overall... hoping to use this space again for other events! If you are looking for an urban venue, the Tampa Firefighters Museum ROCKS!!!! I chose the museum for the seemingly great value. Our wedding day seemed to go fine until we returned home with a follow-up from our caterer and planner saying the venue was an absolute nightmare to work with. Firstly, We were led to believe there was a fully functioning kitchen, come to find out the day of the caterer had only a sink to work with. All of our food was heated up in crock pots they had to scrounge together. Secondly, we were mislead on the functionality of the lights as well. When it came time for dancing and ALL the lights go out upstairs, our photobooth stopped working due to lack of light. Thirdly, it was HOT. 87 degrees to be exact. The upstairs AC did not work. They try to help by supplying big ugly box fans which cooled the room a bit but we addressed this issue weeks before the wedding while doing another walkthrough and the manager assured us the issue would be fixed and our guests would be comfortable. Well, no one was and it caused a lot of people to leave.
These are just a FEW of the issues we had with them.
When addressing all of these issues, Bill, the museum president did not even apologize for the experience he simply stated he thinks his venue is unique and worth the value. They made it very clear they do not care about their clients.
Since my wedding I've heard they've raised their rates to par with surrounding traditional venues. My advice is pay the extra for a venue and staff that will care to make your day special and has a facility that is fully functional for a wedding.I chose the museum for the seemingly great value.
