  I cannot say enough about how amazing and talented Tara is. Tara did my make up for both my wedding and engagement party. I never felt more beautiful. The makeup for both events lasted ALL day, I mean after hours of dancing and in the hot sun. She worked with my vision and accommodated my sensitive skin and allergies. For my wedding trial, she tested two different looks on my eyes to see which one I liked best. We photographed them both and decided on the best option. The day of the wedding, everything was perfect and I LOVED my make up. She juggled doing the hair of my 9 bridesmaids and doing my make up beautifully and with a smile.
  
  If you want to look gorgeous on your wedding day, there is no better artist! She is worth EVERY penny don't skimp out on photos that you will have the rest of your life. Tara is a real pro and will enhance your natural beauty.

  5 stars for Tara! She and an assistant did hair and makeup for 10 at my SF wedding in Sept 2017.
  
  What I appreciated most about Tara's work:
  1. Very reasonably priced. I inquired with several other hair/makeup artists in the Bay Area, and while other estimates were insane ($600 for a hairdo?!), Tara is affordable and worked with me.
  2. Respectful and honest. Don't overlook the importance of someone who will tell you like it is! I came to Tara with an idea, and she gently told me why it might not turn out how I envisioned (shoulder length hair does not magically become mid-back curls, turns out) and helped me recreate it into something that would work with my hair length and type.
  3. Professional. Tara was responsive over email, showed up on time, worked efficiently.
  4. Wide range of skills. While some of Tara's work is very bold, I wanted something more subtle and she met me there.
  5. Fun! Tara is a great conversationalist and makes the time fly.

  Highly recommend!!! I found Tara through WeddingWire and she was incredibly kind, professional, fun, talented and fairly priced. She made me feel more beautiful than I ever have and she helped keep me calm and laughing during the most stressful time right before the wedding.

  Tara has done my make-up 3 times now. Her work has always been amazing so I have also now booked her for my wedding in Oct!
  My first visit was spent picking new colors and learning new techniques. I really needed a change and Tara exposed me to colors I hadnt tried before (that looked great on) and showed me a few quick and easy ways to spice up my daily routine. Since then Tara has done my make-up for a wedding and most recently make-up AND hair for Valentine's Day. I received so many compliments at the wedding and the make-up looked amazing in all the photos! My fiance's response on Valentine's day "You look gorgeous" says it all! My hair even looked good the next day. Tara is extremely professional, punctual and listens to what her clients really want. I highly recommend her for your make-up (and hair) needs!

  She is an amazing make up artist, she accommodates my weird make up allergies and I still looked flawless. The make up lasted all night and I looked great in pictures.

  Tara did the makeup for my wedding in September 2013. She was recommended to me from the salon where I get my hair done. They all love her so I knew I would be in good hands. She did a trial for me before my bridal shower so she could get an idea of what I wanted. I didn't have any strong opinions... she did an amazing job! She also purchased a lip gloss me for the day of the wedding that she thought would last a long time and be a good color. It was so nice to not have to worry about it and she did pick the perfect lip gloss. :) I had a complicated schedule for all of my bridesmaids and family members that wanted to get their nails, hair and makeup done the day of the wedding. Tara worked with me to put together the list and helped with the timing of how long it would take which is was really nice of her and super helpful. On the day of the wedding she took all of the girls outside to make sure everyone's makeup would like good in day light and inside. I highly recommend Tara for makeup (lasted all night!) and for her professionalism and knowledge when preparing for the big day.

  Tara is professional, accommodating and downright wonderful. I have used her services for both make-up and hair on numerous occasions (including my wedding) and the result is always stellar! I highly recommend Tara Salem Artistry for any of your upcoming events.

  Tara did my makeup for my wedding along with my 3 bridesmaids and 4 sisters! Not only is she professional, patient, and sweet but she is a true artist! She REALLY listens to what the client wants and offers ways and suggestions that are tailored to your liking. On my wedding day, I really wanted to focus on my skin. I wanted it to look flawless and NOT cake-y. I also don't like heavy eye makeup but I wanted something glam enough to look pretty in pictures. She really took my ideas and elevated them to the next level. Thank you Tara!!

  Tara worked true magic on my wedding day, I had the worst acne of my life and she was able to cover it up and make me look the best I have ever seen myself!   Tara has done my make-up a few times, including for my wedding day and also for professional engagement and maternity photoshoots. She is extremely friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. She listens to what you have to say and also gives great advice. She really helped make me feel beautiful! When I look back at my photographs, I am so grateful I used her services!

  Tara is an incredibly talented artist. She highlights your individual assets and makes you look like the best version of yourself. She listens to what you would like and can cater to your vision. She will also share her expertise and make suggestions that might suit your look better that you may have never considered before. She can work under pressure and remain calm, which everyone needs when you are partaking in bridal party shenanigans! Her makeup applications also last well into the night. She will teach you also to add a little touch here or there to make sure that pictures will look flawless. She did my makeup for an event in Livermore in July where it was incredibly hot. I was concerned that my face would melt off, but the work she did held up well into the after party.
  
  Since that wedding event, I had Tara do my hair. She has added so much to her repertoire! It speaks to her passion for what she does. More than anything you will appreciate her upbeat attitude and eye for everything beautiful.

  Book Tara! She's amazing and will make you feel amazing too! She did make up for my wedding and I was so pleased how everyone looked. My mom was hesitant to get her make up done, but after seeing the results, she was so happy. Everyone looked and felt beautiful. I loved how organized she is, responsive to suggestions and I've never felt more beautiful!
